Blackhawk Bank is by far the best bank in Janesville. The employees are always very pleasant and helpful. I made a overnight deposit and then realized it was the wrong bank. I called right away the folliwing morning, even before they opened. Alex answered and knew who I was and exactly what I was talking about. She offered to drive to my bank and deposit my check for me during her lunch. Now that is excellent customer service and I'm not even a customer! Thank you Alex and Blackhawk bank for your exceptional service!

I was sent to this bank in order to get some papers notarized so I can get my Birth Certificate to get a Wisconsin Drivers License. However; they would not accept my identification due to it being expired. I also had my VA MEDICAL CARD with me and they didn't even look at it. Was not happy when I left and will not do business with this bank in future.

Sara with the Janesville branch was amazing to work with. We were looking to refi our current mortgage, which was already with them, but we interviewed a few other lenders before deciding to stick with Blackhawk. We are SO glad we did! The other lenders were saying 90-100 days out to closing, would go weeks without communicating. I emailed with Sara and she said we would have it done with 45 days, locked us in at an amazing rate, was always working late and calling us with updates. She was on top of our file the whole time. I will always return back to them when we buy again or refer anyone I know to them. Very kind, communicative and responsive people. Thank you Blackhawk and thank you Sara R.

During a recent trip through Janesville, I stopped into this bank hoping to buy a roll of quarters, and the teller would not help me because I did not have an account with their bank (and both tellers on duty made a point to to tell me they wouldn't help me before going back to chatting amongst themselves; it was apparently a super busy day for them). If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. Snooty, dismissive, and unhelpful staff - not to mention that it's totally ridiculous that a bank won't allow a prospective customer to exchange currency at their office. Avoid!
