Big Daddy's Jewelry and Pawn Larimer St, Denver

over the years since they opened until now, of all the many pawn shops in Denver, These guys have never offered me a fair price. it's basically %400 mark up instead of the usual 3, with %250 being the middle ground. This is what's happening when they offer you $200 for your $800 item. They're a rip off and the stuff they sell is overpriced. Never going there again.

Big Daddy’s is a friendly place where you can go to sell your stuff. The person I spoke with was very friendly, reasonable, and explained to me what they would need to buy the item for in order to turn a profit. There is no gimmicks and they won’t try to make you feel bad about your items, just truthful answers of what they are interested in and why. It’s the best pawn shop I’ve been too. A lot of great items in store as well, check it out for yourself.

Spent about 30 minutes looking for an engagement ring and found the perfect one! Great selection on diamond rings and other precious gems. Sapphire with 2 diamonds and white gold was $260! Had a lay away option as well. Very attentive employees and answered all of our (silly) questions. Very clean store and not at all intimidating like I thought pawn shops were. Highly recommend, these guys are awesome

I love this place! On Friday, I needed money very quickly for an emergency situation. I was hesitant to go to a pawnshop as I didn’t know what to expect because I’d never been to one before. I gotta say, they were so nice and welcoming that it put me at ease right away. They gave me a great price for my item, too! 😀😃

Tim and Tony are so nice, so helpful and so transparent. I will absolutely be back to purchase and to sell. If you want a fair chance at selling your jewelry, this place is well worth the drive!

Love these guys! I've only visited pawn shops to shop before but these are the first guys I've actually pawned stuff with. Completely painless and I felt like I got an extremely fair price for the electronics I was trading. I worked with three different people and all three were equally terrific! Will definitely be back. (Also they have two free parking spots that are usually open).

I cannot say enough good things about Tim and his people at Big Daddy's. They offer RIDICULOUSLY fair prices and when I went way past my loan I was still able to get my item back at a REALLY fair price. They are communicative and friendly, and I have never felt ashamed to have to pawn anything there, or judged in any way. I highly recommend them for all your selling or purchasing needs; they have a TON of really cool stuff to buy, too. :)

I have been doing business here for the last two years. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful and always willing to work with you on items that are brought in order to give the you the best deal possible on your loan. Although there are other pawn shops located in the immediate area, I would never change locations due to the professionalism and family like atmosphere that they provide not to mention the fact that they always take care of my items while they are in loan. Bought some jewelry about a year ago from them and had an issue with it when trying to get some work done on the item.. I thought it would be a fight to get my monies back, but NOPE Big Daddys was Awesome in exchanging the item for something better.

I had never seen in my life cheaters like this pawn shop I bought a drum machine from them for the church and i wanted to take it back because it was kind of small to the once the church wanted. But this guys said we can’t change or refund the money. What they wrote on the policy it’s a total lie . So be careful when going to this shop. They just want money no customer care . It’s a family business but be careful with the people you employ.

I wish I could recommend this shop, but I absolutely cannot. I have dealt with shops which charge late fee’s and practice good business techniques such as calling the customer before their items are forfeited. This is NOT one of those stores. They claim they sent a reminder card which I never received and they claimed they called on the due date, which they did, but at close of business so their was no chance of paying on-time with a reminder. I was in New York taking care of my father who had COVID and while I was there they sold all the items I had pawned 11 days after I was late. Had they called me, I could have sent someone down to pay the interest and late fee’s and they could have earned a multiple of what they got for my items. This shop is extremely predatory. They do not care about their customers. To directly quote the owner today “we only care about turning over the money”. That says everything. If you value your items and you need a shop that cares about you even a little, go some place else. Do not fall prey to the charismatic sales person telling you they want to help you out. That is a straight up lie. I regret ever walking through their door.

1st time in a pawn shop ever...it was a pleasant surprise! EVERYONE was respectful AND also very friendly—I felt very welcome and that they valued my business. They were upfront and fair about the value of some designer jewelry that I wasn’t wearing much AND have a variety of very nice diamond and gold items that they were able to recommend based on my style. Good value on nice items + zero pressure = two thumbs up! I would recommend you try this store before any others or if you’ve had a bad experience with other pawn shops. I will be returning!

I was down on my luck. I needed a loan to pay some bills. So I went to big daddy's pawn shop and they were able to help me out with a loan. Tim was very helpful and understanding. Big Daddy's Jewelry and Pawn shop is the first pawn shop I've ever been to, and frankly it's the last one. I had such a great experience the first time I went and their customer service has always exceeded my expectations. The staff is friendly and efficient and they are incredibly nice to my son when I bring him in which is a big A plus in my mommy book. The first time I went to Big Daddy's, the manager was kind enough to not only walk me out to my car, but also carry a big bin I had brought in. I walked out with way more cash than I was expecting to receive and a good feeling in my chest knowing that I had made the right decision to sell my jewelry with Big Daddy's Jewelry and Pawn. Their customer service is superb and the staff is highly professional. Amazing pawn experience! All the employees are very helpful, upbeat, and knowledgeable, the store is very well kept, and they're very upfront about prices/terms. Tim is a great owner, which adds to us wanting to go back. When we need extra cash in Denver or are looking for great deals on electronics my husband and I will always choose Big Daddy's.

This place is very awesome! Me and my sister were running short on our bills so we got a collateral loan on our laptops. They offered a higher price than the other pawn shops I called earlier. The process was fast and the service was very friendly. Everyone there is great!! Also it's flexible to pay the loan back. My husband and I were in a financial situation where we needed some cash quickly. Being new to the Denver area and never having to use a pawn shop, I looked up pawn shops and found Big Daddy's Jewelry and Pawn. We gathered together some items that we thought were of value (including our wedding rings) and proceeded to Big Daddy's. We were not sure what to expect once we walked in and were a bit nervous as we had never done this before. We were greeted by Tim, who explained the entire process to us. He carefully looked at all our jewelry and took his time to tell us what each piece was worth and why some jewelry has a more significant pawn value than others. He asked us how much we were looking to get, and he was able to make that happen. Tim made the entire process painless. If you ever need cash, I highly recommend Big Daddy's Jewelry and Pawn. They treat you as a person who has hit a rough patch and not someone who is just looking for a payout.
