Great place to get a car, the car I have is okay. They will sign you up for any car on their lot and then misguide you on the payment schedule. I was tricked into paying twice a month instead of once a month. I was “nicely” reminded by their finance department, they called me and said you’re one payment past due, how would you like to take care of that today? I said, I’m sorry I thought I was on a once a month payment schedule. They rudely interrupted and said, sir if you were able to afford this car then you would be able to pay for it. There’s was no customer service hospitality at all. I’m never going to buy a car from this place ever again. I don’t write reviews on places but this one was in need of someone saying make sure you understand what they are selling you. I should’ve known and that’s on me but. Just be warned.

Stephanie was amazing and very helpful. I started my day very stressed about my vehicle situation. Now I feel all the stress lifted off and I’m in a reliable vehicle. If you have bad credit and need a car, yes this place is where you can get a car like I did. I wasn’t to happy with my car choice because they didn’t have a lot to choose from but I needed one. BUT the reason why I am giving this a ONE star is because of all the LIES and horrible service from the financial department. I was told by the sales man Parker that they understand life happens and if I need to change my payments or miss a payment that they will happily work with me and everything but nope! The Financial department and even the manager Stephanie is horrible people, they will call you and leave threatening texts, they will lie and say they left you many messages and phone calls but haven’t. When trying to talk with the finance department they will talk back to you, they will lie, and interrupt you. They won’t let you speak. I’m so shocked that these people are still employed. I feel like all these 5 star reviews are either people that work there or haven’t delt with the financial team yet. The only good thing about this place is the sales team like Parker, Parker who was amazing and easy to deal with and the fact you can get a car with bad credit but that’s it.

Stephanie helped me and was honestly the greatest slaes person I've ever dealt with. She was taking care of me and like 5 other people while I was there. They're awesome. Stephanie helped me through all the dumb little problems the lenders find. She was so patient as I was so indecisive about everything. At first, I wasn't very happy with my options. I through down a little bit more of a down payment & got me the perfect whip for my family😁

Finance Department is terrible. Paid my first payment through their website, and somehow they said I missed my payment, when I have the proof that I paid. But still had the audacity to say “How will you be taking care of that today?” Also have the nerve to call my job to see if I still exist! Don’t recommend this place at all. Vehicle I purchased as well, had piles of problems that weren’t listed on the car’s history. Will have to deal with these guys for another year until I sell their vehicle.

I heard about CarHop after my brother got a car through them. I was in a 94 Trooper that was just too old for me to fix up. I bought it local for $400, drove it for a year, maybe put about $700 into it(regular maintenance incl) It was a fun one but I wanted something better. Parker and Stephanie were upfront and honest with me from the very first. The car I chose is still going strong after a month now, no problems at all. The only place I've found that truly did everything and more to keep me on the road. I can say 💯% that I would be riding the bus to work if it wasn't for them... and the bus doesn't even go to where I work, so you can see that they definitely saved my 🐴. Thank god for Carhop!! I was about to be without a car but Parker is definitely the bomb.com. He was open and honest throughout the entire process. After getting turned down from 4 other dealerships, Parker was able to work his magic and get me into a car. I could not recommend a better place for someone with credit and down payment issues. After spending about 3 to 4 hours on paperwork and two of them hours sitting there waiting on somebody to help us they said for me to come back in 90 days and then maybe they can help us so it was complete waste of my day they were not able to finance us not even for the cheapest car that they had due to the fact that I just moved here I just started a new job. Would not recommend this Car Lot!

Charles helped me get my very first car. I was nervous being 22 and a girl that id get ripped off but Charles was so clear and upfront about everything with me, i wasnt concerned at all. Worst place ever 5 years later I get a lawsuit after I surrendered a vehicle that was supposed to be written off they don’t explain anything to you they make more money selling the car you give back and make you pay them 5x the amount do not go here fake people horrible cars they break down the mech. They work with are horrible they are all liars

These guys are nothing but scam artist that pretend to “help you” all they have done is sell cars that have issues but according to the manager will “you don’t have good credit so why do you deserve a good car?” Not only did I experience rudeness when I brought up an issue with a car, I witnessed how he treated a customer when the customer came in and complained how his car wasn’t working..... save your self a headache and do not buy a car from these Lemon sellers.

I have been trying to find a car for months but with my credit everyone wanted a ridiculous down payment. Went just to look around at car hop and Daniela helped me and she did such an amazing job and got me into a car the same day!!! I highly recommend car hop if you need a vehicle!!!

*UPDATE* DO NOT SHOP HERE! As of the first of Nov, still no vehicle. Car was purchased 8/21/2021, has died less than 10 miles from the mechanics every time (5x) we picked it up after being told it was running again. Has been to 2 different auto shops. +Reached the point that noone will answer calls, or return messages. From both Carhop, and the mechanic. They will not let him return the car unless under a voluntary repo. So he is paying the monthly car payment, as well as the cost of UBER/bus fare, to get to and from work. Just get transferred to different people with no offer of resolution, or timeline. READ REVIEWS AND COMPLAINTS ONLINE! Yes, used cars can come AS IS, but to die EVERY SINGLE TIME after leaving an auto shop, within 10 miles, is not ok. Has only been drivable 5 days, after immediately going in to a mechanic for a fuel pump. Mechanic assured us that after that was replaced, the car would be good. Which is why we didn't change our mind in the 7 day return policy.¹ My son purchased a vehicle August 21st. In the 6 weeks he has had it, it has been in a shop for 5 of those weeks. Timeline: Less than 24 hours after driving it off the lot, the fuel pump went out. Was in the shop 2 weeks. Drove it 5 days, then it died again. Multiple codes. Spent a week in the shop going back and forth between the mechanics and warranty department on covering the cost before Carhop agreed to cover it. Spent another 2 weeks in the shop, then died 30 minutes into driving it home. Is now being towed to mechanics again. In total, of the 42 days he has "had" the car, it has been in the mechanics 37 days. Not counting the countless hours of having to mediate between the warranty and mechanics. And the money spent on Uber to get to and from work.

We started with car hop almost 1.5 yrs ago, with credit scores in the 400's. Carhop was able to get us into a 2003 Ford Taurus. We had multiple issues, then the car just died one year later. We went back to Carhop, and were met by Wilfredo and Christian, whom apologized about the issues that we have had. Wilfredo and Christian allowed us to use our car as a trade in, and Wilfredo was able to get us approved for every single car on the lot!! Before we left, they also put some gas in our new vehicle, because we had to take the front runner and then an Uber to get to Carhop. That's how much they cared about us! We went home in a 2015 Ford Escape. A few days later, the vehicle would not start a couple times, so I took it back to Carhop. Christian immediately found the problem. When was the last time you took your car in, and the branch manager of sales got his hands dirty to find the problem?! The battery terminals were not connecting well, and needed cleaning. Christian not only cleaned the terminals, but he put a brand new battery in just to make sure. We've never been happier with a car or sales people. Christian and wilfredo are the best!! We love those guys!!

Excellent service, quick easy and we drove out of the dealership with the vehicle we wanted. Our interest rate has never been lower and our payments were the same as our old car. Our insurance rates dropped as well. I wouldnt go anywhere else to buy a car if your credit needs some work because Carhop will help you fix it, get into a vehicle at a reasonable rate and payment you can afford. There incentives and options are incredible and the people amazing!

Tracy Jo was amazing! She stayed late for us and made sure we got into a vehicle that is reliable and worked with our financial needs. She worked with our poor (and I mean poor) credit and was seriously the best! We didn’t have the means for a down payment and they were able to work with us. We’re so impressed and will use them again!

Bad credit or no credit, took at whole day (yesterday & today on waiting for my approval) of wasting my time to just tell to tell me no 😐 not only that, Charles may pose as “mr. nice guy” but once he tells you once & repeats himself, he’ll repeat it in a rude way, HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Waste of my time!

When I come to CarHop on Saturday (3/16/19), Tracy Jo was a wonderful person to do business with and willing to help anyone that come through the door. She is a patient woman and a great manager. She was willing to stay after 5pm to help her customers getting a vehicle. When I come back in on Tuesday (3/19/19), Tracy Jo and Eerika was happy to work with you and get me in a vehicle that was right for me and fit in my budget. I'm glad that I can to CarHop to get another vehicle because they was willing to take a chance with my bad credit and help me get on my feet. CarHop is a wonderful car dealership to get involved with because they will do whatever it takes to get you what you need.

They advertise that they say yes to bad credit. I'm only 14,000 in debt. So not a extreme amount of bad credit. They still turned me down. I even make pretty decent money.

We went to carhop Murray in Utah and Wilfredo took care of us amazingly. The moment we stepped in the door, the service we received was an excellent service. Wilfredo was so friendly, professional and process was no hassle.

I bought a Nissan Rouge and the transmission went out. Carhop replaced the transmission with their warranty program and the new transmission was bad. I've never had a car salesman work so hard to get the best of the best at the lowest price possible. They were very patient, helpful, kind and willing to work with my special needs. They also have this great little room for kids to play while parents are applying for a car. The employee that helped me was so great with my kid and she was working her butt off for everyone there. Best experience ever with a car sales person.

I just got a 2007 Nissan Murano on Saturday. Sunday morning & throughout the day when I started the vehicle a ton of white smoke kept coming from the exhaust. Took it back to car hop first thing yesterday morning for them to run a diagnostic on it. Found a list of problems like a leak running into the transmission. They did say it would all be covered under their warranty & to take it into one of their shops. This morning I was supposed to go take it & now the car won’t start at all. UPDATE!! DO NOT TAKE IT TO THEIR “APPROVED” auto shops. My hose was cut on purpose by them so I can continue to waste my money with Car Hop. I took my Nissan to a REAL mechanic & they were shocked at all the damages & how clear cut the hose was. It’s all a scam. ALL of the employees are unprofessional. Stephanie is HORRIBLE to work with. I have spent more than what the car is worth just on repairs. Please do yourself & your family a real favor, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE

We saw on carhop that they was able to approve you with no credit check or little deposit. This was all lies. They check your credit and income. They cars they do have on the lot isn’t the best, But could help some gain credit to be able to purchase a better vehicle. But it’s not worth it going here. Supposed to be under new Managment hahaha. There don’t doing anything better if you ask me. But we was approved else we’re with newer vehicles. People don’t waste your time or credit at this place. Looks like they used the same reply for every customer instead of addressing the issue.

I was almost at the very bottom of my well, so to speak. I was about to lose my job from lacking transportation. Juan at CarHop of Murray had me approved and in a car same day! He was amazing and so helpful! Definitely recommend 10 out of 10!

Shocking how nice these people were. Trust me if you are having a difficult time getting approved for an awesome used vehicle at a fair price this is easily the best place in Utah. It was very surprising how much they tried to get us driving today. I'm used to 2021 where it's all business and no one really treats you like a person more so a number. To put it all briefly it was a great experience and I would highly highly recommend this place

I was unable to obtain financing because of a shady past at basically any other location Charles Marsh was our sales associate and Stephanie started the process. We got into a nice vehicle after a lengthy approval process, we were given a second chance loan and are taking advantage of our opportunity. Charles stayed over an hour late to finish our deal and we are appreciative. They did do the part of a sales person in finding any downpayment possible, but wasn't invasive and we rate 5 stars honestly.

The first car I got from CarHop was in Ogden. I walked up and drove away. That quick. Too bad they are closed. The one in Murray however, I had to return 3 different times for 3 different reasons. I got a vehicle, but the quote on my trade-in was $200 less on the final, they had to fix a part before I could take it, and the third time was because their own auto-theft device wasn't working. If I wanted to be petty I could add so much more. The staff were friendly, but the cars themselves are mostly high priced junk. I got the best one on the lot and it still had to be fixed twice before I could take it. Go here if your options are limited and you are desperate. Otherwise, get a car anywhere else. I like what I got, but having to provide a new proof of employment every week I went there was a joke.

Was told to come on down!! I Thoroughly explained my situation and ask to make sure thing where ok before I took an Uber to the dealership. After arriving and jumping through the hoops I got told I couldn’t be approved!! I understand it’s my credit at fault and take responsibility for that what I don’t take responsibility for is the miss leading and total waste of my time!!

I’ve been searching for a vehicle online for days from personal sellers due to my bad credit and also have a repo. Dealers in the valley would not even give me the time of day. Nobody in Utah County or SLC county was willing to help me or give me a chance and denied me. My girlfriend was helping look and came across Carhop’s website. I checked it out and it was user friendly and quick and easy to apply for a loan. Within 5 minutes I received a call and said I was approved and I made an appointment with the Murray Carhop. I came in and the customer service was out of this world. Tracy Jo helped me and I was blown away when she said I was approved. She even stayed 3 hours late to get me into a truck again. I have a $1000 down and the payments were great. Not only did she get me a truck and great payments but on this two year plan I’m paying less on interest and my credit will jump 150 to 200 points when it’s paid off. This was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. Thank you Tracy Jo and Carhop.

My experience at carhop was amazing . Trace Jo was amazing and great to work with, she made the process easy and comfortable. We had been to several dealerships before coming to carhop and wow what a different experience we had , they never made you bad because of your credit, highly recommend them .

I don't usually leave negative reviews for places because I know that in most situations the actions of just one or two people don't properly reflect the values and integrity of a company, but after taking the weekend to simmer down I've decided that I cannot justify not sharing my experience. I went in on Saturday morning to look at what options I might have due to my poor credit. The initial salesman helping me (I don't recall his name but he had just transferred from the Colorado branch) was very kind at first, though very pushy (as was to be expected). The application process took about 90 minutes, and in that time he made several phone calls to different individuals to rant about a customer that he was planning on suing. He told me that he was planning on suing this customer because they had recorded their conversation without consent, and he then made sure to let me know that he could sue me as well if I were to record any conversation between the two of us. To say this was unprofessional is an understatement. He bad-mouthed several other previous customers and took no issue with venting to me about various things. Eventually I test-drove a car and told the gentlemen I liked it but wasn't ready to pull the trigger on it, he went to a back room and brought out another salesperson (I don't remember her name either but she was a gal from the California branch) who sat down and said "I understand you have questions about the car you're looking to buy?" I told her that I did not have any questions and that I just wasn't ready to buy anything. She gave me a somewhat aggressive speech about how my credit was so bad at 610 that there were not going to be any other options for me and that no place else was going to offer me anything without a down payment of a few thousand dollars. I'm not proud to admit that I believed her and decided that I was going to buy the car. The car I was shown was a 2007 (I was told it was 2012) Ford Edge with 170k miles and I was told that it would be sold to me at a standard price of about $10,400. I was minutes away from finalizing my purchase when I noticed on the paperwork that it said the year of the car was 2007, and not 2012 like I was told. At the time I assumed that this was an honest mistake and told the gal that the initial salesman told me that the car's year was 2012 and that I didn't think he had told me the wrong year on purpose, but that if it was a 2007 then I wasn't interested in purchasing the car. Now, full disclaimer, I sympathize with anyone in a commission-based field. I understand times are tough (especially with Covid) and I wasn't bothered by the two of them being pushy, even when I felt it was excessive. What I wasn't expecting was for this lady to get visibly angry with me. She told me that I was wrong to let a few years difference hold me back from buying a wonderful car (one that I wasn't even technically qualified to buy, she pointed out, as she said that she was doing me a favor by selling it to me) and that I had wasted their time. I smiled and agreed and waited for confirmation that the sale was terminated. Once I was told that it was, I told the gal to have a good day and she said "I have absolutely nothing to say to you". That remark really, really sat with me because it lacked even the most base sense of professionalism. She was frustrated and rude up until that point, but that final remark was petty, unseemly, and incredibly disrespectful. I have been to many car dealerships, but I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect as I was at this Car Hop in Murray, Utah when I didn't buy a car. Once I got home, I Kelley Blue Book'd the 2007 Ford Edge and found that this car in premium used condition had a Fair Purchase Price of $5,049, which was more than 50% less than what they had tried selling it to me for. Shame on me for not checking it at the time, but I'm extremely grateful that I eventually opted out of the sale. I'm sorry that this review was so long but I sincerely hope that it helps someone else to think twice before going to this location.

just purchased a car today from carhop and i couldn’t be blessed enough by how i was treated and how understanding wilfredo is ! this is actually a place you would want to go to if car shopping is stressful for you it’s easy and fast and they are really patient ! wilfredo was nothing but honest , kind , and understanding definitely recommend going in and speaking with him .

Great people to work with. My wife and I have been there twice for vehicles and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. If you have credit challenges these guys are the ones to use. Big shout out to Joe this time around he is awesome. Tracy and Victor rock too!

I cannot say enough good things about Shawn. He has been so incredible, and so customer service oriented, I am just in complete awe. From the moment I walked into carhop, he treated me so well. He was very considerate of all of my needs. Very concerned about my ability to own a car. I have never in my entire life dealt with a dealer who is more honest and caring than Shawn. I had a minor problem with my vehicle and he was such a superstar, he bent over backwards to help me. I would highly recommend him and carhop to anyone.
