America First Credit Union S 2300 E, Salt Lake City

We have a loan through them for a Toy Hauler bought in March 2022. It is now almost July and we have not been able to license it because they don't seem to care to send the title to Wy to be licensed. If you have to call them it takes hours to be able to speak to anyone. this is a horrible place to get a loan.

I will be switching branches because the old man working at the bank spends not only 30+ minutes working on what I need, but he also never asks the bill types I need. Today, when I came to the bank, not only did I literally spend 30 minutes waiting at the bank, but he also gave me the wrong amount and I asked him for the right amount and he said the bank was limited. I went inside and the workers inside happily gave me the right amount that I needed. He works awful.

I am extremely frustrated with this credit union. Apparently they lost my car title, or the records department did, and have not done ANYTHING about it since discovering that it was lost 3 weeks ago. I did not know that they did not have the title (why would I? shouldn't they have this since they technically own the car??) when I decided to take out a second loan to finance a different car, hoping to sell that one and replace it with the new one. Now I can't sell the car until they figure out how to get a replacement title, and THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I have called 5 or 6 times in the last 3 weeks and the person I just talked to was very unhelpful and basically told me they haven't done anything yet. I can't even talk directly to the records department. I just don't even know what to do at this point.

I went to deposit money into my account through the atm and the atm took the money as well as my card. Didn't deposit the money and confiscated my card. When I addressed this inside they filed research request and told me there wasn't anything they could do in regards to me having MY money today. So I'm out over $100 because of their atm issue as well as without a card. I'm beyond frustrated and they didn't really offer anything due to their problem. They have also failed to contact me in regards to when I will get my card back because I need it. The whole experience has been horrible.

I have a car loan through America First, if you pay through a another financial institution they process the charge as a cash advance, which in turn charges your insitution a huge fee, they DO NOT tell you this at the time. If you pay on line its still a 8 dollar fee as well. Not fair.

Zach Ford was wonderful at the Cottonwood Heights branch. I put in an application for an auto loan and by the next day not only did we have our new car but Zach refinanced my existing loan on a different car and saved us $200.00 a month. That savings almost pays for the new car by itself. Thank you Zach! I have had my checking account at America First for over 15 years, also my late parents had theirs their for so very long, and we have been happy with their service. Thank you America First!

I've been with America First Credit Union since I was 18, I'm now 35. I closed my account back in January 2021... and they have mailed me advertisements and statements for the last 7 months!!!!!! I've talked to several people confirming my account was closed. How's it possible for a closed account to be left open by the credit union for 7 months!!!! I had a debit and credit go through an account that's been closed for 7 months!

1- 10 minutes wait to get a representative on the phone 2- The representative was not paying attention to what I said. (was he playing games?) 3- The representative said he could not phone out to connect with the account owner (my son) 4- For me to phone back, with my son on the line, would entail another 10+ minute wait. 5- The deposit receipt did not list the 2 checks deposited, only the total 6- The representative would not (according to rules) disclose what the 2 checks were that made the total 7- Why would anybody want to bank here? What's the attraction? They treat you like a rock.

I love AFCU! The staff is always friendly and professional. I am a customer for life. This branch is great for all kinds of service. I use the drive-up window and love to go inside.

Always get my questions answered, and have never had a problem with banking, even when cards get lost or systems get hacked. They take every measure to make sure members information and money is safe.
