I worked with them for 7 months and I can't say enough wonderful things about this group of awesome people - always super responsive (even over weekends), always available for a phone call, answering all my questions, providing me with the information I needed as well as getting me thinking about things I hadn't considered before when it comes to buying a house. This was my first home purchase and I had A LOT of questions, they always had the information I needed and got it to me quickly so I could made decisions during tight timelines. I cannot recommend Amy Oehler and her team at Big Life Home Loan Group highly enough! She is accessible, knowledgeable, and patient, and she acts according to her values even when not financially advantageous. We used a different lender to purchase our first home and felt very much in the dark and out of control throughout the process; our experience with Amy and Big Life was completely the opposite. Buying a home is a stressful experience, especially in the current Austin housing market, but Amy and her team were available to run numbers and provide assistance at every turn. We are now in our forever home (we think!) but we will use Big Life should we ever need to buy again!

Amy's team was wonderful through both a purchase and a non-traditional refinance. Initially, we were working with a big bank on the refinance. After the process dragged on for close to 90 days, we went to close only to find out the bank had not done everything they needed to do for us to sign. Amy's team took over and closed us in under 30 days just before Thanksgiving. We have multiple properties, so we've used a few lenders over the years. I've never been very impressed with any of them until working with the Big Life Home Group — I can't recommend them enough!

My experience with Amy, Crystal and her team was amazing. There were many team members helping during the process. Everyone was super responsive and answered all my questions along the way. I never felt pressured or uninformed about anything. They even made me take a 1st time home buying online course to get a tax credit. Oh and I closed on my house in less than 20 days! Yesterday was Thanksgiving and this year I am thankful for so many things!! This year I am thankful for my health, my friends & family, a teaching job that I love and this year most importantly this new condo and home that I can call my own!! I've always wanted what Virginia Woolf referred to as, "A Room of One's Own," and now I finally have it! The entire team exceeded my expectations on every level possible but it was the energy and effort of Crystal Guerrier that took my experience to the next level!!! As a public school teacher with way too many graduate school student loans to repay and the additional burden of having to start over after a divorce, I wasn't really sure that home ownership was a possibility for me!! I then discovered this amazing condo that was listed as part of the City of Austin's Affordable Housing Program and the additional bonus of the cities Down Payment Assistance Program. To say that the process of applying was easy would be a huge underestimate but the knowledge and expertise that Crystal Guerrier brought to this process made what seemed impossible . . . So Very Possible!!! I can't say Thank You Enough and I am so very happy in my new home! Amy and her team were so helpful during the whole process. Being a first time home buyer with minor financial issues in the past I wanted to make sure I had a reliable trustworthy lender. From the start Amy made us feel comfortable and helped walk us through everything. They were extremely communicative during the underwriting and closing and their customer service was some of the best I've ever experienced. We attempted to go through Navy Federal Credit for a loan because we heard such great things. NFCU ended up having awful customer service and were not very helpful or understanding and frankly I felt intimidated by their loan officer. Amy and her team were the complete opposite and even offered us a better rate. Even if NFCU would've given us a better rate I probably would've gone with Amy and her team solely based on their customer service.

Amy's team leaves me speechless every time I work with them or refer a client to them. They are my trusted resource to get the job done. If they say it can happen it does. Like a good mechanic or hair dresser once you find one that performs exceptionally well you stick with them. Amy, Crystal and Michelle are my favorite frugal fiduciaries.
