I worked for Banner Bank for 6 years and even after moving on to other career industries they still treat me like family. I’ve had amazing customer service experience. I understand people’s frustration with bank policies and deposit availability questions and overdraft fees, late payment fees etc. I encourage everyone to get more educated on how their bank accounts work and have a meeting with their banker or bank manager on how things function. Cash deposits always available right away. Out of the ordinary check deposits (larger than usual) will get put on hold so they ensure you collect the money. Payday loans checks etc will always be put on hold so please don’t expect to have them cash it out when your bank balance is lower than the check. If you desperately need cash for the check go to the bank that is drawn from you may pay a small fee but it’s better than not having the money at all. Overall Banner Bank has given us great service.

I have been a customer for many years. I have never had a problem until recently. I hope they strive for better communication and customer service. After 4 years of never missing a credit card payment. They decided to cancel me when I missed one payment. Some lady from the Spokane Branch called me and demanded payment. I let her know I was out of town and could transfer funds into the bank account from another account. She told me that would not work I needed to bring cash into the branch. I told her I wouldn’t be able to because I was out of state. She called me the day I got back into town and I answered letter her know I was making payment. I was literally sitting in the bank parking lot at my local branch Waiting for the branch manager to come back and assured her I would be getting that payment taken care of that day and to please not call me as I’m working with my local branch. She said yep, I’ll call you everyday until it’s paid in a nasty tone and hung up on me. I walked into my local branch and the branch manager was on the phone with the lady who was on the phone with me proceeded to cancel my credit card. AFTER 4 YEARS OF NEVER MISSING A PAYMENT. They said they could try to reissue my card after they canceled but the damage is already done. Absolutely appalled with their customer service. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM. I will be closing all of my accounts and proceeding with my second bank as my first choice. I have never wrote a bad review but I cannot tell you how frustrated and disappointed I am with Banner Bank.

Really appreciate you guys sending junk mail that looks like checks during the middle of a pandemic. No wonder why people hate banks

When my credit union refused to take my deposit from a settlement, Banner Bank was happy to open my account. They helped me choose the best account options for my needs and have been right there helping me rebuild my life after being widowed. Yay Banner Bank!!

They're pretty good IMO. They have some things to work on with respect to customer service, but don't all banks? I think they try and that what counts in my book.
