First of all… I love love love this credit union. One of the atms didn’t work properly and copied my check twice and revoked it. Becu quickly took care of it. That’s literally the only issue I’ve ever had in three years with this credit union. The customer service is a win. The lady who helped me was amazing and sweet and understanding and handled it conveniently quick. I apreciate it cuz I really wanted to enjoy pride and now I can because I have my money returned quickly from a fraud claim and the check issue that happened. Within three days my money was returned to my account and the lady personally called me back to let me know it was returned. Win for becu. Thanks so much for finally being a trustworthy bank. I got screwed over by Wells Fargo

BECU rocks! Always helpful and courteous, mostly fee-free and better than any bank! If the review aggregator here shows anything below 4 5 stars, almost certainly, it's because of the rare disgruntled member who might have fallen through the cracks. I always get very helpful and friendly service when I have the need to come in. Whether it's getting a new card or help with some account settings or transfers. Today Asher helped me with a few minor issues and he was great, super helpful and nice.

Ugh! Where to begin. The only reason I went with BECU was to refinance my car at a great low interest rate, while at it I opened up a savings/checking and a CC. When it came time to make my first payment they would not accept my money! If you go to a branch they say they cant help you because they dont deal with payments. They had me go into a SALAL credit union to be able to make a payment. I am a frequent traveler and this is NOT acceptable! The atm wont take my debit card. I try to reach someone over the phone and it is just more problems after another. I cant fix one without encountering another. If it weren't for the great low intrest rate on my car loan, I would have left immediately. Do yourself a favor, go with soemone else if you're only trying to open a checking or savings account. I promise it is not worth the hassle.

Been with these guys for 18 years. Had nothing but good experiences until one day I ran out of money, and they cancelled both of my credit cards. Now, instead of getting paid back, they just get to eat about $6,000 worth of debt that I'm going to include in the bankruptcy they caused, because f*** you. Please note, you totally would have gotten your money, but you had to go and be jackasses. I hope it was worth it

I have had to return to this location 3 separate times (and that's not enough, there will be at least a 4th) because the unreasonably complex system they have that does nothing to disclose what I actually need. I am strongly considering abandoning my attempt at opening an business and personal account due to the sheer volume of my time being wasted. I had put a freeze on my credit 6mo ago that had since been removed. Despite this, I was denied and forced to call two separate agencies to have their own fraud alerts removed. When I presented my removal confirmation numbers, they said that even if the freeze was removed, I STILL had to present a social security card, which I don't have and will take days to mail. I'm most unhappy about the lack of communication involved, and feel as though I have been given the runaround for at least 3 attempts. Who knows how many more landmines are still hidden in the process, how many more attempts it will take? I'm not willing to find out, if there is one more roadblock the next time I come back, I'm totally out.

Not a great first experience. I opened an account to get a low interest car loan. It was cheaper than Toyota. That’s good. As part of that they opened a savings account for me. I transferred 1000 into the savings account on Monday. They’ve had the money since Tuesday, when my other bank releases it to them. It’s Saturday. I still don’t see the money in my account. The customer service person seems to think this is normal and ok. I explained to him they are not crediting me money they have received for me and he said it’s normal with new accounts and didn’t seem concerned at all. He kept taking about check fraud and them keeping my money as a way to mitigate it. I pointed out several times they already had my money so fraud could not be a factor in their decision to not credit my account my funds they have been holding for 4 plus days. This is not normal. It’s not ok. I am considering removing the money from my account a d stopping the direct deposit I set up to pay for my car as this bank seems to holding funds for a really long time, which is again not normal and not putting people first.

Love this credit union. The app works great and sorts out my spending into a pie chart so I can easily see where I’m spending too much. I have both debit and credit. Both work very well overseas from my experience. Capital hill is my favorite branch when I need to do more complicated transactions. They are always friendly and professional and wait times are short. I went to Boa one day waited 45 minutes they never even acknowledged me. Not a bank fan.

the staff here is great and very friendly. I've given 2 stars because of their online banking and their credit card options. The website is slow and the communication between accounts, checking and credit cards, and checking and mobile is cumbersome to set up. They also repeatedly messed up our business credit cards several times (printed the wrong name on our cards). They also don't offer escrow accounts. So, for very basic banking needs, I would recommend them. For complex financial situations or for businesses, I would suggest a well established (although evil) bank.

Great friendly staff very helpful really enjoy being with them only complaint is that the ATMs are frequently down or unable to process via the touchscreen which can be frustrating and the ATM area is closed as of 11 p.m. I believe every night because that is when the gym upstairs closes ultimately I highly recommend them
