Started strong but has gone down hill after first manager left 4 months in. After 1.5 years we have not had a manager stay longer then 4 months. Getting projects done has been an issue. Follow through has been poor due to turn over and the break down in Associa internal communications during these abrupt hand offs between managers. I am the president of the HOA and have not had access to our AP system to approve bills in about 2 months. I hate leaving poor reviews but I am a property manager myself and can not allow this performance to go on with out leaving a review.

This review is for Jackie McKee who has been professional in her approach and responds in a timely manner. We recently opened up the pool for the community. Given there are kids and some adults who are not vaccinated, I expressed some concern and provided a recommendation. Jackie responded immediately and mentioned she will speak to the Board and get back to me. Soon we had a Board meeting and what was discussed and agreed Jackie immediately took action. Thank you!

Jackie McKee is awesome! She has helped to clear up the homeless issues that have persisted for so long. She is very professional and responsive. She has a sense of urgency and I can rely on her services knowing that things are addressed in a timely manner. It is great to have her as our HOA manager.

It's been wonderful having Tanya Morgan as our HOA management representative. She is patient, kind and compassionate. Her assistant Tyler Fox has been very helpful. Tyler was responsive and eager to help when we needed a third party to complete a request for us. He even picked up the phone instead of just communicating via email. :)

I have to say my experience has been nothing but fantastic with Associa Northern California. I have the pleasure working with Mariam Polklong at Associa, as a Plumbing Company, we are called to respond to plumbing issues on a regular basis, Mariam and her team are always available when we may have questions or concerns we need to direction from the management company. If I can't reach them by phone, as soon as I leave a message I get a call back, but more importantly, as soon as I leave a message, Mariam, rest assured is in the background working on resolving the matter immediately. She has always taken the extra step, assisted me with my job an also helped me with learning the HOA's expectations and how to best communicate with all parties to ensure a positive outcome. I really can not say enough great things about her, she really is a fantastic person to work with and it is very clear that the HOA's she works with are her pride and joy. Jackie McKee has been very responsive and sympathetic to HOA/ property management needs I've encountered. Over the course of two years, these needs range include plumbing, electrical, termites, and black ants. Jackie responds with a sense of urgency appropriate to the need and dispatches help in a timely manner. Really, that is all I can ask for and am very pleased to endorse Jackie for her stand-out help!

I am the president of our HOA here at the Willow Glen MiCasa Condominiums in San Jose. I have been working with a few different contacts at Associa over the past few years. Mariam Poklong is my latest Mgr and is truly the best that I have worked with so far. I have to say that all have been awesome and professional but Mariam has been with us the longest and has become our friend. She is always responsive and gets our projects done on time and efficiently. Mariam also runs our board meetings and without her I don't know what we would do. I can speak for our entire board and owners that Mariam is a blessing to have on our side. Mariam is also the reason that I have stayed on as our board president. I recently had the opportunity to work with Mariam Poklong on an account where their insurance was being cancelled. This could be a daunting task to find alternative coverage. The outgoing insurance agency didn’t give the association much notice. Mariam was very prompt in providing the necessary information to replace coverage in short time frame. Great teamwork.

I'm startled to see so many positive reviews for Associa, however, these reviews do appear to be older. My experience in the last year and a half with Associa has been less than stellar. Before moving to East Garrison I believed no HOA out there could be any worse than the one where I was living at the time. Long story short, we currently pay $125 a month to be ignored, receive parking citations and listen to leaf blowers and I miss my previous HOA. Long story long, like a previous reviewer mentioned "we pay $125 a month and see nothing for it aside from a parking patrol that no one wants and doesn't even cite vehicles correctly and in accordance with our CCRs" and this still holds true. The previous reviewer also mentioned that they are unresponsive to emails and phone calls and that the best way to get a hold of someone is through the Town Square app. Unfortunately, they are now equally unresponsive through all platforms. Today marks one month that I've been waiting to hear back from Associa and currently looking into how to file a complaint against an HOA management company in the state of California. Over the last year or so there have been many houses listed for sale in this neighborhood and I attributed it to individuals trying to "cash in" at the peak of the market. I'm sure that is the case for some but many of these listings are for homes built in the last phase of construction which leads me to believe it's not a profit motive. I have to wonder if this exodus is a result of the poor management of our HOA. My husband and I have been here for a year and a half and are pretty fed up. We love our home but HOA is definitely driving us to sell or list for rent at the first opportunity. Giving them one star is generous.

I have been corresponding with Nicole Stanley for a couple of months now regarding different issues about my mother's property. She has always been quick to respond, professional, helpful and very kind. Even during the Cronovirus Stay-at-Home orders in California, she has been as quick to respond as ever. On one occasion, I needed a handyman to fix something, she recommended one that ended up being perfect for our project. Overall, I have been very pleased with her. Associa manages the HOA in East Garrison. We pay $125 a month and see nothing for it aside from a parking patrol that no one wants and doesn't even cite vehicles correctly and in accordance with our CCRs. They are supposed to handle front yard maintenance, and do not. They make you fill out a request for the work you already pay for and then take months to actually act on it if they ever do. They have changed CCRs without a majority vote of the residents which also goes against the CCRs. They never respond to emails or answer the phone. Best way to get in contact with them is through the Town Square app. We are selling our home and one of the main reasons is we are sick of this poor, inconsistent management. I sent a message through Town Square and asked about forms and fees associated with the ownership transfer of our property. I was told there were no fees, that the account just had to be current, and that there were no forms associated. A couple of weeks later, I get a phone call from my title company requesting $480 for the HOA ownership transfer. After repeated phone calls, we finally got Glady's to answer. She could not tell us why we had been told there were no fees. She could not tell us what we were paying $480 for. The only response she had was it's "standard among HOAs." She also threatened to hang up on my husband because she could not provide him any answers. I honestly have no idea how Glady's still has a job as I've heard nothing but complaints about her from our residents or how Associa gets any business managing HOAs. So glad to be done with them in a couple weeks!

Associa is great to work with. Our point of contact, Nicole Stanley, is always very responsive and supportive. We had some damage done by a contractor hired by the HOA. Nicole was able to get the ball rolling and she didn't stop until we were completely satisfied. I'm very happy to know Nicole will take care of things when we need her to.

Working with Mariam Poklong, has been such a pleasant experience. I have had questions, and concerns and general how to thing work in a Condo Association and Mariam has been so prompt with responding and giving me helpful guidance. She is alway polite and cheerful eager to help and has continued to reach out to me to make sure I was happy with the response and answers I was seeking. Tyler was prompt enough to call me , check-in with me and resolve the issue in a timely manner. He was courteous, compassionate and respectful in his approach. He was also good with building relationships and shared things to do in Santa Cruz with the family. As a vendor that works with Jackie Mckee on a daily basis, Jackie is a fantastic manager to work with. Despite all the changes that are going on around us and adjustments that are having to be made, Jackie is still very responsive and on it when it comes to getting situations taken care of. Our property manager Mariam Poklong is always responsive to my questions and needs. She is consistently knowledgable with our CCRs and can connect them with guiding our HOA Board for doing their business. She has prior experience with vendors and their services which is valuable to then be able to recommend them for our specific needs. She always has notices and agendas posted and will answer questions of concern. And last, Mariam is always pleasant even when the going gets tough. She never gives up. Associa has gotten better. Alison, our current account rep. has been really great. I have to say that she has by far been the best. If I ask her to help out with getting something done, she is right on top of it. It takes a great weight off my shoulders, so I can concentrate on other things.
