Bank of the San Juans Main Ave, Durango

Wonderful bank and commercial loan support. So glad I was able to find a local bank to help me with my banking needs.

This is by far the worst “local” bank around. The branch manager I think his name is Jimmy at the north main location is rude, disrespectful, and surly overpaid. He has a tendency to lose his temper. I approached this location to fix an error from a statement I received, this guy is useless I had a bank fee posted incorrectly and this guys reaction is to immediately go on the offensive. He refuses to listen to the problem, and recites bank policy. No ones perfect, the bank makes mistakes, but I closed several accounts of mine just so I wouldn’t have to deal with this guy anymore. Oh and the bank is no longer local, it is owned by a big conglomerate based out of Montana. Hopefully you will reconsider ever letting this bank holding your money. The banks make millions in fees every year, from the privilege of holding our money. You expect to be treated like a human, but this place only sees you as an account number and your balance is how high or low they think of you. It is a disgrace that this guy still has a job of authority when he is not capable of seeing both sides of a situation and clearly has anger issues.

This bank is always busy and slow, Im sitting here now three cars deep in line wishing I would have chosen the bank across the street that has no one at the drive up.

They have cookies every Friday + loli-pops everyday that they are open

Care and Kindness is who they are ! They clearly love what they do and always do their best !

This has been the worst bank I have ever been with. I was a brand new customer I had thought I had signed up for notifications since i gave both my email and phone number. Ended up getting an overdraft was calling to figure out what was going on , was told to come in or make an appointment. Attempted to come in/ make in appointment was given a number to call which didnt answer , left my name and number to be called back and while waiting to be called back got more fees when i finally got called back was told they wont take care of the original fees ( which is fine my bad there) but that they would only take off a few of the other fees that accrued while i was waiting for a callback from them . Worst bank ever . Would leave 0 stars if possible.

This bank is nothing but a corporate cesspool. The employees are absolutely worthless. I'm sorry I've banked here for six years. Do not recommend to anyone. Especially if you're an average working joe like myself.

Great hometown bank with super friendly and capable people. Always a pleasure dealing with them.

These folks don't answer their phones and worse, don't return voicemails. I tried three times too. What a waste of my time.
