I have been with this bank since it was Southwest Bank of Texas. The customer service was beyond compare…until about 2 years ago. The staff is rude and unhelpful, even to the point of combativeness. These are all new employees. The previous staff have all left or retired. The way they handle the account notifications is almost criminal. I am supposed to get notices if my account goes below a certain level, and account balances on a daily basis. The notices are never a true reflection of my account balances. Therefore, if I get overdrawn, I don’t get notified in time to avoid the NSF fees. Which, they will charge $35.00 if you are overdrawn by the smallest of amounts. My 18 year old daughter was charged $105 in fees when she had money available in her savings account. I asked that the fees be reversed since she wasn’t notified (even though she is set up for alerts) and they wouldn’t do it. This bank is getting rich by overcharging people for NSF fees that could have been avoided with proper notification. Worst customer service, ever!

Spent 30 minutes on hold just to be told I had to come into the branch to be helped. I’ve requested a debit card from them twice and still haven’t received one. I love not being able to easily access my own money. (I’m being sarcastic btw)

This is not my bank and glad I never chose to open an account with Amegy! Be aware of the poor reviews and news about this bank! I had an issue with probating a family members account and the customer service is the most AWEFUL of all banks I’ve ever dealt with. Dawn is rude/disrespectful she needs to learn manners and her place. Been over a mth since I’ve been promised help.. I’ve have NOT heard about any updates, they do not answer phone calls, NO return phone calls after leaving voicemails or emails. This bank is a joke please I urge others to go with Wells Fargo or any other professional banks! Making more reports on this bank soon for the public to be advise on the horrible service, how they discriminate, and lack of professionalism.

Anna is amazing!! Was so kind and helpful in getting a new account sent up for me. Such a lovely staff there!!

We were applying for a HELOC and found it extremely difficult to communicate with the person handling the application. Emails and phone calls went unanswered. Information that was supposed to received the next day did not come. The lack of responsiveness to a potential new loan customer and new account holder was stunning.

I swear 95% I gave her 200$ through outside Tellar access via next to atm during bank hours the outside service you use the cylinder that you send up in the bank. Anyways I double counted 200 and even announced it to the Tellar as I put it in cylinder and when she received it inside she said I only gave her 180 but because I have no proof besides that I know I gave 200 I just lost 20$ ;(

I find that Dawn is the most helpful, and knowledgeable banker that I have ever met, she goes above and beyond for every single customer she meets. Amegy is truly blessed as well as I am to have her working for me. Thank you Amegy for sharing her with us!

. Needed to transfer money from one account to another. Unable to do it myself. Called amegy requested to transfer the full amount from one acount to the other. She told me exact amount available and asked if i authorized it to be transferred. I said yes. Next day im hit with and overdraft charge she transferred more than what was in my account. When i called and said this was not my fault. There response was they wanted to make sure i had enough to pay my bills. Took 3 days of complaining to get the overdraft reversed. If i could have done it myself it NEVER would have let me tranfer more than what was in the account. Any excuse they can overdraft charges. Supposed to have free checking with automatic deposit. After 3 months they started. Charging my account. After 2 years of fighting with them. Ive changed banks

WORST BANK EVER !!!!! Horrible service!!!! We make a $580 dls deposit on the Amegy Atm, the machine took our money but never appear on my account , the ladys on the front say they cant do anything, i have to wait till someone go to count the money on the atm and she say is gonna take 10 days, what is wrong with that People????? I need the money now and she only say im sorry im sorry Im so mad is the worst bank and the most stupid rules that i ever hear. Now i know why too many People tell me that is not a good idea make an account with amegy.

The drive through banking has inconvenient hours. It has 9-5. Most people can't do that because they are working those same hours.
