Amscot - The Money Superstore Clearwater

Wonderful place to cash checks when the bank is closed. They also provide free money orders. They are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They also offer reasonably priced tax preparation services during tax season. The staff is courteous, professional, efficient and friendly. Service is fast. I would highly recommend this business.

This company does not allow individuals to use their power of attorney on behalf of a disabled vet. Disgraceful! Our men and women of service deserve better!! Financial transactions for these individuals who have special circumstances with appropriate documents should be allowed.

I was in a bind with making change and this was a large order. I called ahead and spoke to Tony and he was very generous and very helpful. I am very thankful for Tony and Joseph when the banks are closed Amscot took care of me. Thank you.

Haven't had a bad experience here, mainly minor staff problems but it's all good.

A lady with a name that starts with L, gave me the worst business ever. I needed a money order and she gave me an attitude and was calling 800 for almost 10 minutes for nothing!!! I walked out and went to another Amscot and got my money order within 1 minute and got amazing customer service.

I appreciate amscott and everything it does. But this lady, Francine was a little rude, for no reason. She wasn't REALLY mean or anything. I just normally get much more polite customer service. She wasn't very informative, made a comment about my hand writing, looked at me like she didn't like me but knew she had to be nice because it was her job. lol. I'm a very upbeat, positive person and it seemed to bug this girl, she also seemed to subtly rolled her eyes at me before I left. Lol

I didn't think this location was that bad, the only thing that irked me was I would have these reimbursement checks from my insurance company that were to pay me back for money I paid up front - every time i cashed one I felt like it was a federal case where more than one person was asking me 21 questions about what it was for, why, etc. Meanwhile I've cashed some seedy looking 'paychecks' at Amscots back in the day when I was a pizza driver with no problem. These medical checks said Chase / Blue Cross on them.
