Bank of America Financial Center Reviews

The staff at this branch were very friendly. The front desk Gentleman, Melody, Carlen and Wei were all very pleasant and helpful. While processing my account, an issue occurred and there was a glitch. All four staff helped in trying to figure out what was wrong and after some time, they resolved the issue. I don't give reviews, but they needed to be commended for their professionalism and great service today.

    Response from the owner

This branch has really rude and unkind customer service. I had a terrible, short of service from the young asian lady at the counter. She should not work with customers if unkind is her forte. I came in to cash a BofA check, waited and 'til my turn, the counter lady serviced me and told me to sit and wait. Lucky, while waiting, a young gentleman asked me if I'm being helped and I told him what I'm there for. He mentioned that there will be an $8 fee for cashing a check if I'm not a BofA member, which I'm not. Had counter lady told me that, I'd thanked her and went ahead to my Wells Fargo ATM half a block down 7th avenue and just deposit it. I just wanted a quicker cash out, hence I went into the BofA bank. Waste of my 7 mins sitting in the chair for nothing, but could have prevented had the lady told me while servicing me, asking for and knowing I'm not a member. And, my mother also had issues here, just with bad service. She is a member.

This might be one of the slowest B of A offices around. The remodel made it look nicer, but it didn't improve efficiency. There is rarely more than one teller, especially during lunch (once, fortunately before I stood in line I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. I appreciated that, but I didn't do the transaction I needed.

I brought in crumbled 3 one-hundred dollar bills to exchange for newer ones only to be told that they are perfectly fine and they are all the same. After I waited about 15 mins while 2 clerks were helping just 2 customers in front of me. Very slow and extremely unprofessional. Just so you guys know, in some countries they don't exchange dollars for the same rate if they are slightly crumbled or written on. There is a reason customer asks you to do something, so if you don't know, just don't say anything better. Will go to my home Chase bank, way better service

    Response from the owner

The worst B o A branch I’ve ever been to. Unhelpful and uninformed staff. After the associate I spoke to told me the bank wouldn’t be able to help me I immediately called the branch in the Sunset, explained my situation and they were able to help and set up an appointment for me to come in. If you need anything beyond basic banking services, I would not go to this branch and would not trust the advice they give you here.

This place, and maybe B of A as a whole doesn’t deserve your business. One teller for a 10+ person line and they refuse to count already sorted cash for me. Aren’t you the bank taking MY money? Seems like a branch problem. Sorry to inconvenience you.

One of the most inefficient banks I've been to in years. the branch manager (who spoke way to fast and made me feel so anxious) made me make an appointment to sign papers for an account a week after I visited him. I had to reschedule the appointment and could not find a way to get thru to anyone at the bank. The business cards don't include direct access to people...just to let you know their names. The branch manager's direct line is actually a line that tells me not to leave a vm and to call the 800 number. There are no emails to contact the person I was working with, the local number on the website has been busy the 3 times I called and wouldn't let me leave a message and disconnected me, the 1800 number I called can't get me thru either because I don't have an account yet. The experience feels like a bad dream and wasted my time.

A few ppl in the office side usually ONLY one teller! Should have minimum of two tellers at all times especially peak times. Always lines. Minimum 15-25min wait times. Crazy!
