Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Reviews

Bank of America has no customer service. Many closed branches, some open branches have closed drive up tellers. At this branch the branch manager parks their nice new white Audi SUV in under the closed drive up overhang to keep it in site and out of the weather. Reduced hours opening at 9AM and closing at 4PM. Only one teller window open at 11:00am on Monday 03-14-2022. Manager out at lunch and a line out the door. Teller was unable to help with my urgent issue and offered to make an appointment for me another day... Banks are supposed to be professional organizations. What happened?

    Response from the owner

Had to drive 30 mins after trying 2 other locations actually NEAR me that apparently are "temporarily closed". Cashed and deposited a savings bond, have the receipt, saw it in my online banking, now all of a sudden its missing. The 800# has 0 record of it... I was a bank teller for 4 years. People got FIRED for this. Meanwhile 2 tellers are on and only 1 even knew how to process a SAVINGS BOND. WHAT?! Meanwhile employees were literally standing around talking and holding tablets... No drive up service. Closing my account once this is resolved. BOA operations are criminal. As EVIDENCED by the class action suit they paid out pennies on.

First, please note that this review reflects upon this branch and not the bank as a whole. The bank itself deserves 1 star because they don't care about their customers (or employees for that matter) in the slightest. It's the bank for masochists. With that being said, the employee who helped me at this location was kind, respectful, and clearly had good intentions in wanting to help me with my issue. However the bank's own policies prevented him from doing so, which is unfortunate. My advice: find literally any other bank to work with. If that's not an option, just show up in person at a branch so they can't ignore you. Don't waste your time on the phone, it'll only end in frustration. Edit: I'll give credit where it's due, BOA did reach out to help resolve my issue which is a step in the right direction and is appreciated. I ended up resolving the issue (a claim) on my own online despite being told by the branch that I could only do this over the phone.

November 2019, I deposited a couple hundreds Cash to my niece account, no problem! I tried to deposit some Cash to my niece account again today. Teller told me they do not take cash, only money orders or checks. The teller said they have not taken cash deposit for more than 1.5 year ago. Apparently, I make a cash deposit 2 months ago, It was fine. What was the problems? The bank? The branch Or the teller? Hopefully they know that they make things inconvenience for their customers!

Went to cash a Bank of America check today (4-8-22) and was told they couldn’t cash a check larger than $2999.

    Response from the owner

Hi Victor. Bank of America has general check cashing guidelines for non-customers. Ways to avoid the fee include receiving payment electronically, having a relationship with us or using your current bank. ^marty

atm was briken had to go inside to get cash no problem. Park and walk past the armed guard standing right in front of the door?? okay..cool. wait 5 minutes to get helped by the teller First thing she says, "sir can you please remove your sunglasses?? " actually they are prescription and i cant see without them but then i remembered about the unfortunate incident with the "Black Panther" director at another branch and quickly removed my glasses so the armed guard and/or police were notified of me trying to remove money from my own account!!!

    Response from the owner

Extremely unprofessional. What bank asks you how much your withdrawing while waiting in line with customers all around you. Then I finally get up to the teller, withdraw 5k and ask for it to be put into a money envelope so everyone in line doesn't see I'm withdrawing a large amount and am told they are on the counter and have to proceed to put all the money into three separate envelopes while everyone in line watches.

    Response from the owner

Absolutely awful branch. No tellers working but as I walked in 4 people at the podium laughing and having a great time as only 1 teller in line. Waited 15 minutes in line as teller was having a hard time finding a person's account. As I'm waiting at least 4-5 other people get into line.....at this point someone should have jumped on the line to help. THAT is called customer service.

    Response from the owner
