My experience with American Financing was nothing short of amazing. It was our second time this year with them and Nicole Lambert, our loan consultant was awesome. She was super professional and attentive. She always went out of her way to keep us updated and informed on the loan process. We have never had such wonderful customer service in any other loan process we have been through before. This company has high standards and I love how personable they are. We will definitely be recommending them.

The experience I had with American Financing was definitely 5 stars! I am a first time home buyer. Denise Chang was excellent, she found me a mortgage that perfectly met my needs in no time (under a month!), and then she introduced me to a top notch realtor (Gene Finley), who found me a house that was exactly what I was looking for in no time! From start to finish was only about a month. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs any kind of mortgage help. I have already recommended them to several others. I had an amazing experience using American Financing for my recent refinance. David Clark was patient and honest from the beginning. I love the website, and the ability to track and upload documents as the process continues. Very simple and easy! I recently refinanced my mortgage with American Financing. The experience was very positive made so exclusively by Emily Griffith, my loan coordinator. She listened to my needs, asked good questions and worked to tailor the loan to achieve my goals. I have to say I was very surprised by how we have been treated by this company from the very start. We were contacted about two years ago when the pandemic first started, and we told them that we had a manufactured home. They told us they were not doings refinancing on Manufactured homes but to check back with them when things settle down. A few months ago, we were contacted by one of the agents and he asked if we were still interested, and we said yes, we were. Long story short we went through all of the paperwork signings, got an appraisal for our home and then were handed off to another person because someone else kind of stepped on a few toes and literally took us from the original guy, fast forward two months later and 5 agents later this is the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. It was one thing after another with each person, we sent duplicate documents over and over again because we have been through so many different agents. This has and was the worst experience in my lifetime with a financing company. If I could give them -10 stars I would and not ever recommend this company to anyone. Please be aware of these people as they are not what they seem. It got to the point my wife got very sick because of the stress this company and agents put us though. We will be going with another more professional company that actually cares for its customers. Very disgusted in central Oregon

My mortgage consultant Alex was awesome! Made the entire process as easy as possible and everything was done online. Once it was finalized, Karen - the notary, came to my house with all the paperwork to sign. They gave me a realistic timeline to process everything and even completed ahead of schedule. We refinanced our primary residence mortgage and we were given a really good deal for a 15 year mortgage. However, the whole process was very slow and sloppy. We had to deal with four different women that didn't' communicate between each other much less with us. We called or sent emails with questions and any response would come after several days. To the point that I had to call a general number and ask if my mortgage consultant was still there or if I should drop everything and look for another company. Our first conversation was on December 29 and by January 3 I asked if they would like to consider refinance a second house we owned.... this was too much for them, first , the consultant didn't respond to this new possible deal, second , she confused all the documents and disappeared for about 10 days . We definitely stopped this second process and had to straight up for the first one. Again, sloppy and messy. We finally closed on February the 19.... but for only one house. We had to be extremely cautious along the process otherwise it wouldn't happened.

I am a 1st time home buyer who recently used American Financing to purchase a home using a VA loan. They were knowledgeable and willing to assist me with every issue as well as explain home buying steps to me. Their representatives responded quickly to email, but it was hard to call them directly. Also, they neglected to inform me of options like locking my rate while I shopped for a home. Overall, I am very satisfied with the services I was provided from American Financing and would use their services again in the future.

After comparing several lenders, we decided to refinance with American Financing. It was the best experience we’ve ever had with a lender. Jaime Carreno was knowledgeable, attentive, responsive, and patient with all of my questions. He and his team, made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I wanted to give a better review. The first time I used this place it was great, not so much this go round. Numbers sounded great coming from Mr. Jason C., then their story changed excuses made. Only got to miss one payment, went down one point. Was lied to about my escrow. Old mortgage company pairs out on my taxes and insurance. They charged me and basically double paid and won’t refund me. 7,000$ for closing and restarting my wonderful 30 year loan again! I coup recommend this place ever. No one’s returning calls, emails. They take your money and run! Don’t use this place!

Adam Businger helped me with my first refi. He and everyone on his team were extremely professional and very disciplined. After I reached out to American Financing and they pulled my credit report the credit reporting agencies turned perhaps 100 other mortgage financing agencies onto me. There's nothing Adam or AF could have done about that, but not one of the other agencies that contacted me gave me even a fraction of the sense of legitimacy that AF did. Everyone on Adam's team was sure to speak clearly, inform me that we were on a recorded line, and were knowledgeable and informative and patient with me. They were very practiced and generally able to predict what questions I would have. The team also moved the process along very swiftly. They were able to process all the paperwork using literally whatever method I wanted to use, so if all I had was a phone camera they made it work, and I never had to use a fax. For as easy as this was I only wish I had done it sooner.

Wow is all I can say. The refinancing went flawless, HOWEVER, we were assured American Financing would NOT sell our mortgage BACK to RoundPoint...guess what they did UGH!!! We just spent almost 7K in appraisal, closing cost, so on and so on to be sold BACK to the company we were desperately trying to get away from. Now what do we do???? Did a refi with Greg LaPointe at American. It went really good. Smooth process, after submitting paperwork we got a call for appraisal and then shortly after scheduled closing. Simple and quick. Greg was always super friendly on the phone and informative throughout the process as well.

American Financing is using deceptive advertising, and its agents are verbally stating they offer financing options that are not available. They also took information for an application before my approval and ran credit. I'm a high-tier credit. My issue is using false advertising and verbally telling clients that they offer a program that isn't available only to obtain personal information that I suspect they then sold. We began to receive text and phone calls from several lenders within 24 hours of this experience with American Financing.

Abbi Goode was friendly and efficient. When I had questions (and there were several) she had ANSWERS. She replied to my messages and calls in a reasonable time frame. Also she thought of details that I would NOT have thought of (saving us even MORE money). There were a couple Obstacles which popped up, and American Finance was ALWAYS ready to overcome them. GREAT company!!!

I contacted AF to refinance my house. I was not happy with the numbers they brought back to me, so I decided to not go with them. I let Hank know that I am going to hold off right now and decide later down the road. Ever since then, I have received at least 2 calls a day from them. Some were asking me for my pay stubs (even though I said I wasn’t going to use their services), and even after I told one lady that I’m not using them, another one called later that day asking for paystubs. They do not communicate with each other. I have told them every single time that I decided not to go with them, but yet I still get multiple calls a day. The harassment has pushed me to go with someone else and will not try AF. Great way to lose customers.

Talked to this company because they were a sponsor of a radio show I listen to. They ran my credit which I was hesitant to do because I did not want the inquiry. American Financing said credit was not good enough to refinance ( bizarre because we have 720 ) and that they would have a credit counseling group reach out to us to " fix " our credit which we have not heard from them. In the meantime however they must have sold ourt information because our mailbox is now filled with refinance offers from Trinty mortgage, Wells Fargo etc... SO my time with American Finance was a COMPLETE waste of time and I'm writing the radio show to tell them also. Very disappointing !!!!!

The Katy Morris was the consultant I worked with. I was VERY disappointed and a TOTAL waste of my time. I tried to get pre-qualified for a mortgage loan. Katy knew ALL my circumstances, I was upfront with everything from the beginning. How long I had been at my job, tipped income, etc. in the end I didn’t qualify. After jumping through hoops to get everything into them. Apparently I didn’t meet the criteria. Well why didn’t you tell me how long I needed to be on the job etc?? Well if Katy was experienced enough in her job she would’ve known that and NOT have pulled my credit. Now I get dinged and of course they don’t care they’re salary based. When I try again down the road I will not be using American Financing that’s for sure.

The toughest part of doing this review, is that I can not put into words how much of a positive and indelible impact American Financing has had on me through the efforts of Suzzane Dew. At the end of May, my husband and I contacted American Financing. After submitting our personal and private documents, it appeared that Team Ryan (Ryan Howell & Sarah Morton) was unknowledgeable. Upon their suggestion, we opted to go with my credit only. Doing so, SOMEHOW they interpreted that my husband was deceased and then requested a copy of his death certificate. I corrected Sarah on her misassumption. On May 26th, Sarah advised that someone else, David, would reach out to us. Seeing that no one followed up, on June 10th, I sent the following. "Sarah and Ryan, As a reputable company, your reluctance to communicate has created much concern. As we have decided to go with another lender, please advise how all confidential documents, previously submitted, can be retrieved. Your quick response to this urgent matter is greatly appreciated." We have NOT heard from anyone.

Let’s get one thing straight. Salary based mortgage consultants only means that they will not put forth any effort to get your loan done. Because, they have zero incentive to put in extra effort. That being said, I have given American Financing two opportunities in the last six years to earn my business. They always start strong, and really get your hopes up. Save yourself time and some aggravation by going somewhere else to begin with. In 2016, I was pre-approved by AF but they wouldn’t get me the amount I needed. They wouldn’t count my OT even though I presented them with a letter from my employer saying it was all but guaranteed. I took my business to another lender and was easily approved. Don’t let the fun stop there! Four months later I was contacted by one of their consultants... “ I am reaching out to you since you refinanced with us in the past and rates are much lower now on VA loans. ” Nope. Never refied through you, never sought a VA loan. I replied back with “do not contact me.” Three days later, I heard from a mortgage consultant assistant claiming he was working on my mortgage alongside some MC I had never heard of. It took several threats of a BBB report before they would stop harassing me. In December 2021 I gave them another shot. Once again, they made exciting promises. When all the loan details showed up in my portal, I saw that the loan was for significantly less than we had talked about. The geniuses were trying to refi my rental property in Wyoming but with the address of my property in Colorado. Once that was straightened out, the communication between them and myself got farther and farther apart and their interagency communication was non existent. If you like repeating yourself multiple times give them a call! Ultimately, American Financing would not put in the effort to close my loan and I once again had to reach out to another lender UPDATE! Here it is the end of April 2022 and guess which clowns cold call me wanting to refi my house? American “can’t stop harassing me” Financing. Unbelievable.

Chris Kelly is the Best!!! I refinanced to a 15-year fixed and then again to pull out some cash. He made it so easy on the website, and he and his staff are extremely prompt in responding to any questions. They are very honest and reasonable. This was the fastest, easiest finance/re-finance we have done. It was all completed through online forms and a few calls. When we had questions, our rep. (Suzanne Dew) walked us through the steps and forms. Most importantly, the refinance rate was very competitive - actually better than other companies, including the company that held our mortgage for many years. There is a lot of advertising these days for refinance companies - including online refinancing. For us, American Financing (and our rep.) had the best rates as well as fast, helpful, and very friendly service.

This is the second time I've used American Financing. There is a good reason for that: The customer service is the best that I've experienced. Scott performed at every step of the way and he never left an inquiry unanswered. I also appreciated the concise answers and follow-up. In most customer service experiences, I've gotten used to waiting for answers, but within a few minutes of asking a question, there was Scott's answer. Once again American Financing came through and Scot was the one that made it happen.

My wife and I started the process in mid November and the communication seemed great. After a week, we didn’t hear back from anyone after we submitted the documents they asked for. Two months later, after multiple emails and calls we were redirected to different people every time who did not clarify what we needed to move forward to the pre-approval stage. We just got a “sorry to see you go” email because time ran out to get pre-approved. Customer service was horrible because they wouldn’t communicate clearly with us.

We enquired at the beginning of December, and we completed any and all paperwork that was required immediately, and it is now mid February, and the refinance is still not complete. For a company with "an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau" (which the continuously tout on their hold music), they have VERY poor turn around.

We just closed on our VA refinance, and we could not be happier with the service provided by Tony Gomez and the team he works with. Tony reached out to us to let us know the status of the loan every step of the way and we absolutely appreciated it as this was the first refinance we had ever done. On top of that, we are saving approximately $300 per month on our mortgage payment!

She takes the time to work with and makes sure you understands everything. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for this other guy. When you start your loan process here ask for Emily G. You won’t regret it. Thanks Emily for everything. Started off good. But being self employed. We run into a few bumps. They think they know it all. So they won’t take the time to talk to you about it. I went to a local loan office. Had everything done and ready to go. Try to transfer my appraisal to the new loan office. Then they wanted to start taking the time to talk with me. Trying to pay them for the appraisal was a joke. After a week finding got it paid. Hopefully they will transfer it next week. They care more about numbers then customer service.

Nathan Rogers (Sales Manager) and Bradley Gertz (Processor) were THE BEST! I wanted to get my loan finished up by year's end 2021 and they made it happen by November with a great intertest rate and awesome customer care. After 2 re-fi loans with Nathan I will never go anywhere else!

Really good experience. I feel like the portal could update a bit faster than it was, it never really matched what I was being told by my LO and Processor, but the employees I dealt with were awesome. Abbi Goode and Jade Balleydier were quick and efficient and answered all of my questions. I don't love when companies tell me how many stars to give them on a review, that makes reviews seem a bit fake. Aside from that, I would have also liked a bit more communication regarding the selection of Title Company, Cash to Close, stuff like that. It wasn't until I reached out that any of those were addressed. That being said, when I reached out, the communication was quick and helpful. We heard about this company through Glenn Beck and I would recommend them as long as you are okay with your loan servicing being sold (which is pretty common).

It's been now over 3 months since I entered into an agreement with American Financing to refinance my home. Within one day of the start, I'd provided all documents requested by the bank. I own a business and am used to the prolonged process of getting documents and the additional red tape when getting any kind of loan. Months go by. During which, my processor had a surgery, the underwriter was changed and then my file given to a new underwriter. Communication on what was going on internally has never been good. Multiple times documents are requested which I've already supplied. Lots of excuses. The delays have gone so long that the rate I'd locked in at the start has now passed its expiration. Continually, I'm the one calling in to see where things are at. The processor's manager continues to tell me the refi will close very soon. We are perpetually dragging this on with no missing docs or information I'd have to supply. I'm not sure who or how many 'whos' have slowed this down from a 3-4 week process to a 3-4 MONTH process. It's turning into a nightmare scenario. Advice: if you own a business or have any kind of complicated case... Run. Find another bank who can get you personalized care and stay on top of the work.

(or whatever co, they sold/ my loan too)...After having to pay for the appraisal and sending so much info that I almost wondered if they also wanted my vax records..I couldnt deal with the stress. I think we had to redo the lock in rate papers 3 or 4 times,,, Anyway it was a stressed out nightmare I just woke up and said "enough!" I might be out of an appraisal fee and some other fees my old mortgage co made me pay when I tried through them..I am so glad I called American Financing.. I heard about American Financing on a local radio station and decided to refinance for a lower percent rate. Words can not explain how wonderful David Clark and his team handled EVERYTHING! I had dealt with American Financing several years ago and the customer service was fantastic; closed in 10 days. So, I was curious to see if anything had changed since then; not a thing. I was contemplating my refinance with my current mortgage loan processor, but after a little bit of negotiating, American Financing gave me the best interest rate. The customer service was friendly, efficient, and moved so quickly to get me all the documents. I did have some questions and the emails were answered so promptly. There were no issues with the accuracy of the documents. We did everything via email or on their portal and then the notary dropped off all the documents to be signed. This refinance was not done in 10 days and that is understandable because of COVID times. It surely was worth the wait. We didn't get to meet the awesome people that processed our refinance and so, this is my way of telling everyone that they are every bit as advertised. I would definitely recommend their services and American Financing should be proud of these employees!!!

We bought our Home 2 yrs ago using American Financing, and the process was good. A few contact issues but for the most part good! So we decided to use them to refinance and the process did not go well. Every time I would try to call Mandy B the loan officer in charge of our refi, she would not pick up or call back. She did not keep is informed on the status of our loan. We will NOT be using American financing again! The people at US Mortgages have kept in contact with me from the start so I would say look else where! I understand they are a big company but If they cant communicate they should tell you that from the start!

I am a Realtor of 34 years and this was my personal refinance loan which was very smooth. Weekly updates were great. Knowing where the process was on a daily base was nice through the website. I could look at it anytime. Tommy was very friendly, pleasant and always returned my calls. They do a bulk load of loans and so it had taken longer than expected but I gotten the loan and terms I wanted. And BEST OF ALL I am saving $400.00 a month on payments. I highly recommend American Financing. Tommy's team was the greatest.

We have used American Financing previously and were very happy. We decided to refinance again and were extremely disappointed in the service we received. First, their TV commercials talk about how easily and quickly (!) you can refinance however "due to the pandemic" they were taking MONTHS....a YEAR into the pandemic, they should have had their system figured out (the rest of the businesses who had to shift to work from home had to figure it out, and did)! Then, the individual who started our process did NOT pay attention to our requests and changed the amount we were getting back, changed the amount I requested it be calculated at (until after we got the appraisal) and overall, had no idea what he was doing. I understand that new people need a chance but it seemed as though he was not being double checked by a more experienced individual. Then, despite having an extremely clean refi with excellent credit we had to sit behind others "who if they are self employed, it requires more documentation to close"... Lastly, once we finally made it to closing, the notary arrived and the final numbers she brought with her were COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from all of the documents that had been previously emailed to me. Different fees, different take home, different escrow etc! After reaching a supervisor, she left and they had to completely redo my loan (based on my original request which had been CHANGED/modified for no apparent reason) and re-assess the fees and escrow. Once this was all taken care of, we were FINALLY able to close. Once upon a time, this was a good company. Apparently the pandemic threw them for a loop that they have not recovered from. They need to take their commercials off the air, catch up on all their active accounts, TRAIN their staff and then start again.

I was a first time homebuyer and didn't know how the process worked. We were assigned Luke as our MC and he was amazing!!! He guided us through the process and it was really seamless. I can't say enough about Luke, I think I called him everyday and he responded with the same friendly, kind and helpful attitude each time. Even though I know I was getting on his nerves lol 😂. Trevor Stucky was amazing when it came to background staff not having everything ready to go and pushing them to get things down so we can close faster. Tyler schreckengost was an amazing realtor. He was there from the time we started to the day we signed. He had all our questions answered when we needed them. Overall experience with this company was good and I would have no complaints about them.

American Financing provided excellent customer service, and gave me a chance to get a mortgage at a good rate. My first contact was Rosanna Layman, who did her best to collect all my financial information, so there would be no qualification issues. Samantha Olin , who worked for the loan processor Shardae Whitaker, phoned me to say any new documentation I submitted had been received. Shardae Whitaker worked to get the final approval completed as speedily as possible. Rosanna wanted me to get this mortgage, kept in touch, and was encouraging.

The team was amazing, Keith was super helpful. He kept in touch the whole time, and had answers for everything I had to ask. I am so happy with how easy they made my refinance and they were super friendly people.
