Great little bank, but 4 stars for NOT having self- service ATM options (cash deposit at ATM after hours).

I opened my account today. I've never met a nicer banking family! Michelle Keith is the sweetest! Looking forward to doing business with this bank and opening more accounts. Thank you!

Worst bank I have ever dealt with. I have accepted countless cashiers checks from many banks and never had an issue. Got a cashiers check issued by this bank for almost $14k and it bounced due to one of the worst policies I have ever encountered with a bank! Basically, your signature AND account number on the back of their check is not good enough. You need to also print your business name on the back as well under your signature. They don't tell you this, they assume that their dumb policy is known by everyone. American Bank states this is due to security reasons to assure that the person signing it is also the person which is affiliated with the business. This has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen because if I were to forge the signature I can also easily print the business name as well because it's ON THE FRONT OF THE CHECK!! After receiving this info, I wasted more time because of this incompetent bank and went to my bank to print my company name under the signature. American Bank then told us that's not good enough and I have to do this to the original copy which is being sent back to us. So not only has $14k of funds been reversed on my account because of some unknown dumb policy, but I have to now wait for the original check to come back and to process it again. So stupid, so much lost time, and my company will NEVER accept any more checks from this horrid bank.

I just recently switched to American Bank & Trust, and it's like a breath of fresh air. They're so approachable, and they've been so willing to walk me through any questions I've had. Wish I had switched years ago!
