AmeriCU Credit Union Oswego Rd, Liverpool

I have worked so hard to fix my credit so I could buy a house. I was told AmeriCU is the best place to go. That is a joke. After getting my credit report twice on 2 different occasions I was told no. They made me feel like I was inconvenience them.

Welcoming staff and fantastic tellers who are always professional, courteous and efficient. Lobby is always clean with minimal wait times. Shared branch banking is easy and hassle free. Thank you all so much for all your hard work!

AmeriCU ripped me off!! Had to fight with them about overdraft fees on my account when clearly I should not have been charged for a mistake that a vendor made. 5 overdraft fees in total and when all was said and done, they refunded 3 of the 5. Also apparently I had a service I didn’t know about on my account. It’s called member privilege. What they do is they make sure your charges are paid regardless of your account balance and then charge you an overdraft fee. So the privilege is that they get to charge you however they want. This was not the first time either. Finding a new bank. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Was with them for over 20 years.

I only gave them one star so I could submit a rating. I used their ATM with my bank card. It kept my card. Amerique customer service told me I couldn't get my card back because I wasn't a member. I had to reorder my card and suffer an unreasonable hardship since I use a peepaid card. This is why I don't trust banks or credit unions. If I had an acount I could have gotten my card back but I guess if you don't have an acount with them and the atm malfunctions you get the shaft

Great bank. They have a coin deposit machine inside for members. It's easy to use. Easy in and out parking lot as well. Fast friendly employees.

Used this place for many years. Very nice staff and all financial needs are met.

Morally wrong. It’s the only words I can use to describe what they did to my family. My grandmother was a loyal customer for many many years until her passing in July. This poor excuse for a bank took it upon themselves to decide where her remaining money was to go and put it all in a credit card leaving my mother to not only deal with the loss of her mother, but with the other bills of hers that were supposed to be taken care of by the money these people basically stole. Shame. Shame on this entire company for allowing such a horrible thing to happen and not reimbursing the basically stolen money on the spot.

I recently moved to this area and am looking for a good credit union so I stopped at Americu because it is close by and my brother had an account there. I was not at all impressed with the staff (the tellers were pleasant though) and that really surprised me - i was also shocked that they had no bathrooms for customers, no fax or copy machine -- oh i miss my credit union in Troy, if only they were in this area! I was all set to use Americu but now i am looking around, I would advise others to do so also

Member for years. Never had a problem. Service is great and interest rates better than banks. Friendly and helpful staff.

tiffany was swearing and throwing things at me. i felt very threatened and uncomfortable. will not be coming back!
