America's Credit Union - University Place Branch Bridgeport Way, University Place

I stopped into the branch the other day to complete a shared branching transaction. All though this location does not participate and help me with the transaction I was thoroughly impressed with how helpful they were. They explained how the process worked and directed me in the correct direction to complete my transaction. I had general banking questions and Richard, the branch manager, took the time to explain all the services the CU offered and how they could assist me and my family in achieving our financial dreams. I know some of the questions had to comes across as “basic “ for a financial professional but Richard was patient the entire time.

Acu recently discontinued their telephone teller. This is terrible! My mother is in a nursing home and can't navigate an online acct. She can't get her bank balance or check recent transactions after hours or weekends. Calling in during bank hours is even more frustrating. Plan on staying on hold for at least ten minutes. This is ridiculous! Taking away the telephone teller is a slap in the face to loyal acct holders.

Absolute worst branch this credit union offers. Three visible people “working” and not one of them greets or assists, or even looks at customers walking in the door. You have to stand there and stare at them for 15 minutes to get a “she’ll be with you soon.” After which they still make zero effort to do anything. No one knows what in the hell they’re talking about, and they literally gossip about customers in front of other customers. They don’t answer the phone. They don’t answer emails. You might as well drive to DuPont where they have actual tellers and even better, competent bank managers.

Do any humans work here? Tried to call to get info on moving my accounts over to ACU. None of the numbers I called gave me any options to speak with a person. They just wanted me to enter my account number. I guess they have all the business they can handle at the moment.

For your own sanity and safety do not believe the recent “positive” reviews of this branch. They are clearly posted by relatives and friends of staff. This is worth a doubt the worst branch in the state. Please offer your staff some training.

The staff at America's Credit Union in University Place is amazing! They are very knowledgeable & give members a warm greeting by name upon walking in the door. You are not just an ACU customer, but treated as a welcomed guest. All the ACU banks give wonderful service, but this branch is our favorite for so many reasons! Sincerely, Rick & Jill G.

The employees here are incredible and will do their best to rate match. They care about you making the most out of your money and give the best advice that they can offer. My entire family has been with them for at least 6 years and we’re not planning on leaving.

This place is AMAZING !! I appreciate all they do, they are prompt, professional, and fun ! Definitely go above and beyond what is expected!! I can’t imagine using a different bank!! The manager Richard is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! I loveeeeeee my U.P. Extended family! Thanks ACU ! I Highly recommend them !!

Everyone was super friendly and made sure my needs were taken care of especially Richard who went above and beyond to meet and exceed my expectations. I will continue to use ACU for all of my banking purposes!!

Richard is amazing to work with. He has gone out of his way to help me with multiple different issues and has become my go-to contact for all my banking needs.
