    I highly recommend AMOCO for all of your financial needs! It is highly personalized! When you call you will be able to talk to an employee that will go above and beyond for you! This year alone I have had 3 employees go above and beyond for me and I really appreciate them! Christina helped with our jeep loan, Brandee D helped with a personal loan, and Cody helped with our account! Thank you so much!

    Amoco Federal Credit Union Texas City, I hope you know what kind of employees you have representing you behind the phones. I have never felt compelled to get online and write a negative review, but this couldn’t be avoided. The mother of my grandson had a new auto loan with you and fell 2 months delinquent on her payments due to the pandemic and another personal reason. Instead of being more understanding, your employee Will Smith chose to handle the matter in a condescending manner. He was the one that alerted myself and my daughter of the delinquent payments. After speaking to my grandsons mother about it, Will was contacted and told that we WOULD get the payment paid in full by Friday, October 8. He said he wanted the payment by Monday, October 4th at noon, no exceptions. He didn’t care about explanations, he didn’t care about reasons and he didn’t care that the payment was going to be taken care of. His condescending attitude was completely uncalled for. You would think that when a family member is contacted and your representative is called back, they would take into consideration the help being offered. He wasn’t interested in the least. Thursday, October 7th, with the money in hand, she walked outside to her car being gone. What difference was 4 more days going to make? Of course we knew what had happened so my daughter called Will that same morning and asked if there was anyway we could get the car back because we had the money. Needless to say, he again, wasn’t interested and shot down every solution to her getting the car back; ending the call with he doesn’t talk to 3rd party people. Really? How ironic, Will…. And lastly to end this long review, Will being questioned by my daughter must of left him feeling some type of way for him to call Mary right after they hung up and let her know that “yeah, you won’t be getting that car back.” How insulting and unethical!!

    Can’t ever get someone on the phone. Denied an auto loan when I’ve already paid off 2 cars threw them. Never received the credit for the referrals I sent them or discounted rates from loyalty program. Credit over 700 and income over 100k/yr. Guess I’ll try BofA or Chase bank.

    They are doing a wonderful job during the coronavirus!! The inside is closed for awhile to keep the customers and employees safe. The drive- thru has been open and they are doing an awesome job. Today Vanessa helped me in the drive-thru and she is the nicest person. She smiled the whole time and that made my day. I am still smiling. She is amazing.

    We are a small family owned used car dealership. Credit union is refusing to release funds on a vehicle we sold that the customer used AMOCO for financing stating they can't release their funding until the DPS hold is released (which is understandable), BUT this hold was released as of 1/6/20. It is now 1/10/20, we have supplied proof from the state that it is released, but yet they are still claiming the hold is there on the transfer which is just absurd and an outright lie. For any dealers reading this review, consider these obstacles you will encounter when dealing with this credit union

It has taken the DPS an unusual amount of time to complete and clear the title. We are checking all drafts daily, so when the title is released we can work efficiently to complete the process.     Hilda was amazing! She walked me through the online application process... I had to wait for my updated ID to come in the mail and she was more than kind and answered all my questions along the way. I switched from Wellby (Formerly JSC) due to their increased fees, service charges, and horrible customer service, and I couldn't be happier.

    Very disappointed in the auto loan specialist Will Smith. The mother of my nephew fell on hard times due to the pandemic and a breakup, resulting in her being late on her car loan by 2 months. She was also late on her 1st car payment. Yes, it is her responsibility to make these payments in a timely manner, but being the mother of 2 small kids, ages 1 and 3, and it’s hard for her to find a job and also pay for a daycare by herself. When I found out the predicament she was in, I called Will myself just last week and told him we could have the full payment made by Friday, October the 8th… but he told us he needed it to be paid in full by Monday, October 4th at 12pm. She walked out this morning Thursday Oct 7th at 9:30am to go make the payment and the car is gone. I feel as though he could have been a little more compassionate towards the situation. Whats another 4 more days to avoid leaving her stranded with 2 small kids and a repo on her credit? Let me also add, he has an unprofessional and unnecessary snide/rude/better than attitude. I do not recommend doing business with him.

    I came to Amoco to apply for my first loan on a small car, and Veronica had helped me so much. For being someone who is new to loans and interest rates, she walked me through my different options and what is recommended. The process was painless and easy...I would recommend her to anyone. They’ve also been a great bank in general when it comes to my checking and savings account. I love the fact that they’re able to print new cards right there if I ever lose or break my debit card.

    they care very little for customers, your time is not a concern of amoco. Still waiting on my replacement credit card six month later. Now I have to go all weekend with no access to my money during a pandemic because they can’t do their job right. Closing account Monday

    Have had a checking account 20 years at Amoco ,Due to pandemic and prices on everything spiking I voluntary turned my vehicle back over only to find out as a punishment they turned off my debit card and I will not ever be issued another card.Pretty unprofessional and a desperate attempt to punish me.My advice don't get any type of loan there if you like using the bank for transactions.Ive moved my business to another credit union,Have a nice day!
