Jose and his team were a privilege to work with! Nowadays it can be difficult to find people that “do what they say they are going to do”. They exceeded my expectations at every turn. It all seemed to be going good the first two weeks until I gave Jeff a call to find out about the appraisal. We only had a couple more weeks until the closing date. I asked him if he had heard anything, and he said "oh I forgot about that, thank you! Let me look. I should of heard something a week ago". Well after that it took another couple weeks to get an appraisal. Along the way mutable times we had to remind him about paperwork we had already given him that he was asking for again. When we were asked to drop off $2000 for the EMD we were not told anything as far as how to do it or how NOT to do it. All we were told by Jeff was to take in the money to the Title company. We did and a week later we asked if it was good. Jeff said yes it was perfect. Well a month later and 2 closing extensions later Jeff tells us it will not work, that we could not get cash as a gift. All the mistakes he made, he never admitted to. He would always talk in circles and place blame elsewhere or tell us we misunderstood. This was my first time buying a home and was supposed to be a happy time but instead it was sleepless nights and a lot of anger and crying from frustration and wanting to just give up. Jeff made this experience horrible. There were so many times we were asked if this was his first time doing this job and we wondered the same thing. It was not only us as buyers getting upset with Jeff, our realtor and her boss also got involved and grew more and more frustrated with him for dropping the ball so many times. We ended up having to do a third closing extension which left me and my kids only 2 days to get moved out and clean the old house because the landlord already had new renters. The stress it caused made me never want to buy a home again. This is just the short version of everything Jeff put us through. We will discourage anyone who asks about using BVM!

Dalene is amazing. She had us install the app and I sent all my documents to her. She closed us so quickly with no problem. I recommend using her and Big Valley Mortgage for all your home loans.

I can not say enough about our lender, Jeff Chacon. As a first time home buyer, Jeff kept me up to date on the whole process, always detail orientated and available at a moment's notice. Jeff worked with me tirelessly to make sure I received the best possible loan, never missing a deadline and always keeping me in the loop. He made a very stressful process easy and pain free.
