    I want to write this review for Edgar I believe his ID was EV8 or EVA and Jenny (couldn't really understand to get her ID) working at Capital One Auto Finance. First I want to say that I had a very bad experience... simply trying to get a copy of a lien release for a vehicle that was paid off in 2015. I was told so many things from 12/13/21 until today 12/27/21. I didn't appreciate being lied to for no reason, and false promises made... but to get to the point... I want to thank Edgar and Jenny for making my situation matter to them and finally getting me what I need so I could complete the sale of the vehicle. I truly wanted to give Edgar a gift card for his honesty and resolving this issue. In my humble opinion they deserve some type of reward for simply doing the right thing. In a day where customer service is very poor... It is refreshing to see that there are still some reps out there who can sympathize with the customer and put forth an honest effort to assist with the need of the customer! Bravo!! for Edgar and Jenny! I wanted to mark five stars but only for these two reps.. but because this is for the company... this is why I gave the rating I did.

    Capital One Auto could not take care of title work to renew my auto registration. Purchased auto in one state but live in another. You would think this company could handle the transaction process but failed miserably. Documents they needed and were “waiting for” my wife and I contacted and had emails sent and documents fed ex to capital one auto, they still could not take care of tittle management and customer service needed. I was pulled over by law enforcement for expired tags, luckily he understood and issued warning, called capital one auto, still no resolution. My take away from this business mess, Capital One Auto unable to do common auto financing business or conduct customer service. I would run to any other auto financing company if I even remotely knew this was the Capital One Auto way of conducting business. My advice: do not go to, call or even speak to Capital One Auto, explain to your auto sales/dealer you have to have another auto finance company!

    Worst auto financing company to go through, customer service is terrible and they do not work with their clients when times are tough due to the pandemic. They dgaf about their loyal customers. I have learned my lesson and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone I know.

    If I needed surgery to save my life and paying for it required a loan from Capital One, I would rather die. I transferred my car registration in March 2020. My state DMV requested information from Capital One. They did not send any information. I moved to stay with my parents in July 2020. I paid off my car loan in August 2020. Capital One sent my title to the wrong address, and then shredded it when it returned to them. (They have my phone number AND email). I asked my roommate if she'd seen a title in Feb 2021. She said no, so I called Capital One to ask what happened to it, and they said they could resend. I corrected their address information. They didn't bother to call me back when that turned out to not be true. When I called them again they said they could send a lien release. I again corrected their address information. My state DMV would not accept the lien release because Capital One never sent lien information. The DMV advised me to threaten to sue Capital One if they did not give me a title. When I threatened to sue, Capital One said they could send me a title. I again corrected their address information. Capital One called me back two weeks later to tell me they in fact could not send title information. I threatened to sue again. They then said they could send the title. However, they sent the information to the DMV, WITH THE SAME WRONG ADDRESS. I corrected the address at the DMV, and the DMV sent it to the right address. In the meantime, I have not been able to legally drive my car since March 2021. I asked the company for help, because I paid them $17,000 over 7 years (on time *every* payment) for a car I can't drive. They said no because I didn't inquire while I was at my parent's house due to the pandemic. They also never sent information to my state (according to them it was 'due to the pandemic'), otherwise that the lien release paperwork would have been enough. They mailed the title to the wrong address on three separate occasions, despite my correcting the address on multiple occasions.

    Horrible service, take to long to process paperwork, They dont cate if you sent it more than 2 weeks ago. They dont even bother trying. Dont ever finance with capital one.

    they literally NEVER pick up the phone i can't get through to capital one AT ALL like i havent spoken to a SINGLE cap1 rep not even a robot

    These ppl are the worst, none of their employees have proper training. I have talked to over 6 ppl in the last week and they all are pretty much brain dead. They know nothing or they missed that part of training. Get someone else to finance your loan.

    Predatory lending at its best! I have an over 700 credit score when I was invited to apply for auto refinancing through this company. I applied and after they learned I was a rideshare driver, they denied my application after a hard inquiry into my credit after they said there would be no impact. Low morals and low standards for a company to judge someone simply because of what they do. My credit and everything else was in place. I will never open a capital one message again

    DO NOT take their car loan offer. You will regret it! They are never considerate. During the pandemic they told me they can help me by pushing my payments back which l agreed but they ended up reporting missed payment. Messi g my credit up! I am never doing anything capital one ones l finish paying this car. Customer service is full of series of lies! Not sure why I can’t give them a zero star . They are so horrible!!!! Don’t deal with them. Run away when you see anything Capital one.

    I was wanting to finance a vehicle through Capital One but was denied due to my credit report was missing information or unavailable. The last time I financed a vehicle was through Capital one and I paid it off 5 years ago.and it was a 60 month term. I never had one missed payment or any late payments. I do not owe any creditors, I definitely will not refer any customers to this agency.

    I received an offer from Capital One Auto Refinance to lower my car payment. They represent that it will not impact your credit score to pre qualify. I decided to apply solely on their assertion that it would not have an impact my my credit. I completed the online form was informed that I was pre qualified and was offered the rate advertised in the mailer I received. With that information I agreed to allow Capital One to do a formal inquiry on my credit which does impact your score. After providing additional information I was informed that my application and loan was approved. They just needed a couple of documents filled out and submitted which I did. A few days later I get an email and phone call stating that they need a few questions answered to get my application back on track. I wasn't aware it was off track...they had already said my loan was approved and they were just finalizing things on their end. I called Capital One this morning to see what I could answer and was informed that the loan to value amounts did not meet their requirements. They pulled and provided the exiting loan and vehicle information during the application process and provided it to me. I argued that they had already approved the loan and that I wouldn't have allowed them to damage my credit if they had not assured me that i was approved. They said there was nothing they could do and refused to rectify the situation they had created. Do not fall for Capital One's scam. They lie to consumers and make false claims on their solicitations. They lied to me and they will lie to you too. They impacted my credit and reneged on their commitment. I had a perfectly good loan. I didn't have to go to Capital One, they came to me with empty promises of saving me money without damaging my credit. I have two credit cards with Capital One that I will never use again. I will tell everyone I know about their shady practices. They have done this same thing to many people. My hope is that this honest review will prevent others from being abused by this company.

    If I could give a negative star, I would. Have refinanced a autoloan through Capital One Auto Finance. They were not diligent in getting the title of the car. Car was totalled loss after couple of months before I found out they still did not do what was needed to get the title "perfected". Results: my insurance paid off the car since May and Capital One Auto Finance say they can't cash the fund because of the title issue. Have tried countless of times, spending hours over the phone being thrown from left to right without having a solution neither can't they stop claiming me to pay the loan for a car which is totalled loss. Who can pay loans for two cars with only one being used with no salary increase to cover that? Funny is last time I checked, they wanted to now say all what's happening is because of COVID19 (lol). Am TIRED! I guess when they will be able to do their work someone will call me

    Customer service is non existent. There is no person to talk to. They transfer me everywhere so they do not have to take responsibility for their mistakes. If there is a mistake on your loan you are in for months of trying to get your title after you payoff. Nobody cares.

    Capital One is the worst!!! I had to use them to get a sales prices at the dealer and quickly refinanced with my credit union but Capital One went on and deducted my account anyway. They were supposed to issue a refund in August and here it is December. 'Check is lost in the mail' what they say. See what happens if your auto loan payment is 'lost in the mail'... run, run, run, away...
