In an effort to simply do a friend who is a BECU member a favor, I went in to this branch to deposit a business check written out to them. After checking-in and waiting for all of 20 seconds, I was greeted by an employee. After letting them know my only business there was to deposit the check into my friend's account, they informed me that isn't possible but that they could mail it to another facility and they could take care of it. Okay, that makes little sense technically and pragmatically to both do that and tell me about it... just take care of the deposit, no one cares how it happens really. Assuming I don't really need to do much else at this point, I follow them to a little counter near the entrance/exit and we pause for a moment as the employee fills out what I assumed was a deposit slip. "Is this their account number?" they ask me, pointing to the bottom of the check. Shocked and a little confused, I let them know that, no, that's the account number of the check writer, the business. How does this employee not know this fact about checks? "Do you have their account number?" they then ask. No, and why would I need that, I think to myself, you've got it under her name. "We can't access anyone's account info unless they're here in person." I'm sorry what? I'm simply trying to deposit a business check into their account. Does BECU even want their member's money? I took the check and left... what just happened? Are all credit unions like this? You used to be able to walk into a bank and deposit a check written out to one of that bank's customers/members. Why in the world would that ever be an issue?

Have not been staffed in 18 months. Come on !!! This is essentially an internet bank without the 0.50% interest on your savings. Cash machines have always only handed out 20 or 100's. Try to pay for a bus ride with a $20 With no staff and near zero interest they should really be profitable Moved most of my Monet to ALLY BANK. Bill payer program is good but chase also has that and staff to give you coins and 1's and 5's etc

Went in not knowing how to go about opening a new account, and felt at ease as soon as Stephanie started helping me. I felt at home, and she was very helpful, genuine, and personable. The other clerks and her manager came over, too, at some point, and added to the sense of a supportive community I was getting. I'm definitely in the right place here.

They closed all my accounts and stole what I had in savings due to inactivity. Don't use this bank they are no better than BoA or Chase.

I had the best experience at this BECU! My mom and I stumbled into this location and we are glad we did, because we met Zee F. Zee helped us transfer funds, change an address and renew ATM cards while we talked about Andrea Bocelli, traveling, and food. It seemed like Zee was genuinely interested in my mother and me. Not only did Zee offer excellent customer service, but other BECU employees were kind and acknowledged us right away. We felt welcomed there. I highly recommend going to this location and meeting Zee!! She is the absolute best and super knowledgable.

I actually haven’t been to a BECU branch for several years, but I was impressed with the service at the West Seattle branch. It is located on the ground level of an apartment building and there is a parking level dedicated to retail parking which is convenient. The branch is relatively new and the check-in system is nice, even nicer was not needing to check-in because someone was available to help. The lady helping me was very friendly and patient. I did not have some information and needed to make a phone call but it wasn’t a problem for her. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been to a BECU location recently, but I appreciated that she pulled out the chair before I sat in it. It was a nice touch. In the end, the transaction went smoothly and I was on my way.

Great location and great people. I visited this branch last month and I met Zoo Fogle. She beat all my expectation of banking services. Kudos to Zee. Keep up the good work.
