Bank of America Financial Center Reviews
I
I have been an exclusive BOFA client since 2005. There are very kind if you want to open an account or buy a service from them, but customer service is terrible for anything else. Specifically, they closed my local branch. I called to inquire for a location with available boxes, but was informed that the only way to find out was going to a branch in person to inquire. I went this morning, they did not care much about my request, and told me to contact every branch around me individually. Two hours after, I had an account an box with a new local bank.
Hi Isabel. We appreciate that you took the time to tell us this, even though you were disappointed with our service for a safe deposit box. If you need further assistance, please reach out to a member of our Social Media Client Care team on Twitter at https://twitter.com/BofA_Help or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BankofAmerica. Look for the blue verified checkmark before communicating with a #BOA profile. ^susan

Buyer beware- run far and fast from this institution. Consistently unfriendly, reluctantly helpful, and 'used-car-salesman' style sales approaches to try to sell me their credit products after they've had a chance to pull my account information. This bank nickels and dimes their customers for everything. I've banked with BofA for a few years but after the most recent $15 fee that was assessed to my account after receiving a wire transfer from a domestic bank has thrown me over the edge. BofA's unwillingness to waive such an egregious fee or to provide a goodwill credit for this circumstance has me spending the next ~5 hours switching all of my account information on file with credit card companies, etc over to competitors. For anyone looking for competency in their customer service and a bank that doesn't milk their customers for every possible fee, I recommend Charles Schwab bank for checking products and Marcus by Goldman Sachs for savings products.

I wish I could give this location a minus 100 to the 10th power!!!! The laziest manager I've ever seen at any establishment. Hector is too busy walking around and stretching to be of any use for anything or anyone at all besides himself. I sat in the waiting area waiting for him, as I was instructed to do. He waltzes in, sees me sitting there, and keeps on walking to hang out with the tellers. He didn't say one word. Address the people in your lobby like all other banks do!!!! Customer service at this location SUCKS!!!!! No one is there to greet you at all. I walked around asking for assistance. I'd rather go to the branch near my house, 1 hour away, than to walk 5 mins and return to this location

Consistently the longest wait time of any bank I've ever visited. Only ever one teller working. Today took over 25 minutes to get simple change.

I needed to deposit a check via teller, not atm, but they continued to be closed. Will change rating once they open up again.

Worst Bank of America I’ve ever been to. 2017-2018 their leadership must’ve changed or they experienced a large turnover because the customer service is absolutely abysmal. To add insult to injury, there’s several inch thick bullet proof glass at the teller station to make you feel like a zoo animal. Only one teller is actually taking customers while 2-3 men in suits laugh and frolic in the lobby. Every time I visit the branch, it takes more and more time to have checks made, and lately they’ve been requiring “overrides”. I’ve had it with this branch, especially as a preferred member, and am researching other banks to switch to.

Super helpful financial centre; I'm an exchange student so I wasn't too sure on my rights in opening a temporary bank account, but I was able to get everything sorted quickly and efficiently. The manager there Phatcharin Nichols helped me with exceptional grace, friendliness and efficiency, as well as answered all of my questions no matter how trivial. Definitely recommend her and the branch as a whole! Fantastic service

I needed a Signature Guarantee on a financial form and the branch gave me all sorts of excuses not to want to do it. They told me that they would only do Medallion Signature Guarantee but not Signature Guarantee. But couldn’t do it because my form didn’t specify for Medallion Guarantee. I later found out from other financial institutions (Vanguard and Fidelity) as well as from researching on the internet that they are the same thing. It turned out to be just another one of their lame and uninformed excuses. Even the branch manager (Hector) was of no help other than saying no. This is a horrible way to treat their own customers. Extremely disappointed.

Worst Bank of America I've ever been to. Had an appointment booked. There was no one greeting customers and people were just sitting around at the sofa area waiting to be directed to a room. The person I had an appointment also arrived late.
