I was pretty nervous going into this experience because I’ve never sold to a pawn before. Trevor was the nicest guy ever and made the whole process very very easy! I feel like I got a very fair price which I am super grateful for!! All of the staff seemed like they genuinely enjoy working with each other and taking care of customers. So glad I went there and not somewhere else!!!!!

I've had nothing but the best experience Big Dog Pawn. The staff is amazing and kind and will do anything to try to help you which is very appreciated especially when you're in a position to where you really need it. Nick and Trevor help me when I came into the store and made me feel so welcome and comfortable and again they did everything they could to help me with the item that I had in to get what I was asking. If you're in a tight space and need a little bit of help I definitely recommend coming in to the West Jordan Big Dog Pawn and talking to those two you won't regret it!!!!

Big Dog Pawn is a great place to get a good used laptop at a great price. The service was fantastic, helpful and made sure I bought what I wanted and gave me a more than fair price. I recommend to anyone needing a laptop or anything else to try them first!

Not gonna lie, at first when my friend told me about this pawn shop, I was a bit skeptical, seeing as pawn shops get quite a bad rap for how they do business, but after coming here myself, I have to say that I was quite impressed...! The customer service is always great, always greeted with a warm welcome, regardless of the day. I really love how these guys are open 7 days a week, and literally from 9 am - 9 pm! That’s amazing!! Usually when 5 pm rolls around on any other day, I’ve lost hope to make it to just about any pawn shop, but not with these guys, I’m always confident that if I’m tight with money on any given day, I know that at least I have until 9 pm at night to make it to these guys to pawn or sell something for some quick cash:) it’s just reassuring to know! Now, when it comes to business, they definitely work with you! I mean, obviously it’s a business and they have to make some sort of profit, but it isn’t so heart breakingly ridiculous of price gap when it comes to buying, or pawning your things. If you really feel that it’s unfair, let them know, and I promise they will do their best to meet you halfway to a point where you aren’t leaving unsatisfied. Just about almost every time (if not every time) they always give me a great deal on the items I pawn and i leave a happy customer with cold hard cash! And when the time comes where I have to either pay or surrender the items I’ve pawned, if you give them a call before that time, they will work with you and give you more time! Because they know that life happens and sometimes you need an extension on your pawned items!! Over all, these guys are great, and of all the times I’ve visited and done business with these guys, they always deliver. Really they gave me a great price on the loan and then gave me a great price on the controller that I purchased. My boyfriend and I were in a bind due to him starting a new job that was unexpected, so we had to pawn our MacBook which we were super hesitant and reluctant to do because we’ve always been wary of pawn shops (and it was brand new). We had no choice though so I hopped on Google and searched for the highest rated place I could find. I’m extremely picky on ratings/reviews so when I saw that this place had the rating it does, I said to jump on it and give it a try. My boyfriend is the one who went in and he came back out maybe 15-20 minutes later with a smile on his face. He said the people who work here are the most friendly folks ever. After we drove off, he could not stop raving about them and how nice of a process it was. He didn’t feel judged, belittled in any way, or embarrassed. And for that I’m beyond appreciative. I wanted to wait until we picked the laptop up to leave a review, and it is that this place is beyond generous and treats others like family. Our MacBook is in the condition we left it in which was my biggest concern so again, great job to them for actually caring! Bottom line- give them a chance. They’re awesome and trustworthy! Danielle one of the managers was amazing. She was polite,helpful, and fair. The business easy to access and there is plenty of parking. They also have a great selection of pistols and coins, gold and silver.

These guys are amazing. I just purchased a bow from them for a lower amount than they had it listed at. they were willing to negotiate and they brought their price down quite a bit for bet for someone who was willing To be honest about the value of a item that they had. It is wonderful to know that there are still people out there who are honest in their dealings in business.

This isn't our first time here and won't be thr last.. Came in to look at a bracelet and walked out with 3. The store was extremely busy and while I was deciding what I wanted, I did not feel rushed at all. Trevor was very patient as I tried them on and thought about what I was going to do. He helped others and came back to check on me. He made me a great deal that I could not pass up.

I am a bit newer to the area and I went online and saw BIG DOG pawn and jewelry had great reviews so I went specifically because of that and boy they did not disappoint!! Trent greeted me very kindly and proceeded to assist me the second I walked up to the front of the store. It felt very comfortable and homey, not like someone was trying to get up on me or gain a profit. He was incredibly helpful and when I told him what I felt my item was worth he worked with me and actually met me at my offer due to the fact it was Christmas time and I am a single mother. He wanted to help and truly cared about me as a human. He didn’t see me as a dollar sign which is the feeling I typically get at pawn shops. I HIGHLY recommend coming to this shop if you are not only looking to pawn or sell but also if you are looking to ship for yourself! They had some pretty neat items and everything was very clean and great quality! I lost certainly will be a return customer and look forward to giving them my future business! Honestly, the staff is normally really nice and welcoming when you walk in but today I see a new girl I've never seen before she was not welcoming at all she was straight business which could be okay but did not even smile and I truly just wanted to make the payment and get out of there. Hopefully my experience is better next time.

BDP is the best! They help people get through tough times and are very fair. They will work with you if you just call and communicate that you may need a few more days to make your payment. Best pawn shop I have dealt with. I took some jewelry in and wasn't sure what was even real or of any value, since I don't know much about jewelry. Most pawn shops, in my experience, have been quick to tell me they couldn't buy anything I had, & wouldn't even run the tests to see what was real &/or the quality of the metals. I came to unload my mountain of games, movies, game systems etc haha. There were all very patient, explained the whole process very clearly and gave reasoning behind each price or as to why they weren’t able to accept some items (too scratched, missing parts, etc). It’s one of the most pleasant excitement I’ve had at a pawn shop 🙂 and I can definitely see why they’ve won awards for being the best local pawn shop around in years past 😁.

I had a great experience at this shop. I called ahead of time with some questions and Danniele was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. When I got to this store they were very busy but Trent was right there to help. The workers here are all so helpful and work with you on trying to help you get what you ask for. Sometimes they will go out of their way to help you. It's the place I always go if I need a loan. Plus they have a lot of good prices on the items they have in their shop.

Four years I had an alcohol & drug addiction and i started pawning my picture disk collection and was going lose them ,me and my son in-law went in to the west Jordan location and talked to Scott and told him my situation ,at this time i was months late ,so Scott said he would work with me until I got out rehab and he did! I got out of rehab got a good job and have been clean and sober for 3 1/2 years!!! So thank you big dog pawn &Scott.

Big Dawg Pawn is great when you need help. I had an item in pawn for a loan that was pennies on the dollar ( my choice) To get this loan on a$10,000 gold/diamond ring and only borrow a few hundred dollars... There was a few months that I was late on my payment, and Big Dawg Pawn would of made a lot of money by taking my ring because of my past due bill, but they never did(they worked with me!!!) Thanks to their honest values, and moral ethic's I still have that ring with me today!!! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE, BIG DAWG HAS INTEGRITY!!!

Angela did an amazing job! Was quick , friendly and efficient. Had some unexpected things come up that put my family in a rough spot financially I took her some items and she was able to get me to where my rent was paid and I was able to come back in and get my possessions I didn't want to loose. Great place keeps my family fed. If you ever have a bad experience pawning something just loan it out instead. It's like 15. Percent and I have like 60 days to buy it back . Big dog is my go to pawn shop everytime I go there I find something interesting the employees are very nice and helpful. Scott is the owner and he has sold to me personally a couple time and has been great even giving me a discount on jewelry I recently purchased. I also had a problem with a chain breaking and he got it fixed for free and got it back to me in less than a week. Definitely recommend checking them out

Big dog is the best pawn by far. Let's face it. Sometimes you have things come up and you have to pawn something that's important to you. Or may be something you worked hard for. And you have to use it as leverage. The last thing you want is to get gouged even more by the pawnshops. Big dog has paid more by a long shot, And their loans are lower percentage rate by a long shot. That's significantly more money in your pocket. Go head and call around. You'll see. Big dog is worth it. Ask for Trevor, he will get you taken care of and you will agree, Big dog is the best.

Went in to browse and find some cool stuff and indeed they have LOTS and LOTS of really good inventory. A very helpful man named Austin kept us good company and this has got to be one of the best pawn shops in the valley

So I just went here for the first time, completely blown away. Huge selection of just about everything. I went just looking for video games, and they have dang near everything you can think of for like, Actually reasonable prices. Walked out with a huge set, got a good deal, and this is now on my list of places to always visit when I'm up here. Wish I could give more stars than just 5. Absolutely legendary.

Big dog pond is absolutely amazing the staff is always beyond helpful and kind I recently had to make a payment and was assisted by Trevor who is absolutely amazing super sweet and help me with any concerns that I had I recommend them not to mention they've got some pretty cool stuff in their shop!

These guys have won best pawn shop for the last three years, and there’s good reason for it. They’re payment system is intuitive. They don’t really do an interest-based system. It’s a lot better! They’re also super friendly, and they make the process painless!

Let me tell u what, I have been to a thousand pawn shops in my life and I have never had such a positive experience as I had at this pawn shop. They made me feel like I was a long time friend. I am transitioning between jobs at the moment and had to bring in my welding tools on loan to get me to my first pay period. They worked with me and got me what I needed with reasonable monthly payments. In fact the payments are so low that I think I can scrounge nickels and dimes off the ground all month and be able to pay the monthly payment. And they have such a wide variety of merchandise that I am gonna return for some collectors coins and drum equipment. If ur looking for a pawn shop that u can feel at home at and be treated fairly price wise for ur stuff, go to big dog and tell them Hutch sent ya. They give out free bumper stickers as well😛

Big Dog Pawn is the best pawn shop I've dealt with, all the staff are very professional and friendly and know their business. They take pride in their customers and are very considerate if there are ever any issues and work with their customers when needed. I would highly recommend them.

Went in to look at a gun that was posted online for 900 with three magazines. Turns out they lost or sold one of the magazines, fair enough. The magazines cost 50 dollars apiece at a minimum. I fairly asked for 50 dollars off, but they would only split the difference with me. Kind of a small thing to split hairs over, but to me its the principle of the matter. If you list something at a price, and then sell part of what you listed, you should discount the price to reflect the value and not try to haggle it back up. I understand that the gun market is really hot now and you can easily tell someone to pound sand instead of negotiating, but as someone who buys guns from pawn shops all over on a monthly basis it struck me as a really disingenuous move. I love the other Big Dog location on State and have bought several guns from them, but I doubt I will ever come back to this location. The service just isn't as good. Edit to respond to owner: I want to be clear, the issue isn't that your pictures were inaccurate. The issue is you sold part of what you were offering and didn't want to lower the price to account for that mistake. It comes off as dishonest. I know you don't have to because someone will come buy it even after you sell parts, but it still reeks of customer unfriendliness.

Big Dog Pawn is everything you would want from a pawn shop. Their store has good selection and it is very clean. The staff is absolutely incredible. So fast and friendly. I felt like family was helping me. Not only were their prices much better than their competitors, but they were willing to work with me on price. I ended up keeping one of my items to try to sell for more on my own and Scott sent me a picture he took of it because it made it look really great. I couldn't be happier and will never go anywhere else! Thank you guys for taking care of me.

I’ve been working with these people for nearly 10 years. They listen when you talk. I buy all of my tools here. My granddaughter had a heart problem 3 years ago. When I came in today Trevor asked if she was okay. Remarkable that he would care. You can know that they will treat you fairly. More than employees. REAL people!!

They have so much inventory that seems to rotate quickly. I never leave empty handed. One of the few pawn shops in the state to get high end pocket knives. As a collector I have picked up a few from them. Firearm prices are fair and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I always stop in when passing.
