    Tried many places and never had luck getting a vehicle. Came up and got great customer service and even left in my (new to me) 2004 dodge stratus. I love it :) thanks guys *edit* after some time with the car (which still runs well...mostly), I found an issue with the vehicle that is clearly something missed during the inspection. Upon speaking to a couple different people, I'm told (more or less) that it's my responsibility to fix since its not a warranty part. I dont understand why I am responsible for fixing something that was clearly damage done from before I purchased the vehicle. When trying to explain to the warranty department the issue I am having, I just keep being told to get an alignment done and that'll fix it. I've tried sending pictures of the damage but they refuse to accept my offer to do so. I love the car other than this very frustrating, and pricey fix. I mean, I'm paying 9k for a car worth 3k. Least they could do is look at some pictures and stop telling me to "just go get it realigned".

    I came here a little cranky and worried about a car because mine just blew up and i needed a ride to work.     Car hop was my last option for finding a car due to my husband expierence with them, But once i got there Marcus greeted us out in the lot an took care of us right away he fought for me to get a good car due to having a newborn and made sure to get us the best deal the car is great.     today, has been a blessing and i owe it all to Mrs.Dotty, and Rachel! they helped me from the moment i walked in the doors. i didn’t believe i would leave with a car, but they made sure i drove off today with a nice car. thank you both so much:) 1 month later and it’s the biggest regret of my life, i hate Carhop and everything about them. they represent false advertisement. i have been having issues that “Rachel” doesn’t seem to care about nor will she help you. horrible horrible horrible lord help me:(

    I would give zero stars if possible. Rachel the manager and Dotty who was made to deal with everything. Racheal didn’t offer and ounce of help. Rachael treated you based off your race. Her attitude is if “you’re white , you’re right” right before they had cops there because a black woman demanding a refund for a clearly sold lemon. They where extremely rude to her and me. She makes it seem like black woman and men have no competence. So they had a car for me, so they said. Catch is I had to drive all the way from Monroeville to Carnegie to pick it up and drive back to Monroeville. The first car they gave me to drive to get my supposed car, was a true lemon Rachael took it next door for gas and it broke down. So I made it Carnegie and back what I thought was my car. So I left my belongings in the car (never got them back and they refuse to give them back, it was for my work I do) so I get to Monroeville. So I came into the office to sign papers for my car. Well I was told “ You can’t get the car, my bad, thanks for coming.” But she wasn’t nice about it at all. She gave me an attitude. I was left stranded in Monroeville and had to find a ride home because they lead me to believe this car was mines. Racheal said not my problem, it’s your fault, busy. They left me in the room for 15 min before they told me the appointment was finished. By the way I am a returning customer who’s first car was paid in full. So there was no reason for the attitude.

    So today my car caught on fire, Electric issues putting the fire in the dashboard. I tried to get a vehicle at Monroeville dodge and I needed 1000 down and better credit that I just don't have but I did a pre-approval for car hop and got my car today!! A downpayment of $200 and low payments I can afford a month! Thank ya'll so much! Update : so I tried to be as accurate with these postings as possible since I took used to be a local guide and I always update my reviews if I find out something new. So it has been currently two weeks since I got my used vehicle from CarHop the transmission has already gone I had felt something was wrong with the transmission I'm and brought it to the person who is selling it to Mease attention but he had told me that it was only the brakes and the fluid transferring through since that's not for a long time but it was a transmission also my CD it gotten stuck in the CD player which he had it told me worked and everything since I told him I can't drive without music which is an also another big concern of me because the CDs I got snack it's really expensive now as it was an older CD I also had a lot of trouble with their customer service being really spoken to and trying to get in touch with corporate was a consistent circle of nonsense and redirection until after I had sent a message through their complaint system and his speaking to lawyers to see what was in my situation where I could do I would not recommend CarHop to anybody I cared about unless they were an absolute desperate situation because it might be little money down but the vehicles you get are going to have problems probably as soon as you get them and they're not completely upfront about the issues being that they should have been driving them they would have no and they don't offer any type of help or assistance to new people unless it's been 6 months even if the vehicle they gave you has problems and you have to still keep paying for it.

    I had really bad credit they lead me to believe that everyone drives not true drove 60miles to be told we can't help you only on certain cars Marcus was ok but Rachel was so incredibly rude buyer BEWARE!!!!!!! I have an older impala that looked as good as most cars on the lot except the one I wanted WHAT AJOKe take the bus!!! They may have some good reviews but the bad are really Horrible False advertising we help you drive they pick your car NoT You no then on top of. It all they said you have to make so much baby money my?? Is why can't they tell you all this stuff before they lure you in there .Buyer please BEWARE Horrific experience they told me I needed 2000 down if I had 2000 I could go anywhere so after 28 dollars in Gas 60 miles away and 20 dollars in tolls that was my honest to goodness experience!!!

    Very expensive and they take advantage of you BIG TIME!!!! Make sure this place is your last option!!! I won't advise going to carhop first!!!!!! A car of $5k is like $11K With carhop and they always threaten to shutdown your car And act like they own your life if you are late with just a payment (weekly basis ) payment not monthly.. Bad business, I can never refer anybody to this place and I'm posting this on my website too to help people understand what you really do!! Cus they won't tell u all this when u are about to sign the contract!!! What a shame. They don't appreciate there customers!!!!

    I purchased a vehicle December 13, 2019. It’s a 2007 Jeep commander. I had just gave birth and me and my partner really needed a vehicle. When we seen the Jeep we wanted it and put $1500 down. Being that we rushed we missed really looking at the Jeep. There’s a crack in windshield, two broken seat belts, it wasn’t clean, a rag was left under the hood. There was a leak from somewhere and it flooded the floor on passenger side. A week later the Jeep started cutting off, leaking fluid, door wasn’t opening on passenger side in the back, and my fuel kept going fast. I paid out of pocket 138 at Jeep dealership for a Diagnostic test because their personal mechanic shops were able to perform that her self and tell me what was wrong they asked me to tell them what was wrong and then they would check it so that was a red flag right there then after paying for the diagnostic test the water pump was bad we got it fixed and then two weeks later is leaking again it’s overheating and no longer starting there is a recall on a mission switch in which we are still waiting on the part but it doesn’t explain the other problem is I don’t recommend carhop their warrantee is garbage there unprofessional and they’re very rude and they don’t help they don’t even try to give you a loaner car rental for the inconvenience and I Was stranded with my children and which one is a newborn stay away and save your money

    On my way there now...so it's September 22 2021. Carhop in my area has been closed for some time. You get what you pay for but even if your paying a decent amount there's a high chance your car will still be a dud but if you put like 1500 into your car you should be good...maybe

    Excellent service, straight forward to the point and there is absolutely NO nonsense, Carhop stands true to everything said. I have not established credit yet and I just pulled away with my first vehicle, very exciting and they keep you calm and make sure everything is clear and understood. Very descriptive and employees are lenient on everything and make sure there is nothing for you to worry about, my only issue here was the down payment. Make SURE you come in with a down payment of what you and the lot agreed on, otherwise you will have to accumulate MORE to meet the balance charged to you before you can take your car (home) they said they except low down payments but I’m here to tell you that isn’t truly accurate, the down payment is based off the vehicle they put you in!

    The best team! I take care of my father, and not having a vehicle was making it more difficult by the day. Needing help with financing, I already felt I was at a disadvantage of success. Dotty and Rachael assured me they'd make it happen for me. Even though I kept them late working out the details, they were amazing, helpful and funny as hell. I drove myself home. Thanks girls! Edit: 2 months later: too good to be true. I now have a car with so many problems, I can't afford to fix. And conveniently, none are covered. So, unless you're mechanic that can spot a lemon, don't go.

I had originally came here and spoke with Billy, he helped immensely and was a great conversationalist and very funny. unfortunately I wasn't approved for a car at first but I came back and Andrew helped me take home a car within two hours.     Had the car for not even 2 full days before it broke down. Was in the shop for 6 days. When I picked the car up no one would tell me exactly what was wrong with the car and what they fixed. On my drive home the car still wasn't running right. As soon as I got home, I called to inform them of this and that I wanted to return the car because I didn't feel safe in it and wasn't comfortable having my children in it. I was told they couldn't do anything until the next day. I returned their call the next day and was told again that nothing could be done until next day because the manager wasn't in. Next day, no call so I took the car there and was told I was past my 7 day window of being able to return it. I had the car in my possession a total of 3 days. It was in the shop more than I had it. I tried returning it 2 days prior to driving there with no success. Now I'm facing a repo on my credit report because they put me in a death trap. This company preys on the weak and unfortunate. DO NOT get a car from here! You're better off saving up your money for a few months and going to reputable dealer with a down payment. A lot of people think if you have bad credit you can't go to a dealer but yes you can!

    Great experience Dotty and Rachel really helped me out with getting me into a car. They worked very hard for nearly 4 hours to work out a deal for me to get into a great Kia. To think I Came in not even knowing what kind of car I wanted I knew I just wanted a car. Now I’m riding off in my little ole Kia lol. Thanks both Dotty and Rachel for your hard work.     Do not buy a car here, firstly the car they sold me couldn't pass inspection when they sold it to me. When I told the sales person I wanted the gap insurance she told me "all our vehicles come with gap automatically." Then when I got tboned and the car was totalled I tried to file a gap claim and the person at the dealership told me they dont offer any gap insurance. So now I have no car no way to get to work and I still have a weekly payment to make. Horrible sales staff that will say whatever they have to to get a sale.

    November we go there and told we need proof of more income for 90 days so we do it. Come back 90 days later and told ok proof of income is good.but now she needs her license so we go get her liscense (our initial plan was for me to drive and intitially it was not an issue). Come back in 30 days and told it must be 120 days and the license didn't matter. We get denied again but this time cannot tell us why. Told us if they get a chance to look into it they will call us and let us know. Over 4 months we met with three people which all told us something different. Noone knows what's going on and cannot get Concrete answers . I think these people work on hourly pay not commission. They put no effort into helping or looking into anything. I will not go back. Ever. Never. I recommend you do not either. Also there cars are in not the best shape and are priced about 30-40 % over kbb value if they were in excellent condition. If you go there you most likely will be wasting your time and if you manage to drive away you most definitely have been burnt. I wish noone to go through this . Pretty sure this business rep will destroy it soon. Sad but true. I wish Andrew was there because I did what he said but by the time I did he not longer worked there

    I came here some years ago looking for a car. Was told on the phone I could be driving that week with a minimum down payment. Went and filled out the paper work. Was told they needed proof I lived at my house (utility bills weren’t enough). I also needed to have 15-20 references and I needed at least a minimum of $2500 down payment. I was over it because that was opposite of what the phone calls I had prior had gone. Anyway a few days later I got a call about if I had my references. I said no and the woman urged me to get it done. Im like yeah ok. Like a week or two later another woman called me and told me that everything checked out and I should come in and pick a car. I asked her what she meant. She said they got my references and my down payment and to hurry in to choose a car. I told her I never gave her any of that. She insisted I did and even went so far to tell me a date I brought it in and how I had a “co-signer” there with me. I’m like yeah ok crazy lady. Weeks after that another call saying I needed to provide my info again came in and how I need to hurry up because they weren’t going to hold my info anymore. I told them to forget my number. Very unsettling to have someone constantly call or have to go through hoops for a car. They would not even let me see any of the cars available or nothing. The man I spoke to while there was nice until I needed all my outrageous paperwork and such. Wasn’t mean or anything just mood shift.

    My car was stolen over the weekend w police it got it back. Theyw take back or let me upgrade. The guy hadN compassion at all. Save urself the trip..don't deal with them. I regret dealing with them at all.

    didn’t get approved because i don’t have a co-signer, which is fine! the woman we dealt with was rude & told me i seemed standoffish? oh?? sorry my regular personality is so crappy. who says that to people? only giving two star because the man we also spent time with was nice to my daughter

    Do not go here and purchase one of their unreliable vehicles. You will lose your job as a result of this mechanics taking three weeks to fix an engine problem. You will break down in the middle of rush hour traffic driving to or from work because the service engine soon light was on when I drove it off the lot. High milage.144,000 miles. Lost my job and 17 days late on a payment they disabled my starter after I told them the list of problems they put me and my family through. But paid for the 80 dollars a week while it was at the shop. Thanks frauds!
