Atlantic Union Bank Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach

I wanted to share about my experience at Hilltop Branch location. I’m now taking care of my 87 year old mother finances which can be very stressful. The staff very helpful in helping me through things. Very kind and happy environment to walk into. I would highly recommend this crew.

The ladies at AUB Hilltop always great me with a giant smile and are so helpful anytime I need them! :) Thank you for all your hard work with all the lines Ive seen in there lately you still take care of us with a smile!

Opened a personal account several months ago with 0 issues, so I decided to open a business account. That's when the problems started. It took 3 weeks from the day I was told my business credit/debit card was on the way for it to actually arrive. When I opened the envelope, there was an insert explaining that my temporary pin was arriving in another envelope. 2.5 weeks later, still no temp pin. So then I called the local bank and spoke to a representative and explained the situation. I left them all my information and was reassured that they were having the business/ account rep call me back as soon as they were done on the phone. It was a week, then I called back again, to get told again that they would have them call back. I've sent email's, left messages and have gotten nothing. They had no problem opening my account and taking my money. But service, sub par by alot. I was told once I did get a pin, that I had to go to one of their 🏧 to activate the card , so now, one I get a pin, I'm going to have to drive an hour either direction to activate my card because apparently it's I m possible for them to give me a pin or set anything up on the phone or digitally. But hey, as a business owner, working 6am-9pm everyday, it's almost impossible for me to take 2 hrs to go to an atm, much less find time to go by the branch again. This is ridiculous! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I've been banking with this company for 10 years when it was called Bank of Hampton Roads. I cannot rave more about this company. They have incredible rates of CD's and they have made every merge very smoothly. The company is great, and you won't regret it.

The worst experience I've ever had with a bank in all of my life. I walked in to get a cashiers check, and they said I would need to have an account. I explained that I had just submitted an application for an personal account, the bank manager on shift 06/22/2022 explained to me that she wouldn't open my account if I only wanted it to get a cashiers check , and I explained to her that I could in fact use the account on a regular basis. She switched the narrative then informing me that she doesn't has time to open my account or go over the online submitted application. She also asked me repeatedly who I banked with and personal questions such as why I don't have an account, all the while giving side eyes to her co workers. I've never been one to play the race card but this bank is extremely unfair towards people of color. I would not give that bank a star at all. The secretary denied my checking account opening and I was upset because she laughed right in my face. I should have kept my cool but the other bank clerk told me to calm down as I stormed out the door. I would never go back to Atlantic union bank ever again after this horrible experience. They lost me for a good customer.

The worse bank ever!! Especially, this Laskin road location. Courtney is rude!

OMG .....this is almost criminal what they do at this bank, they make errors after errors and lie about it all

Business banker was very rude, did not know how to validate an EIN. She was asking for documents from irs that the IRS no longer issue. Went to this banked on a personal recommendation from a member of my business group ..... to be told by the banker you should just bank elsewhere. I’m sure she didn’t like me because I’m foreign.
