He came in person multiple times to explain the situation and to make sure everything is going well with the process since it was very stressful situation. Our original lender dropped the ball BIG TIME the day before we were supposed to close. Our agent suggested we switch lenders and go with Kristi Van Meter at Caliber. This was three best idea ever! I really hate being the fly in the ointment, but this is getting beyond unprofessional into the realm of invasive. Stacy and her assistant took over for another agent working under her who quit half way through our mortgage process. Nothing had been done, the file was a mess, the underwriters hadn't been sent anything, and half of everything we were told was wrong. She gave a valiant effort, I will give her that, but our loan was denied three days before closing. When we tried to salvage with another mortgage company, we were informed we shouldn't have been qualified in the first place because of an issue with our cosigner, my grandfather. Now, not even a week and a half later, he is getting visits from a caseworker for a report of elder abuse? Too much of a coincidence. The BBB has closed their case file because there is nothing they can do. If Ms. Benner had actually given us the answer we needed of 'No' when she was given the case, or had actually paid attention to how someone she was supposed to supervise had been mishandling mortgage files, there would be no need for this review. Never using this company in the future, and I am spreading the word as best I can to stay away.
