America's First Federal Credit Union Ashville Rd, Leeds

I went to my bank to make a simple deposit into my checking account. As I've always done I have money transferred from my checking to other accounts to pay bills and etc. I was informed by an untrained teller that I wouldn't be unable to do my bank transactions unless I had the exact amounts including change memorized, of each loan and credit card amounts which were several. the untrained teller had to get up at every question I had, and go back to the branch manager to ask for advice this happened six times and the branch manager still didn't come out to take control or help with the situation. I ended up having to leave without my bills being paid because of their incompetence I have zero faith in the abilities of America's first credit Union. the staff was rude and incompetent including the branch manager something needs to be done to make a change here or I will be taking our business elsewhere my advice to whoever reads this review is don't come here! P. S. The turnover rate here is off the charts.

I just attempted to go through the drive Thru lane only one teller taking so long to do each transaction. I wanted for over 10 min and she still wasn’t done with one customer. This needs to get better. Or I am switching to somewhere that can actually get things done in a timely manor.

Called up there this morning and instead of answering the phone, the representative present hung up on me, when it’s my money on the line you don’t hang up on people

Typically I have no complaints with our bank. Been with them for many years . But what really gets on my nerves is each teller has their own set of rules for your account. I have deposited personal checks for $20-100. And most of the time iitis not an issue with the bank. But in the last year 1 will say they have to put it on a 10 day hold, new guidelines. Then the next time I'm expecting it again and they say no we dont have to do a hold. It irritates the crap.out of me. So what you have a bad day so you make the rules up as you go?

My wife and I went to americas first because of all their advertising on auto loans and how great they are, we were approved in minutes for a loan of 8000 dollars with a low interest of %5.....GREAT!!! we drive to GEORGIA from BIRMINGHAM to get the car and it wasn't as expected. So, we look around while there and find a NEWER car with LESS miles. Call americas first back, great no problem, even lower monthly payments than first anticipated, GREAT DEAL. DRIVE BACK TO THE CARLOT AND SPEND THE NIGHT IN GEORGIA. We get the car lot to run the papers, fax them to americas first where we have ALREADY BEEN APPROVED, DRIVE BACK TO ANNISTON (the closest americas first) after spending the night in georgia, make it all the way there and they tell us "OOPS, our mistake, we cant finance it for what we already approved you, only DOUBLE THE PAYMENTS with more money down." after we tell them the situation and complain, the best answer we get is "sorry wish we could help" sad thing is i was so impressed with all their grand ads and commercials i was about to change all of my banking over to them. when i went back in and talked to the branch manager she was extremely defensive, and seemed more concerned with blaming my wife and myself than admitting that they miscommunicated. the worse thing is it was the actual branch manager who pre-approved us and even went as far as telling us exactly what to get the dealer to fax them so they could finalize the loan and "have a check waiting." Glad they showed their true colors and only wasted 300 DOLLARS of our money before i made that mistake!!!
