Barksdale Federal Credit Union Mansfield Rd, Shreveport

Definitely do Not recommend. Was a member for over 20 years and they lost me over a $15 wire transfer that they didn't do right. Tried to charge me to do it again. Going to go to a bank where they actually take care of their members. Should have never stayed with them so long...

This is the slowest BFCU branch that I go to. Its the closest branch to my house. I always give it a try. However they are incredibly slow here. I drive to any other branch miles away and 99% of the time driving time included my transactions are handled in a more efficient manor even when other branches are more crowded. It's almost as if this place gets paid per hour for each person that is in the bank.

This goes for Barksdale CU as a WHOLE! Everyone seemed like it was the first day at the job. One lady I couldn’t even understand. And all I wanted to do was pay my loan! They sent me to 3 DIFFERENT people and still couldnt get help! I will never use them, and I will tell ALL my military buddies to use a small local CU instead of this garbage.

Been a customer 5 days closing my account later today. Bad customer service. Stay away from these people.

They are always there to give me very good customer service an I never have to wait long to see a banker or teller,, I plan to keep my account with them for the good customer service I get.,,

I went to the location on East 70th on Friday (when everyone is trying to get checks deposited for the weekend) and was told that the system was glitchy and I would have to go to a different location to finish my business. I drove to the Mansfield Rd. location and, when I waited my turn at the teller desk, she curtly informed me that I would have to "wait until called, like the sign says." I don't have a problem giving time to finish a transaction, but I do have a problem with rudeness and possible racism. The sign suggests waiting for the next available teller, which is exactly what I had done. This isn't New York, so don't talk to a patron like a Yankee. The teller's name is Shy, but she isn't shy at all! Tori did a great job mopping up Shy's mess, as did Annette. Unfortunately, the manager didn't want to speak about the customer service and communications issues at her branch, opting instead to hide from me and having a banker take a message promising to get back to me. Overall, some good people getting overshadowed by some drama!

The monthly fees at this establishment is highway robbery, simply ridiculous!! Left there and went to GBT and there's no fees what so ever!

Nice people for the most part, very efficient and precise. They're very empathetic, family oriented, and friendly.

Great credit union, never have any issues with this or other branches.
