Capital One Bank Barataria Blvd, Marrero

My grandmother almost got car jacked or robbed today around 1230. Some guy was waiting outside his car (while blocking her way) for her to dive her car up close to the only lane to leave the bank. He walked around close to the back of the bank. Luckily my grandmother didn't drive any closer and waited for the guy to get back in his car and drive off to leave her alone.The people who worked at the bank took too long to help my grandmother, which gave this strange man enough time to block her in the lane to leave the bank. I don't know if this attempted robbery was an inside job from one of the bank tellers or what, but the company might want to actually have security there/be more meticulous in who they hire. Please be careful to anyone who goes to this particular bank.

Only one location I like to go to because all the other was a disrespectful and not useful

Do not bank with capital one. When you have a problem with there online banking app the phone technicians transfer you from one person to the next. then state that they can’t help you with this problem

Got charged to cash a check from a company that uses that bank.

The lobby was quiet, clean, and orderly. The tellers were friendly, quick, and knew their job. I like Capitol One Bank, that's the reason I've been with them for 17 years.

**UPDATE** 2/7/2020 After having Capital One as my bank for YEARS, I will now be switching to a new bank. I just got notice in the mail that the checking account will no longer be free. I've had this "free" account for YEARS. Now all of a sudden there are certain stipulations to have that fee waived. No point of keeping an account there now. FYI- Anyone looking for a FREE checking account can go ahead and use Metairie Bank. They still offer free checking without the B.S. Capital One is pulling! ---------------------- CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! Had a charge that I disputed. Had to go back and forth with the dispute. Finally submitted emails from the MERCHANT himself approving the refund and Capital One STILL said I did not provide enough and charged my account AGAIN! If a merchant agreeing to the refund was not good enough then I do not know what is and clearly they do not value their customers. Looking to take my business elsewhere since they have no problem allowing fraudulent charges on my account! Oh yea, and the multiple representatives that claim everything would be fine only to surprise you months later with the rebill. A shady bank to do business with.
