Cashtown Inn Reviews
G
We had an amazing experience. The new innkeepers, Jeremy and Danielle are an extraordinary team. They are kind, fun and funny. They were so willing share their experiences, history and knowledge about the Inn and surrounding areas. It is so clean and welcoming with awesome breakfasts provided by Jeremy. We can't wait to go back! Thank you for making us feel so welcome and at home in your Inn!

I travel extensively for business, but rarely for pleasure. My friend and I decided to take a short trip to Gettysburg and stay at the Cashtown Inn. Without a doubt we made the right decision to stay here. The owners, Danielle and Jeremy are very knowledgeable about the history of the home and the Civil War. From the time we walked into the B&B we were made to feel like family. Jeremy takes the time out of his evening to give a history lesson about the home, which was extremely interesting. Breakfast was amazing. The house and rooms were well kept and clean. You can see they are trying to bring the house back to its original state. If you are looking for a haunted, yes haunted..place with amazing owners/hosts, do not look any further. Thank you both, we will be back!!

First, some details.. The ownership of the Inn changed Aug/Sep 2021. Any (bad) reviews prior to that are on the previous owner. I visited Apr 2022 and the new owners (Jeremy & Danielle) are GREAT! They are friendly, and love talking about the history of the place and are more than happy to show you around and give you a tour during your stay. Breakfast is great! Couple of things to be aware of. All rooms are air conditioned, currently they are only serving breakfast in the restaurant (by the way, its an awesome breakfast!). Someone complained about no vending machines. Well its a historic place and there is not really a lot of room for that kind of stuff. However, there is a Dollar General just out on RT30 (5 mins away) that has all the 'things' you might need. Or just make sure you stock up before checking in. Hint: Sitting out on the porch drinking coffee in the morning is a great relaxing way to get your day started. Its nice to not be in the middle of Gettysburg where it can get crazy at times. Make sure you take lots of pictures, you never can tell what your camera might capture! 8^)

What an amazing Inn !!! First off the Inn Keepers, Jeremy and Danielle, made us feel right at home... they are so welcoming and such a pleasure to talk with. We spent two nights in room 4, the Major General Heth room. The accommodations are top notch and our breakfasts were absolutely delicious !!! Jeremy and Danielle are a wealth of information about the Inn as well as the local and civil war history. You won't be disappointed staying here... we can't wait to return... Jeremy and Danielle made us feel like life long friends from the time we walked through the door.

The historic Cashtown Inn's new caretakers (Jeremy and Danielle) are steadfast in returning the Inn to it's prominent place of historic importance in the Gettysburg Campaign. They have been working tirelessly to bring the Inn back to life and to think that as a guest you are walking the same floors as the Confederate military elite, is something to behold. Jeremy and Danielle are presently working on the kitchen and dining areas. Unfortunately, the only dining provided at this time is the breakfast for the Bed and Breakfast patrons - the meats are locally supplied by Bucher Meats of Cashtown, PA. (We stopped and purchased some country bacon and apple sausage to bring home.) At this time the area previously the bar is serving as the Inn store. Keep an eye on the Inn's social media pages for updates. There are 7 bedrooms, each named after a prominent military leader of the Campaign, each room is en-suite and air conditioned. The rooms are decorated in period pieces, check to see which rooms have refrigerators and TV's if you can't unplug. For us, sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs was just what we needed. Jeremy and Danielle are both a wealth of knowledge on the Inn and are learning more and more as time goes on. They do ask if you have something that you know about the Inn's history please let them know. Now the one thing I will add, there are no vending machines outside, this is a Historic Inn and is not in the middle of a town the size of Gettysburg and we really liked it this way. There is a Dollar General very close to get snacks and such. There is also dining a short drive away. We had some wonderful conversations with other guests and it is so nice to actually speak with real humans face to face.

We just got home From a wonderful stay at The Cashtown Inn. This was our fourth trip and by far the best! The new owners Danielle and Jeremy could not be better hosts! We got a tour of the whole inn which we never got before. The hidden apartment behind a door disguised as a book shelf was absolutely awesome and totally cool! They were both so friendly and welcoming. Jeremy stayed up late talking and sharing history and stories. I’m sure he must have been tired but he went above and beyond for our family. Danielle is awesome and shared so much with us. They are having an open house on the 23rd and we will be there. Can’t wait! If you want a five star…no ten star experience, this is the place to be. They are angels for taking this project in hand with so much love and care. Cashtown Inn will be back better than before. ❤️

My daughter and I went here to celebrate my birthday and it was fantastic. The new owners Danielle and Jeremy were wonderful. Jeremy gave us a tour of the house at 10:00pm and shared so much of the history. They even had a birthday cake for me. I would definitely recommend staying there! We will be back for sure.
Thank you so much Holly, we enjoyed meeting you both and were so happy to be able to celebrate with you! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to host you even though we are brand spankin' new at this! Look forward to seeing you again!

My friend and I spent this past weekend at the Cashtown Inn for our semi-annual get together, It is a charming historical place with beautiful rooms. The new owners Danielle and Jeremy are absolutely wonderful, so friendly and welcoming we felt at home during our stay. The work they are doing to the Inn is incredible, it is exciting to see their future vision. The tour of the Inn and learning the history of it along with surrounding Cashtown was an unexpected surprise that we thoroughly enjoyed. We look forward to returning and seeing Danielle & Jeremy again!

While there wasn't a chance to stay at the Inn this trip, meeting the owner was definitely amazing! A brief tour of the remodeled parlor and the work being done in the tavern was a highlight of this trip! There is so much passion and dedication from the owners that will guarantee that this historic landmark will continue on!!!
Thank you so much! We look forward to having you stay with us in the future!

It was a pleasure to meet Danielle and Jeremy who are welcoming and hardworking innkeepers that took care of everything to make my stay relaxing and interesting. During my stay, there was a good conversation around the Civil War history of the Inn and the Battle of Gettysburg. The guests enjoyed meeting each other and being together. The breakfast was well prepared and delicious. I’m happy to have spent 5 nights there.

We love the beauty and history of the area and the Inn. The breakfast was plentiful and tasted good. The room was well air conditioned and had a fridge/freezer combo. The evening tour is the basement with the owner was the best part. Parking was easy and safe. Each room has its own bathroom.

The Cashtown Imn is a great historical inn with friendly informative owners who show lots of love to the place and their guests. Service, I gave it 4 stars simply because their are no vending machines or on premises restaurant/bar for meals other than breakfast. Location is beautiful but you definitely need a car to find anything close enough to eat or shop. They do have a nice gift shop but it's only open set hours. I still plan to go there again because I do have a car, I love the history of the inn and if you are into the paranormal you may be as lucky as me to experience some activity that I found fascinating but far from scary. It felt like we were sharing the place with ghosts that meant us no harm and were just visiting a place they loved.

The Cashtown Inn is a historic landmark. As of August it is under new management. We were given a warm welcome and a lesson in history by our host, Jeremy, and his wife. The interior has been kept as much as possible to the original condition. The beautiful inn is available for lodging, and events. There are beautiful gifts for purchase in the lobby. We didn't stay as overnight guests, but we plan to return to do so.

I don't know how to rate this place, just thought that I'd mention it's a B&B starting to set up a general store and food court. No sandwiches yet, but they do have cold sodas and rock candy. The manager tells me they'll be adding more as they can get it.
Thanks for the 4 stars, I would like to know why you wouldn’t give us a 5 star review? We’ve owned the Inn less than a year and have been working to bring it back for people to enjoy. It’s come a long way in the short time we’ve owned it and we are striving hard to bring it back. Thanks!

We stayed one night on August 16, 2021 The inn has new owners. Daniella and Jeremy were charming hosts. They just took over and are doing some renovations. They gave us a great overview of the history for both the inn and the area. They also shared some of their paranorrmal experiences and we had some of our own. Room 7 has some activity. We had a great time and next year we will visit for a few days.
Thank you so much Tim, we look forward to having you and Louise stay with us again!

Nice historical Inn recently taken over by new owners. Salt of the Earth people gave us a 1 on 1 tour of the Inn with background and education on how it tied into the Civil War.
