Our mortgage banker at Capital Bank, Brent Mendelson, was a lifesaver this summer as we purchased a beach home. We had a short closing time of approximately a month on the Delaware shore where closing a loan can be difficult. I was connected to Capital Bank through the Own Up website. Capital Bank quickly offered a very competitive rate with the lowest loan costs. The Bank's application process was much easier and faster than others. Sara Knight and all the staff at the Bank were very friendly and helpful, responding quickly to all my questions. The only disappointment - we weren't able to beat Brent's 9-day start-to-close record! The Capital Bank website and portal to support the loan process were also user friendly and quite good. If I have ever have home financing needs again I will be sure to look at Capital Bank again and/or call Brent Mendelson. Full disclosure - this is the second loan where I've worked with Brent (first was for first-time home buyer house purchase). If you cannot tell based on my repeat usage I would highly recommend that anyone interested in a home loan reach out to Brent. If you don't have a loan guy, Brent should be your guy!

I have used Capital Bank twice. Once for an initial purchase and again for a refinance. For both loans, I worked with Rob Biacar and could not be more pleased with the experience. Rob was knowledgeable and responsive. Both closings were completed on time and without any problems. Do your research, and you will find that Capital Bank consistently offers the best VA mortgage rates. I will use them in the future for any/all of my loan needs without reservation.

He calls or emails responses to any questions I have at super-human speed and is super helpful all along the way. Was referred to Capital Bank by a friend in Real Estate business. Banker B**** M**** was immediately personable and helpful throughout the loan refinancing and settlement process. Loan documentation requirements grow increasingly more strict, but Capital made it clear which docs and proof were required to see the loan through underwriting. Fees were reasonable. Recommended.
