Re opened a account here and after third visit, two of the woman working here already knew me by last name and would always greet me and make me feel welcome. Always friendly, very professional and always willing to help and give me the answers I need when asked. Very much recommend this bank. By far friendliest staff at this ASB

I understand wait times are long, but after listening to the 4 commercials on loop 😒 to the point that ive memorized them just to get to someone just for her to hang up on customer is bad customer service. I just asked a question and if she couldn't help me, get me to a supervisor who can. Where is the callback feature on this thing?

Review for teller named JESSICA! The worst teller ever! ASB failed to deliver my replacement ATM Card... and she was never sympathetic. I was upset coz I was gonna travel and was gonna use my debit card. She does not care! Even made me feel like I am giving her a hard time. When I asked if it was gonna be delivered in time, this time around, she just kept repeating 7-10 business days, 7-10 business days! It has been three weeks! It never arrived! She never even said sorry for failing! Jessica! Learn from your colleagues! Or ask your boss to train you how to handle customers. Worst teller ever

Two experiences, one account was drawn empty by criminal 32k at top 3k limit every hour in Florida ATM. ASB never thought to stop the suspicious activity and allowed the account to go to $6. Second experience, a check was mobile deposited, and without any warning such as a proper email or text message to notify it got reversed. So the check was never deposited essentially and the account never ever bothered to think it might incur a financial loss on the customer as it is not their responsibility. There genuinely exist problems with their processes. After two decades Will be taking business elsewhere.

This bank charges a fee just to check your balance on an ATM. And they also charge thirty dollars for overdraft fee. Then there is the scam they tried to pull on an elderly customer. They tried to have her sign off on a contract to absolve them of all responsibility when a bank employee, a supervisor, stole from her. Well, that woman filed a lawsuit on them for stealing her money and won. Then there was that time a security personnel blew the whistle on the bank for theft from a customer. American Savings tried to do a cover up and fired the whistle blower. The whistle blower sued and won. What does that tell you about this bank? The CEO that ran this bank was rewarded for her inept leadership by being promoted to CEO of Hawaiian Electric which is the parent company of American Savings. And she is being paid over five million a year while they keep raising your electricity rate. What a scam.

Excellent customer service, I keep this bank despite being back in Cali! Recommend to everyone opun Hawaii. Wish they were here in No. CA!
