    I just had a really horrible experience while in line inside this branch. First of all I normally go to the window but it was closed on this day. They have two entrances front and back of the building. I had to use the atm first so I entered through the front door. It’s very confusing where the line starts due to no signage inside whatsoever. So I stood where I figured was the start of the line since It was basically me and one guy at the teller. A woman entered from the back door and walked behind me. When it was my turn the teller called me over and out of nowhere a male employee behind the desk shouts out extremely loud and angry… ACTUALLY SIR SHE WAS FIRST!!!!! Pointing to the women behind me. I said oh I’m sorry to the woman and insisted she go before me. She declined and said no I think you were first actually. You think that would end the confusion but no. The male employee kept insisting she go ahead of me in a very threatening tone. I’m sorry but there is a more professional way of dealing with this kind of situation then making a customer feel like a bad person in front of everybody.

    Absolutely the WORST> It takes hours waiting for someone to answer the phone and after you've waited and pressed 4 over and over and over again, it disconnects you. Its happened several times. Ridiculous.

    The Indian (or some similar international descent) woman I dealt with was quite rude in the strangest ways. Seemingly perturbed by my requests for assistance with my account, she begrudgingly assisted me and seemed only interested in getting the issue away from her as quickly as possible. I work in sales and understand the sometimes unnecessary brow-beatings that those in customer service have to take from those they deal with on a daily basis, and therefore do my best to be courteous to those who work in this type of job. That said, I was quite disappointed and offended by the way the interaction happened. I understand everyone has a bad day and sometimes you do not like the people you encounter, but being so obviously miffed about simple requests--asked in a tone without condescension or negativity--is just plain bad customer service.

    I had a wild experience at this bank: I made an appointment to explore the possibility of moving seven different accounts from a competing bank. The "relationship banker," Jeremiah was "unable" to waive electronic transfer fees--the one sticking point we found--and allowed my business and me to walk out the door with the parting words "not every bank is right for everybody at every time." WOW!

    Made an appointment which started on time and the service was professional and personable. Jo and Jon the branch manager were knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely a positive experience.

    Worst customer service I have ever received from any company. Period. I was scheduled for a half an hour appointment to open a bank account that lasted 1:45 because they kept on having to reopen my account because they had messed up. Even though I was there much longer than I should have been, the Old Saybrook Bank of America never remedied the issue and I received the wrong card with the wrong name in the mail-Go to any other bank except for the Old Saybrook Bank of America! It was horrible!!

    During the pandemic when only providing drive thru services, they have only opened one lane for everyone to do banking. Makes no sense
