I am writing this review for the company in general. Caliber Home Loans is the worst lender someone can do business with. Do not waste your time! I’ve been trying to refinance my house with them, first the mortgage loan consultant was no help so I found another company that’s willing to help and that is determined to get me to that closing table. Now I’ve been trying to get a pay off letter for weeks. First they had a system upgrade now they cannot send pay off letters and nobody is telling me what the problem is. I called more than 5 times already. They keep transferring me to the “escalation” department thinking that I would finally be able to get that payoff letter but that department is also useless. This has been a nightmare and it is not a good look for the company.

Isidrio Gonzalez is the worst person we have ever worked with on loan. When we were looking for a new vacation home in Miami I contacted him to help us find the right home. He is rude and draged his feet through our entire process. We ended up using another company just so we didn't give him our business. The people at caliber home loans should really look into his personal performance when he is dealing one on one with potential customers. Glad to say we found a great place despite all the wasted time with this guy. I would suggest getting someone other than him to handle your needs. Sorry I had to leave a bad review because of the bad apple in the bunch.

Todd did an outstanding job getting my loan application approved without any complications. He is always available to answer any questions. He will be the choice of all my future loan applications.

After wasting more than a month with Bank of America and almost having the seller exit the deal because of the delays, Todd and his team were able to jump in and help us obtain lending to close on our first property. He was very responsive and helpful through the entire process.

Even after we closed, Mr. Lapenta continues to make himself available whenever we have questions or need advice. I have been fortunate to have Mr. Lapenta as my Loan Consultant for all 3 of our purchases and have personally followed him as he made career advancements and transitions from Wells Fargo. It’s near impossible to find genuine Loan Consultants because the majority of them are eager to turn and burn and not do what’s best for the client.

Todd LaPenta is the consummate professional. He is reliable, proactive, detailed, thorough in everything he does, and he makes every interaction a very pleasant one. Anyone looking for "The Best" in Home Loans will not go wrong with Todd LaPenta of Caliber Home Loans

This is the worst lender I have ever dealt with not only prior to closing which took 6 months but now it is impossible to log into online payments and online support is useless. I have been dealing with them for a month and still cannot access my online account.
