Love love love Bull Moose! If they don't have what you want in their store and you call, chances are they can order it for you and have it shipped directly to the store. I think this feature is amazing because you don't have to pay shipping and handling this way, just wait for them to call you that it has arrived then go pick it up! They have the best prices around on really good incense, my spouse and I try to keep a bunch of different scents on hand and Bull Moose has such a vast selection. We also love their options for used books and DVDs which sometimes you can get for just a couple dollars. What a steal! We also love many obscure movies and usually are able to find them here which is perfect for our odd taste. If you are into gaming this place is great too for board and card games and they do have console game disc's as well. They pretty much have everything you could want for entertainment purposes. Check them out, you won't be disappointed. And if they don't have what you are looking for, ask a member of their helpful staff and maybe they can order it for you! Oh, did I mention they will buy your old movies, books and more too? Yeah, pretty cool!

Staff is always friendly, and they don't make you feel weird or dumb when you ask for help. There's always things there that no one else has, and the resale inventory is always good as well as the new!!! Book pricing is a good or way better than other retailers.

Went to BullMoose to help celebrate "Record Store Day". This has always been a great place to obtain music in whatever form of media you prefer. They've added books also!

The staff here is always super nice and helpful. They are really down to earth and treat you like a person instead of just the next customer they need to help. The selection is always good and the store is clean and organized.

Bull Moose is an amazing store filled with almost anything you could want, books, cds, vinyl at very fair prices. I often go through the book bins and come home with 8 to 10 books for about 5 dollars. Something for everyone at Bull Moose.

The place is a Pop culture dream store! They have the best adult coloring books, and I scored a Grogu squishamallows! You never know what you'll find here from all the buy backs they do

Huge selection of everything. I left with 7 DVD and an Xbox 1 game all for around $50. Staff knows what they're talking about and offer to clean disks for you before you even pay.

End heaven, best place to go if you happen to be into MtG or D & D, they have ample anime selection, rpg goodies and game books galore. As well as an extensive Manga and regular books section, I've been going here the better part of 25 years and they never disappoint there's always something for someone.

I like this store, it has a lot to offer, however, it came up as a comic book store, which is what I was after, and there were not comic books. Graphic novels and manga, yes, comic books, no.

Ah, one of my favorite places - and I don't even buy anything. I'm always a little short on cash but even so, just seeing the selection of stuff they have is excellent - majestic, even. If you have gaming money, I very much recommend this place - and, haven't done it in years, but I remember the disc return/repair service being great.

This place is fantastic for almost anyone, if you like music, books, movies, TV, video games, board games, card games and so much more I am sure I am missing! Both used and new of everything, very decent pricing and their points reward system is a great incentive for going to them instead of other comparable stores. I always buy my new movies and video games here because its almost always $3-5 cheaper than anywhere else, even online most of the time. A great place to find that one old movie or record that you have been looking for!

Good place to find rare movies, music, and games at an excellent price. Grab bags of random CDs, movies, and games excellent way to expand a limited collection for a low cost. Trade in program is an excellent way to upgrade any collection or when times are tight raise some extra cash with items no longer being used. Rewards program is excellent.. not only do you earn points for purchases.. but also trade ins which is quite rare and can add up quickly to 50% of a large purchase. Sometimes it can be quite challenging to find items in store but staff always ready to assist customers and most anything can be ordered if not currently stocked to pick up at location quickly.. sometimes in as little as two days. Checking in is not required as they are always great about contacting to let you know item has been received and ready for pick up.. overall excellent and have been a frequent shopper at Bull Moose locations since early 90's.

Granted you don't pay much when it comes to buying movies, music, and games... however, when it comes to selling.... u have everything! I've never not found a book, DVD, or CD that I search for.. You carry a wide selection of all of it.. And the customer service? Top notch. Very respectful, courteous, and patient. Always willing and eager to help me if I need it and always determined to get any and all questions I may have answered. I highly recommend this business when on the look out for new and used books, music, and movies.. as well as a descent selection of the quirkiest, most hilarious gifts and gift gags that I've seen. Highly impressed and one of my favorite places to shop. ;)

Excellent tv and film library and great prices! Wish the PS4 games weren't all locked away (I'd love to shop the options but don't want to bother an employee to babysit me for 20 minutes while I peruse). Great spot for pop culture lovers of all kinds!

Amazing customer service. I went in looking for a game for my son, I was only in there about 5 minutes they took me right to the game Got Me Wrong up and out of there. I realized 2 days later when I went to install the game my son already had it. I called bull moose told them I had already opened in the game but hadn't put it in the Xbox yet and wanted to know if I could get credit for an exchange on it due to the fact my son already had it. The guy put me on hold for about 3 minutes came back and told me they would do a full refund if I would like I was very happy because I really didn't want to spend almost $100 on Minecraft thank you balloons

The staff here is super friendly and helpful. They also know their stuff. The store has a great selection of music -- including lots of vinyl. Mixed into all of the shelves are lots of pre-owned items at lower cost, but even the new items are bargain-priced. Love this store.

Selection is gone, bare bones, not sure what's going on here, not taking donations? Used to be able to get pretty much anything you want. Lol couldn't figure out how to get out.. Kinda like waiting in line for a ride, just to find out the line WAS the ride

The store has a large selection movies books end music. You're able to search online purchase new as well as used. They have old game systems and games such as DS and Nintendo as well as records. Staff are friendly knowledgeable and helpful. This location is highly recommended.

i have been going to Bull Moose stores since i moved back to Maine in 1996. I started at the Bangor location, and have now also been to the Portland ( where i live) South Portland and Scarborough locations. Every store i have been in has the coolest, most helpful and friendly staff members of any business i have ever been in. it is freaking magical. i don't know how and where the employees are found, and i don't care...... because i get the best customer service in these stores. and I guarantee you will too. i have ZERO bad to say about these stores. i have nothing but positive to say here. i would have to say that is pretty impressive, i have shopped in 4 stores for over 20 years .

I love this store! Very nice staff, and it's cool that you can find just about any movie or CD or video game that you want. There are books, and all kids of random cool stuff to look at!

They have one of the best selections of any type of media around. They aren't always the cheapest, but if you are smart you can have them price match stuff for you. Don't go to Walmart just because it's cheaper there. Have bull moose price match it and help out a small business that is geared to bring you entertainment.

Love this place, you can find a good deal and they have everything. Occasionally it can be a little pricey but that all depends on what you're getting. They have a very simple point system, so every time you buy something and accumulate points you can use your points to get something for half off.

Bull Moose is alright some stuff is decently priced but I wouldn't take anything in there to sell unless you're going to get store credit for it! I brought in well over a 100 DVDs mostly TV shows and movies and they only gave me like $45 for it I believe it was and I had a PlayStation 3 with everything the cords the remotes and three games and they only offered me f****** $15 for it!!! I will never sell anything in there again

Been shopping at Bull Moose Music in Bangor since I was a wee lad and the store was a third of its current size. Back then I just went for unedited CDs (because Walmart SUCKS) and now I also go for some nerd-chic décor, video games, books, and movies. The staff has always been lovable, as well. Never in my near two decades of shopping there have I had a bad time, regretted a purchase, or been left wanting more. Shop here. Seriously. You will find something you like, and it will be cheaper here than elsewhere more often than not.

Any small local book, music, media store that is still actually in business in 2020 deserves 5 stars. But hell, I would've given Bull Moose 5 stars in 1997. Great store, good people, cool stuff.

Great place with great employees! I feel like a friend to the employees, not a customer. They are always eager to answer whatever questions you may have, even if it's a 40 minute phone call just about movies they have on stock and prices. Only improvement I could suggest would be better trade in value, especially if I'm using it for store credit. Though, that is not up to the individual store.

Great used CD section, well organized, I found a small stack to acquire. Although you have to fold in half to see music at ankle level. Some dusty displays. Bought some merchandise, kinda thought the name should say something about what they're about, like "entertainment" or "music". I'm from another part of the country and would never know what Bull Moose is. I still love their store and the cool aroma in there!

Two stars for finding a rare metal cd. However, this location in Bangor is starting to really decline in customer service. However... Bullmoose sells Magic The Gathering sinlges in addition to boosters. Oftentimes, they don't reprice the singles. That in of itself isn't a problem as I don't really buy singles from here anyways, as I'm not gonna pay more than what the card is worth. Today though, an employee repriced a card for another customer, but I didn't get the same service. Grant it, it was from a different employee. Wizards of the Coast and it's distributers have a very strict policy of how to sell singles. If a card falls in price, it must be purchased for that current market value. Same as if the card rises in price. I'll be getting in touch with a distributor that I know in order to hopefully resolve the issue with how the store handles the cards.

I love, love, love Bull Moose. I've been a loyal customer for years!! The spacious area is neat, organized, clean, and merchandise is easily located. The staff offer assistance when they see somebody needing help...On Point!! One time, I was very tired and asked for help. Staff went to the back of the store opposite of where I was standing, and retrieved what I needed. Excellent customer service!!!

Always an awesome experience. I travel about an hour to go to the Bangor spot because its the closest to me.went there to get a new release book and they had it right on the shelf. And i always pick up a cd when im there too. You guys never disappoint.

They have a wide selection of records CDs movies video games a lot of books they got it all they will even buy your old video games and stuff for in-store credit I like bull moose I recommend anyone to go check it out

Cool store, good selection of used books and other products which is always nice to see

You'll have to hunt hard to find a good bargain. Staff wasn't too interactive and many items I saw (albums & tv seasons) I've seen priced less elsewhere. They do have a good anime section and if you're looking for funny random gifts you might have luck here but even though I've been to the store a few times, I've never walked out feeling like I had a great experience.

If the mp3/streaming age had never come to fruition, all media stores would look like Bull Moose. A fantastic shopping experience, both in store and online.

Still one of my favorite stores ever. This place has everything, Books, movies, toys, a fat Albert lookalike in rainbow suspenders, video games, records, little people wearing Mozart wigs.

I enjoy going into seeing the old video games, and movies that you won't see at other stores for nostalgia purposes.

Bull Moose is great. The staff is helpful and the inventory is interesting. It has been a long time since I have purchased something from a store that I did not specifically go into the store with the intention of purchasing.

Employees were EXTREMELY rude. Asked a simple question to 2 different employees and both blew me off and never answered my question. Very disappointed and won’t return.

Great Atmosphere, Great Selection, Couldn't get internet where we live so remote, Great People, Great Place, Great Deals, $1 Movie section we spent many many hours there. Awesome little toys on counter. Just great little gag gifts, games all the newest an movies, not bad prices especially used! Def worth the Stop. Not to Mention old vinyl u can't get anywhere else or old movies etc. A MUST STOP IF YOUR IN BANGOR MAINE..

Pretty good store! They have a wide selection of manga, books, records, CDs, DVDs, etc. If I lived in Maine I'd probably frequent this place. :^) Only thing is I have a bit of an eclectic style (I wear a witch hat almost every day) and I could definitely tell the other customers were giving me weird looks. 😅 Their problem, though!

Man, this store never disappoints. It caters to all groups nerds, sports lovers, parents, children and many more. They have collectables, games, records and books. Definitely worth a stop if your in any of the major stores in Maine.

You know the feeling you get when you just finished your 9th can of ravioli? that sick feeling? 😫 Well that how I feel walking into Bullmoose, the staff are always listening to some local artists on full blast talking amongst each other about how fat the bass line is, not paying any attention to you or even asking if you need help all looking like failed sound technician with man buns. Good book selection tho!!!!

Used to be my favorite now it feels like a sinking ship. Employees talking to each other didn't even ask if we needed anything. Wanted to ask about an order but ended up not even caring enough to break up the flirty high-school chit-chat. Used to come few times a week now its once at most if we are in the neighborhood. Shame.

Moved back to maine recently, customer service is great, employees are nice and helpful! I'm a retro game collector and do some of my shopping here, prices are all around fair! Thus far everything I've bought has been in excellent condition

It's a great one-stop-shop for music, games, books, comics/manga, table-top figures, squirrel underwear, and gifts for pop culture lovers. Usually, the employees will help you find (or will order) any of the above, and answer any questions they can. I had a bad experience with one employee tonight, but he's an outlier in my experience. Not that it matters, 'cause I got good info and great effort towards customer service from his manager. And ultimately, It's local people selling locally instead of a big box store. ...strongly considered a 5-star.

Great independent record store, in fact they started vinyl and independent record store day if I remember correctly. They also have a good selection of movies, games (electronic and tabletop), books and fun stuff. The staff is top notch and they are very generous in their used buyback program.

Very nice workers, good options of things. I wish they had more kpop albums though, it wasn’t a huge collection but it was still pretty good. It smells kind of weird.

They have grab bags of movies, I’m so indecisive on what to get so I saw grab bags and cheap got some great movies inside I would of never thought to watch a definite plus got 11 ( a few on a disc) for some but still all these movies for about 6.00!! And some were labeled on what’s inside like drama, horror, action etc. really happy if I ever get back there it’s a definite must go too now I have enough movies for our trip and then some thanks for offering this. really happy we stopped by!! They also have music and books and fun little things like squishy balls and crazy items. Would def suggest worth going to for sure!!

Coolest local spot, hasb diverse music, movie, and graphic novel selections. Best to go there to discover something because their stock is varied, but you can always go on their website if you have a specific purchase in mind.

The store is great and it is a lot better stocked than I remember. I was surprised to see such a wide selection about only music but movies games and toys. I swung by for nostalgia's sake but ended up getting a bunch of Christmas presents because the selection was so damn good.

Bullmoose music store has been a local staple for the biggest and best variety of music, books, games video/board, and movies. There are several gifts and novelties through the store. If you're a nerd this is a great store for you. Music lovers will find a lot of gems. You can often find a movie here that you wouldn't find elsewhere locally too. I love this store.

Great selection of new and used movies, music, video games, books, table top games, comic, toys and more. The record section is quite impressive and you can often find a lot of great releases on sale. For video games there is everything from retro consoles and games to current gen. Sometimes the prices are even better than what you'll be able to find on Amazon/eBay and you'll frequently be able to find a used copy of whatever you're looking for. The books are priced cheaply as well, most are 30% or greater off the cover price.

Staff is always friendly & helpful! Plan on spending a couple hours here looking at everything they have!

Lots of things for sale, I didn't see any thing that jumped out at me, but I did see a nice selection of fiction books and Dungeons & Dragons type game materials at good prices. I love to browse here because the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Discovered this place online while trying to locate a specific 3D Bluray movie that is hard to find and Bull Moose had it for considerably less than ebay or anywhere else. Ordered 3 movies and all arrived in excellent condition. Great pricing on most 3D Bluray movies and free shipping on orders of at least $35. A good source for used 3D Bluray movies.

Staff was very helpful in finding the games and movies we were looking for. Was very courteous and polite when returning items. Staff was very pleasant in all circumstances. Highly recommend them for all movie, games, books that anyone is looking for, as well as pleasant staff to help with any of your needs.

One of my favorite stores in Bangor. I go for the 50 cent used books but always spend some time looking around. Music, movies, books, and weird and quirky gifts. Plus the staff is friendly and always ready to help you find what you need.

The staff is very helpful, prices pretty decent, you can find almost anything you're looking for, if they don't have it they will try to get it, second hand cds are in great shape no scratches, If they do have some scratches they have a scratch removal machine on hand, even if you just wanna drop in to get some of your own cds resurfaced they can do it for a few bucks.

This is one of my favorite places of all time! Everything there is cheaper, they have an awesome selection of video games, music, and movies and everyone that works there is awesome and friendly. They also have a super cool website so you can order most of their stuff and have it delivered!

They carry such a large variety of stuff for music and gaming, and they've always got pretty good prices and deals, as well as a nice rewards program too. And they sell new games for a few dollars cheaper than competitors too

My fiance and I are regulars here. He always comes for the games, I do too but I can always get lost in the horror movie section. They have old and new stuff of everything. I love the books too. The CD's you can find just about any artist you want, you'll even find band you never even heard of. If they don't have something you want then they can order it if a sister location has it. Prices range but mostly are reasonable. Also they have toys and candy up front. Very good place to kill time in.

One of the last places in the area where you can still browse books and music with a great selection of previously owned media. The vinyl section is getring bigher and better which is a plus. Only thing missing is coffee or tea and some more furniture.
