Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM) Reviews

I just walked in to open a bank account and less than 15 minutes I was attended. I had all the required documents and the staff were friendly there. I was given all the attention during the process and was helped all the way through to open the account.
Hello Muhammet. We're happy to hear that your recent financial center experience was seamless. Thank you for the review and choosing Bank of America. ^tasha

If I could give zero stars.... According to the person that greeted me at the door, the branch has an official policy that they do not answer the phones, ever -- come in or call 800 number. The Covid pandemic gave BofA the opportunity to limit hours and now they are only open after we all go to work and close before we get off, even on Friday. They have been understaffed at every lunch time I have gone to do business. It took over an hour to order business checks incorrectly. The drive-through has not been open for years. The ATMs work as well as most, but do not reliably accept checks for deposit and occasionally will not accept currency. As a business customer, I am very disappointed in the horrendous lack of customer service. There is only one staffed branch in town and it is this one. Given that this branch is directly across the street from a D1 University with 100K students, local management or corporate seems to think we are all college students that don't rate the courtesy to provide service.
Hi, Christopher. We apologize for any inconvenience. Some locations may either be temporarily closed or operating at limited hours. They made the mistake based on their system error and the staff mistake. And the customer need to be there several times to handle. They were very rude and yelling at me on the phone

Drive through is closed Forcing you to go inside. Parked in front there was a note on the door forcing you to go to the back. Very inconvenient especially with Covid at a all time high. Im was considering moving my bank now im not.

Never saw more than two tellers working or less than ten people waiting in line for service. After putting up with that for almost five years, I finally closed my accounts and went to a different bank that knows how to treat their customers. This BofA location is only a bad memory now.

As the drive through has been shut down permanently, as I found out today, people must go inside for service. Lately, because of the type of business transactions I needed to make, I could not use the atm, as was suggested to me today. The time was 2:55 p.m., one teller, and a line of about 15 people. The manager, Naomi, was asked by one of the customers if they could place another teller to help on the wait. She rudely explained that other employees had other obligations and we would have to wait. Never smiled, never seemed concerned that there were people in line doing commercial business along with folks like me that just wanted to cash a check that was from a business. My issue is that there did not seem to be a concern from the management end that people had been in line for 30 minutes. Yes, it took 30 minutes to cash a small check. One teller! I felt really sorry for her. Naomi, the manager, finally came (with a scowl on her face) and worked in the teller position. I had the pleasure of working with her. Not customer friendly at all. I have noticed her before walking around, never smiling. I don't think she likes her job. At least that is the portrait she paints. They should have at least 2 tellers there, one to work with commercial customers like they had in the drive-through. I am frustrated. If Bank of America was not all over the place, it makes it convenient when traveling, just because of this bank in College Station, I would move my money to one of the local banks where I have visited with family and they are friendlier. They act like they want your business. This bank does not give a good reputation to the College Station community. Just think of all the visitors we have from out of state now. Bank of America, you need to step up your game. The reviews from the past are not good either. Wondering if you read these? Are you so big that you don't think customer service is important?

Awful customer service and managers need to have customer service training. The entire staff looked unhappy and I’m sure it’s from working with him. Take your business to any other corporate bank. Plus, BOA has terrible communication when it comes to policy changes/updates.

Waiting time for a simple teller operation too long. Multiple employees walking around, but only one teller working and 7-8 clients waiting.

I visit this location every few months. I have no idea where some of these reviews are coming from saying they're so friendly, much less that they learn your name. Ha. I try to kill-them-with-kindness every time, but have hardly ever gotten even a half smile. No one that works there is happy to be there - and it shows. At best, you do what you came to do helped by an unfriendly teller. At worst, they make you jump through hoops to manage an account you've had for 15 years. They simply don't care whether or not you're happy. And why would they? It's not like their staying in business depends on personal accounts, and they're well aware of that.

I am CONSTANTLY calling, no answer. I have sent MULTIPLE messages via email, voicemail, and tried setting up phone meetings (through their personal page) with their business account manager, Perla. She has yet to call me back on all 3 occasions. There is a reason this location has two stars.

As others have said, the service would have to improve significantly just to reach the level of totally unacceptable. The drive thru is basically an abandoned building which apparently will never re-open. The only reason I have for doing business there is that they hold my home mortgage. Regardless of what type of business one needs to do, mortgage, credit card or general banking, BOA can't seem to do anything right. Always check your receipt after any transaction. If they make a mistake it's always YOUR fault and will take weeks or months to correct, if that ever actually happens.

Being the only Bank of America in the Bryan/ College Station area does mean the volume could get a little high at peak times. But just cause this had to be the bank to go to, doesn't mean it was ever an unpleasant experience. The tellers know you by name and they have all the services you would need including Merrill Lynch and Home Loans.
