Bridgeton Onized Federal Credit Union N Pearl St, Bridgeton

Absolutely ridiculous that I received a check for my baby shower and had to give up $10 because I wasn't a member. Also had to fill out information as if I was opening an account. Even pointed out that I don't live in the state. Scrolled through the fees list on the website, did not see anything about a non member cashing fee.

I’m basing this review solely off my experience today. I’ve been banking with them for many years & now that Pam my go to girl is no longer working there I was worried who would help me. However Stephen Franzt & he was absolutely amazing! Not once made me feel like I was an inconvenience or a bother. Very pleasant to deal with & professional! He’s an excellent asset to Bridgeton Onized in my opinion.

1. They Never answer the phone. 2. Everyone there seems mad at the world. 3. The older female that works at the Bridgeton branch has a horrible attitude towards me ever time I go in there. 4. Trying to get a balance payoff is like pulling teeth. 5. I tried to recently get a vehicle loan and literally took 3 weeks for them to say the vehicle wasn’t worth the price. They offered to give me a much lower loan amount at 11% for 6 years. I went to Members first, they approved the loan with a day at 2.5% for 4 years. Bridgeton never even called back and left my file open. Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!!

It is an outdated bank trying to keep up with the big names. I decided to transfer out after being grandfathered in and it is so much better. I enjoy the new era of banking with phone pay and advanced mobile banking. Its not a bad bank, but once I switched there is so many more options.

This company lacks communication between their staff, record keeping and proper training/continuing education for their staff members. Each time I go into the branch or call by phone I get a different answer. The lending officer, who is in charge of the junk mail you receive, gave me a great deal of hassle to remove my deceased father off of the mailing list for credit card offers. He got bent out of shape and demanded I bring in the death certificate. If he would have simply checked the account file, he would have see that I gave them a copy of the d.c. in February 2018. This company is a joke. You are better off starting your own credit union rather than getting a loan through BOFCU.

My wife and I just got a loan for a lease buyout of our Acura from BOFCU. Worked with Greg who got the process started and Stephen helped us see it through. I previously had other loan quotes and Stephen was able to rate match without any issues! He was VERY helpful and got this done in record time. Appreciate the help and wouldn't hesitate to go back for our future loan needs!

The people there show a lot of patients I think it's the cars in front of us are usually slow, being unprepared not the workers. Especially Steven!!!

Opened an account in the Bridgeton Branch Friday 12/27/19. It was about 4 O’Clock in the afternoon. I’ve seen so many bad reviews on this bank but have to beg to differ. We had a less than 5 minute wait to get a teller whos name was Clarice. She was very helpful, polite and even had a smile on her face. Opening an account was very smooth and easy. She was able to accomplish everything my husband and I needed at the time. It is an older building but appeared clean. I like that there is an app that tells me where all of the usable atms are and that I can shut off my card immediately if I see suspicious activity. If I had one off thing to say it would be that I prefer a more private setting maybe a desk in a different area when opening an account or doing any transactions other than withdraws and deposits. Having to give private information with people standing right next to you is a little uncomfortable. All in all I left with what I went in for and I am glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews before passing judgement. I hope to have many good years with the credit union.

I have been a customer with them for years. Was told that I could refinance my loan via online application, which I submitted over a week ago. STILL have not heard anything back from them. I have tried e-mailing and calling, I have left multiple voice messages. I have accounts with another credit union/bank and this is by far the worst customer service I have received. At this point, I am considering taking my loan elsewhere.

The worst bank I have ever dealt with. Do not waste your time. They do not have a business account option even though you have to join the Bridgeton Chambers of commerce..something that's supposed to support businesses! Even after having the name attached to account your unable to deposit checks addressed to the company. The sad thing is I'll have to take off work early just to be able to cancel the account due to their terrible hours. Avoid this place!
