When there was a change to my loan due to issues in underwriting he provided me with options on how to move forward. I made a decision, but by the time I received the revised loan estimate I was having second thoughts. I called Ross and left a message about my concerns. He promptly returned my call and walked me through all the options once again. I decided that I had made a mistake and wanted to change my rate, he had a great attitude about it. We utilized Cake Mortgage to recently refinance our home. We were nervous to say the least about working with a company that was outside of our home state. The process ended up being truly flawless. My experience was nothing short of amazing, smooth and EASY process. If you qualify, seriously consider Cake Mortgage, as they're a top-notch blend of competitive, friendly, quick and professional. Refinancing with the help of Joshua Kelman and Laura Ker was jaw-droppingly smooth and convenient... and fast! Within moments of submitting my info on a company-matching site, Joshua called me and offered me a lower rate than any competitor. A month later (including the holidays), I was signing. After the quick initial call with Joshua, almost immediately afterward I was able to log onto the secure site to complete my application and upload the documentation. By the afternoon I had e-signed the necessary forms. Joshua was available to walk me through everything, but I do things like this for a living and preferred to self-serve. Laura then took over helping me as the processor, coordinating with their underwriting department for approval and gathering other information needed. I first spoke with Joshua 12/20, and things moved pretty quickly despite the holidays. Laura worked New Years Day to send me an email that my loan was conditionally approved, pending final paperwork and distance. Due to refinancing an amount much lower than what the current market says my home is worth, I didn't have to have an inspection, so I can't speak to that process. There was a slight delay on my end for all of the necessary paperwork because my insurance was renewing at the same time and I wanted to try to get a lower rate before paying the renewal. (Inflation is NOT transitory...) Once I provided proof that insurance would be in force, the final approval came in and they arranged a notary to come by. I signed 1/20, but it would have been closer to 2 1/2 or 3 business weeks start-to-finish if I'd gotten them everything timely, which is ridiculously fast. The notary was shocked at the time-frame, and given that it took me three months to finance in the first place, I agreed. I have confirmed that the closeout payment has been made to the original mortgage company on schedule. The loan amount was just a bit over what was due (by less than a thousand), and yesterday I received the overnighted check for that amount. Laura followed up with me the other day to confirm for me that everything had processed and my check was in the mail. It was lovely to speak with her again, and I mean that personally as well as professionally. I understand that my situation includes refinancing at much lower than market value, pre-existing experience with the process/paperwork/etc., and that meant that there were no surprises or hiccups on their end. YMMV, of course. But I strongly suggest you consider Cake Mortgage in your search for financing or refinancing. If they can get you a low rate, go for it!

I never knew getting a refi could be, well, a piece of cake. William and Aryan were total professionals during the entire process. They kept me informed every step of the way and I feel I received the best loan terms from my first contact with William. From beginning to end, the whole electronic process took approximately 30 days. I highly recommend Cake Mortgage for your refinancing needs. I was originally planning to get a home equity loan with my local credit union, but while I was waiting to hear back I started shopping around for rates and came across Cake Mortgage. Their ridiculously low rate for a 15-year cash out refinance was worth changing my plans for. I was a little hesitant and "politely paranoid" at first, but after getting some chuckles from the clever branding on their website, learning about their history, researching their NMLS, reading their reviews, and checking out their BBB, I felt confident enough to provide them with all of my information. And I'm so glad I did because I had the best experience working with Joshua Kelman and Laura Ker! I had only been self-employed for about 20 months, so I was a little nervous about that potentially causing issues, but since I was able to get my 2021 taxes done, it all worked out. Both Josh and Laura were very friendly, very informative, and very much on top of everything, every step of the way. I am very thankful for them throughout the whole process, and now I get to enjoy the funds to remodel my home while also paying it off 5 years sooner than our original mortgage. This was my first time doing a refinance with just internet companies. Tried 3 others and then talked to Cake. First impression was Cake answered all my questions about the basic process. Some of these basic questions, none of the other parties answered. Cake was the only one who took the time to explain. After deciding to take Cake's offer, they walked me through the process on both the phone and by email. A few times, there were delays due to me. When I came back to the process, Cake would tell me where I stood and what I needed to do. No pressure about being slow or late. In the end, it finished in a timely fashion, with little work on our side. I would gladly work with Mo and Artin of Cake again.

I had a great experience refinancing my loan through Millennial much in part to the excellent service provided by the Loan Officer, Alvin and the Loan Processor, Laura. Alvin got the process off to a great start, pivoting quickly and providing options when I changed my mind on the loan amount, ensuring I didn't lose the best rate. And Laura did a great job guiding me through the process and cleared road blocks like a champ. Despite some hold ups on my end with getting her what she needed, she worked diligently (above and beyond in my opinion) and got my loan through the process quickly, keeping me in the loop the entire time. Carl Wren and Skyler Lee were fantastic throughout the lending process. They were patient, proactive, responsive, and helpful. This was more than I can say about the underwriting department in general. They were unclear about what they required, slow, piecemeal in their requests, disorganized, and unprofessional in general. Were it not for Skylar and Carl, I would have dropped my application with Millennial. Due to the experience with underwriting, I gave only three stars to Millennial. Subsequent to submitting the above review, I received a call from Mike at Millennial who apologized for my negative experience with the underwriting department and asked for specifics about the matter. Mike indicated that the details of my experience would be used to improve on the customer service provided by underwriting. I appreciated Mike's call and was impressed that a member of the company follows up with consumers regarding the quality of their service and the experience of borrowers. It is rare that any organization, public or private, cares about their customer service these days. Millennial Home Lending/Cake Mortgage definitely earned my five stars today!

Our loan representatives were: Erick Shahnazari and Artin Nazarian We wanted to refinance our home. We applied with 4 companies (Cake/Millennial, New American Funding, Cardinal Financial, and Consumer Direct Mortgage) all within a week of each other. All of the companies had kind representatives and were happy to offer us a conventional refi loan. The document upload process was pretty similar for all 4 companies. However, the loan offers were different. Cake Mortgage's closing fees were WAY less than all of the 3 companies. They had no lender fees, no points, and they offered a lender credit. Plus, they were willing to offer us an interest rate equal to 2 others and less than the 4th. None the others came close to that. Since we were in it to get the best deal possible for us, we decided to show the other 3 companies our offer from Cake. One company was cordial said flat out said they couldn't beat it. The other 2 companies tore the offer apart and discredited everything. They made us feel like we were getting ourselves into "danger" because the offer was too good to be true and that Cake must be a lousy company because they were going to "surprise us" at closing and "bait and switch". Needless to say, I was skeptical that it'd all work out. I explained to Erick that the other companies had basically claimed that Cake's offer was inadequate and that "all lenders charge a fee." He chuckled and encouraged us to run our loan out with Cake, and any other companies, to see which offer came in the lowest and closed the fastest. I was shocked. He was totally laid back, not pushy, and didn't discredit the other companies at all. So that's exactly what we did. I probably asked Erick 3 to 5 times throughout the weeks of processing if we would owe anything if we backed out of our Cake loan at the last minute. He was chill the whole time and said nope. I would hands-down recommend him as a rep for anyone! Artin was awesome, too! Both of them were quick to answer the phone and always texted/emailed back right away. All in all, we ended up choosing Cake because they CLOSED the fastest and their offer DIDN'T CHANGE. We told our mortgage notary at closing about our experience. She said that mortgage companies will try to discredit other companies all the time to get consumers to take their offer. We appreciated that Cake never tore any of the other companies apart. They were laid back and encouraged us the whole time to just keep going so that we would get the best deal in the end.

I worked with Haik Khachatryan & Vanik Sirekanyan to close on a 15 yr cash out refi in about 40 days. First and foremost, the rates were uber competitive , no points or closing costs (they gave me lender credits) was their 1st and best offer. I did shop their rate against another local vendor which they couldn't match the offer I was getting. What makes this especially sweet is my credit scores weren't top tier but I feel like I got a top tier deal. Vanik, helped me by communicating regularly with me on what needed to be completed and when. He called my creditors to take care of underwriting needs, thus I didn't need to chase down and get those vendors to send over paperwork as Vanik took care of this for me. It's almost like he was a personal assistant. Excellent customer service, timely communication and clearly explained both the process and paperwork. If it is 1 recommendation I can make, my other lender sent me a visual status that showed where in the process my loan was. I really liked this because it was able to tell me how much work was remaining in the process. Since I am a visual learner, I thought this was a great visual that I could reference wo necessarily asking someone what comes next and what is our completion %. I would highly recommend this company and would also do business again.

This was a good experience for us in refinancing. Our loan officer was Haik and our loan processor was Christin. Important conditions for a good lender are: having good rates, working quickly and accurately, staying in prompt communication with the customer, and properly educating the customer to make informed decisions. MHL did all this. They responded much faster than other lenders to my refi inquiry and moved the whole loan process through about as fast as possible. 34 days from initial contact to funding date.

Worked with Zildgian (processor) and William over the last couple of months. I contested my appraisal which did no good which added three weeks to the closing process. Did not like the local appraiser which is no fault of Millennial Home Lending. Outstanding service and quick responses from both Gentlemen at Millennial. I HIGHLY recommend this company. Absolutely wonderful to work with in processing my refinancing. I have 4 properties which I wanted to take advantage of the current low rates and reducing them down to 15 years. I worked with the initial processor, Will S, who worked diligently in putting a very competitive package. I then had quotes from other competitors that Will and his superior were able to match. Next, I worked with the follow-on processor, Laura K, who was instrumental in collecting all the necessary documents from me for processing by the underwriters, and believe me, the number of documents were in no small numbers. With all the back-and-forth communication, it was beyond me they were able to process all 4 properties in such a crunched timeframe, and successfully close all in one settlement day. Additionally, the level of effort for due diligence and accuracy Laura exhibited was quite "commandable", not to mention her patience in answering all my concerns and questions. Yes, I would definitely work with them again on my future purchases and mortgage needs. They do have their process and transparency in place to seamlessly execute my loans with no hidden and "got-cha" surprises. 4 thumbs up if I had 2 extra thumbs!

I received a flyer in the mail and wasn't even thinking about refinancing, but the interest rate advertised was half my original rate. I know this could be a ploy just to have me call, so I looked up reviews to see if they were legit and decided to make the call and just see what they could offer. I also decided that as soon as they said it would cost me even $1, I'm out. I spoke with Michael Azimian and from the start, he asked what I was looking for, I said lower interest rate and lower monthly payment. He walked me through the whole process. He was super friendly and understanding of my ignorance. This was my first home and first refinance. He made me feel comfortable with the whole process and answered all my questions. In the end, they actually paid ME to refinance, and I'm now saving $400 on my mortgage every month. Millennial Home Lending is legit and they are wonderful. Oh! AND this was all done really quickly. I have waited 2 months to write this review, to get my new payments established and make sure everything is exactly how I wanted it before I decided if this was a great experience or not. It was really easy to refinance with cake! I was able to do everything online, signing legal documents and such. And the notary came to my house For the final paperwork to be signed , very convenient. And they were all very professional.! And it was a pleasure talking and dealing with them. Update: A Sales Manager from Cake did reach out to me because of my review below. He told me that a few hundred dollars wasn't worth it to them to have a bad review. We discussed my issues with the process. He agreed that I had valid points. He also told me that I should be transparent and let all of you readers know that I "got a great deal". So for full disclosure, I have a 2.875 rate for a 15 year and paid $1200 in fees. You can decide if this is a "great deal". I was told originally that my fees would be $800. This is one of my complaints. I haven't heard from them for 8 days. I guess they decided that it wasn't worth it for me to edit my review. I stand by my 1 star. My only change is that now another 45 minutes of my life was wasted reliving the frustrating experience with another sales person. Original review: Our refinance finally closed today. I started my conversations 1/6/22, locked on 1/26/22 and was finally funded today - 63 days later. It was a very stressful 63 days. The person who I started the process with was wonderful. I chose going with him because he was helpful and responsive. He also told me that it would take 3-4 weeks to close. He was the first to disappear about a week later. The processor we worked with was condescending in his communications. After 6 weeks, we were asked to sign a new document just to "keep things going". When I read it through, it was adding nearly $900 in additional fees to the lender because we would still be in the process beyond our lock period. I pointed out that it was Cake's fault we weren't finished - not mine - and I refused to sign. The processor assured me he would "talk to his manager" and see what could be done about the fee. Ultimately this processor disappeared as well. I was still trying to get the fee dealt with less than 24 hours until our closing. They finally reduced it by $500 but I still think that Cake was very wrong for charging it in the first place and everything about how their communication was cancelled. Additionally, that processor disappeared three days before our closing and we had a replacement processor who had clearly no idea what had been promised as far as "conversations with a manager". Email addresses were rerouted to different names when I would reply to messages, voice mail boxes were full when I would call to get answers and when I questioned being referred to as "sir" during a text exchange the reply was "sorry - I was texting two customers at the same time". What?!?!? I felt that the communications were never forthright and the staff I dealt with were never helpful. I always had to ask questions - when is the appraisal likely to be scheduled? When should I receive the documents? etc..... and hope that they would get back with honest answers. Overall, a very frustrating experience and I would not do business with Cake again. Once I started to feel like I'd made a mistake working with them and found other negative reviews online, I wish I had done more research. I think there is a lot of staff change over in this company and they don't have a clue who has promised what. I would strongly urge anyone to keep shopping if Cake Mortgage is on your list.

We started a refi with another company and they stalled because of interest rates going up . We wanted to do a no cash out refi to remove the pmi payment. We decided to call cake to get another quote and Daniel was awesome he put together a deal that would pay off a auto loan and some revolving credit accounts saving us about 600 dollars a month even our new mortgage payment went up by 300 dollars and pmi was removed. Our loan processor Patric was amazing he was very professional and closed our loan in 21 days with very little paperwork the process was painless and like the name of their company was a piece of cake.

You know how as you get older, you realize there are some "adulting" topics you just never really learned about? Mortgage refinancing was one of those for me. I just kept assuming that a refi of my mortgage wouldn't make sense, due to the thousands of dollars in fees I'd have to pay. Where I came up with these "thousands", I'm not sure. Everything went smoothly, and was completed on the timeline they estimated from the beginning. Refis are more work than I realized! I was pleasantly surprised by how quick and easy the refinancing process was with Cake Mortgage and Millennial Home Lending. I've done 4-5 refinances in the past 30+ years and Alvin, my loan officer, and Aryan, my loan processor, were great to work with and experts in their field. My contact, Ilene, was always available to answer questions, and everything moved forward as quickly as possible. After a scary start I am very pleased to be updating this review to say this company is very much recommended. We worked w/ Azad as our loan processor and she was absolutely fantastic. If it was not for her, her patience, constant follow up and her thorough explanations i don’t know that I would have updated this rating, but thankfully she was absolutely fantastic! I will say I did get a call from Mgr, Sean who was very apologetic for the original experience also. I wish I could have given them 4 1/2 stars but that is just not an option and a perfect score of 5 stars just didn’t seem right given how genuinely panicked I was. The only improvement I would recommend is a better process being implemented for emergency out of office support to ensure clients are left wondering what happened.

I completed a refinance with Millennial Home Lending and they were super helpful throughout the entire process. From discussing initial loan estimates with Harry A. to the closing and processing with Patric A., they ensured all my questions were answered and that the process was easy as possible. Would highly recommend working with them!

Either this company engaged in a bait-and-switch operation or the individual who took my application (C), made a $4,000 mistake by leaving out the points on my estimate. The APR he offered in WRITING was about 1/2 percentage below other estimates I received on the same day. I was ready to commit to Millennial after seeing the great Google rating and great interest rate, but when I contacted (C) again, he eventually admitted that the points had in fact been left out of he estimate. Millennial's rates were about the same as others. I could never reach (C) again after that awkward phone call. E-mails remained unreturned. I give two stars since this could have been a mistake and (C) seemed genuinely embarrassed. Double-check to make sure you are getting information on all the true costs if dealing with this company. Have a broker from another company check out he documents.

Millennial Lending has been excellent to work with in refinancing my home. The process is segmented in such a way that you work with an expert at each level of the process. I would use Millennial Lending again and I would refer my friends to this company. I properly vetted the company and that came out excellent as well. Obviously, I attempt to refinance with my current mortgage lender who wanted us to pay $22,000 in closing. I contacted another mortgage lender who want $9,000 in closing costs. Both loan officer (Tony T.) and loan processor (Armen Z.) from Millennial Home Lending were every professional, knowledgeable and patient. They listed to what I needed and then responded and took care of my needs. They were responsive. Sometimes they made me felt like I was the only one customer they were helping. We were able to work together efficiently. It's their management's fortune to have those employees in the team. On the other hand, I wish it could have closed the refi a little bit sooner (it took 2 months to close). Oh well I am sure they have a lot of backlog due to current low interest rate situation.
