One of the rudest experiences I have ever had, felt like I had done something wrong just by walking in the door. I believe to make matters worse, the rude individual I dealt with was the owner.

They made several mistakes on the closing documents. I corrected them and asked them to provide correct copies on the closing day. This company was very stubborn. I finally said I will change the closing company. They promised to correct. You know what happened? They left one document not changed and covered it very well. This file went to Wood county and led to a lot of nightmares. The deed was not delivered correctly. The property tax bill went to nowhere. Finally, my buyer agent figured it out, but I have to pay the interest. The property address is 500 5th Ave, Marshfield Wi 54449. The closing date was March 1, 2021. The closing staff was Cheryl Schwantes. Not reliable company.

Given the small town location and the generally friendly atmosphere of Marshfield, the level of rudeness POURED into my wife and I by the owner of Badger Title (Cheryl?) was startling. They got the job done, but she sneared at us, talked down to us, and gave an angry lecture when I asked if they knew how we got the keys to our new house, as the seller was not there. A simple "Please ask your realtor" would have sufficed, but we got a LOUD speech about what their responsibilities were and, more to the point, where those responsibilities ended. It was so out of the blue, the experience was quite bizarre. I will drive to Wausau and use a different company next time, just to avoid supporting a gal who so resents her own customers.
