Using this company to buy a home for 1st time home buyer’s. I work for the government and love my job my husband was US Navy for 12 years. They want child hood school records. Everyday something different they want or need we our on extension already and nothing is good enough this is very sad that people treat other this way for no reason. I pray that God blesses this company. We have learned a lot of things we need to do to be better. We will see. Thank you for reading

Gabriel Diaz and his team helped my brother and me achieve our dream of becoming homeowners. Gabriel and his team explained the process clearly and walked us through every step. They were flexible and always available for questions. They were very patient and alleviated any concern we had. They were a great team to work with. Thank you for all your help!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My wife and I recently listed our home for sale. Our buyers were using Alterra as their lender. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until two days before our initial closing date. The loan officer, German Giraldo, contacted our realtor saying they needed additional time. The initial reason was unclear but we granted an extension. Fast forward three extensions with this company and two weeks later they still have not closed on the loan. There have been several different reasons given such as an investor having a “personal emergency,” the investor “going missing,” and the loan needing to go back to underwriting. During this time Alterra representatives have been increasingly more difficult to get ahold of for a timeline. In addition to speaking with German, we have had different answers for the delay from Gabriel Diaz, Martha Zahuita, Hector Betencourt, Juan Zepeda, and Percy Quito. After our last extension, the day before closing arrived, our lender was told the loan “might be finished tomorrow or Friday [after the closing date].” All this wouldn’t be much of an issue if my wife, children and I weren’t waiting for this transaction to be complete to purchase our new home with the VA homeloan. Long story short we lost out on this home and still have no answers from Alterra about the status of their loan. This company is unprofessional and does not communicate adequately nor does it care about the inconvenience of everyone involved (our buyers, our sellers and us). I would never do business with this company as they have shown they are garbage and clearly do not know what they are doing.

My husband and I we just Refinance are home and hector Betancourt was the one helping us he was very helpful to us in very patient in with all that this happened with cove19 we all did are part and thank God everything went good that's why I'm given them a 3 star

Awesome loan officers and friendly,helpful staff!! We are first time buyers but they all help us to understand whole process! I definitely recommend to other people. Please go to this place for making your dreams come true!😀

We've worked with this company several times. We've had a purchase loan and 2 refinances done with them. I've worked in the mortgage industry in the past, so I have experience with MANY loan officers, needless to say, not all of them know what they're doing. Gabriel Diaz, however, really knows his stuff. He was able to give us a very competitive rate and if there was an issue that arose during the loan process (as there often are) he was able to identify what was needed to quickly resolve it. Would definitely go back to him for our future loan needs.

I had a terrible experience with this company last summer 2017 when I was looking for a home. I was pregnant, so our time was very limited. We were approved for way over than we apparently truly qualified for, and after wasting our time and the sellers' time, our deal fell through with only 1 month left before I was due to have my baby. We had wasted money on an appraisal and an inspection for a home we didn't even qualify for, which we didn't know until the very last day of our extension. Very poor communication and unprofessionalism from this office all the way up to their corporate office. I requested a reimbursement for the money I had wasted, and they reimbursed us after so many phone calls and e-mails. It was extremely unprofessional from all ends. We ended up having to rush to find a home because they wasted our time(several months), and thankfully, Academy Mortgage was able to properly approve us, and we closed with Kim Wolcott at Academy Mortgage in Auburn in 30 days. I'm Latina ,so I was all about supporting Latino business, but they let me down.

Veronica, aka branch manager, has done two transactions with me. Both transactions she is late getting the sale closed and does communicate at all. Literally goes silent and does not correspond with anyone involved in the transaction.

We worked with Gabriel Dias and his team. Just got done refinincing our home. Very knowledgeable and fast paced team. Always available to answer questions.

Germán and his assistant Carlos took the time and experience to explain everything in detail all throughout the successful transaction. We highly recommend their services!
