American First Credit Union Lincoln Ave Ste B, Buena Park

Been a member here for over 14 yrs. It keeps getting worse and worse. Tried to close a CD today, 1month ahead of schedule, so I knew there would be a penalty. It was a 36 month CD so I figured with 1 month left it would be a small penalty. Boy was I wrong. 18 months of interest was my penalty! Are you kidding me!? The teller says sorry we restructured the penalties so they're steeper now. When was I notified?? With 1 month left, that sounded ridiculous so I asked the manager if he could do something and he simply says no. The service has really gone down. I wish I could say this is the first time with problems but it's not. Just added to the list and this was the tipping point for me.

I wanted to break away from the client services offered by the large national banks. I live in the Palm Desert area, Riverside County and even though American First Credit Union (AFCU) did not have a physical presence I went online and started working through the new customer process with Melissa Leon, I was overwhelmed with her approach. I am now a new member with American First Credit Union, I want to share my experience with Melissa who was very professional, knowledgeable, positive, helpful, made it easy, getting me set up. Always very polite and I could see her smile on every call. Melissa offered me not to hesitate to use her as my point of contact moving forward, and I certainly will. Horrible customer service. Every time I call, it so happens that 90% of the time they are always under maintenance and can’t help me. I can go on, I’ll tell you one thing, they don’t help you much. Traded in a vehicle at the dealership and title has been transferred. They told me I’m still responsible for the payment coming up if they don’t pay off in time 🤷🏻‍♂️

They have great customer service, but their mobile application and the AMT seems outdated if we compared with other banks.

Very Nice costumer service so far and good thing is Low interest on car loan.

My husband Robert Johnston and our youngest daughter Megan went to set account with them to receive their Social Security benefits and they were rejected so if you want a credit union to accept your Social Security benefits don't go here. If I could give your establishment none I would.

Customer for service takes forever to get a simple task done. Have to fax or mail to change address. Wait times are about half an hr to an hr. Not a customer friendly credit union.

I find the staff friendly and knowledgeable. My mother and I have been with American First since the 90's, a first class institution.

I have NO problems doing business with this bank. The ATM is not a problem.
