I started with a very good understanding of the details of a reverse mortgage and how I wanted to use it as a long term line of credit. I had a lot of questions and was slow to proceed until I had answers and the time to consider them, and then come back with follow up questions. I never felt rushed and they never seemed annoyed by my slow pace. After wasting hundreds of dollars for appraisals, and going through the application process, I finally got a straight answer as to why my waterfront property doesn't qualify for a reverse mortgage. Lake water, holding tanks, wells disqualify a property from having a fresh water supply, like city water, that is a requirement.. I finally got my answer and give 5 stars to this organization. Thank you for your help. I would like to update. My current situation of having fresh water delivery and stored in a water holding tank was approved by HUD.and is used in the Finger Lakes area now, where city water lines aren't available.

This is very helpful. Notwithstanding my husband was an attorney for 47 years he took all that knowledge with him when he passed. This page is great since not many understand reverse mortgages as a rule.

My friend’s mom has been in an assisted living facility for more than a year and she has a reverse mortgage on her home. I just suffered a loss in the family and went in google I found this site and I cant be happier. Going through a Reverse Mortgage foreclosure for a parent's home is a very emotional, confusing and difficult process. A lot of the information given by various agencies handling the reverse mortgage is many time inaccurate by the end of the process. We are thankful we found ARLO that helped us through it. i got here by googling search terms related to reverse mortgage questions i was interested in. i found there was so much to learn from other people's related questions and the answers provided here, i learned things i was interested in right away. i posted a long post with lots of questions, things i could not find answers to. Cliff's response went over the main things to expect related to the situation and the limits of what he knew about it. He shared some related information that might or might not relate that was very helpful and useful. Immediately from this reply to my questions, i got a feeling that i was cared about as a person and Cliff wanted to help me the best he could. That is a good feeling. i'm writing during some especially stressful times because of the global pandemic that's going on and the ways it's causes a lot of social isolation for me, so to have another person show kindness and interest in my questions, with helpful answers, uplifted my spirit. I have just begun to scratch the surface of the information available on this website and am glad to have found it.

This site/blog was the first helpful one I found, after spending days worried about a reverse mortgage issue/inspection notice that had me terrified. (Lender refused to answer.) I got a fast, thorough, clearly explained answer about what it meant and felt immediately reassured. This was after spending days scouring reverse mortgage websites, including HUD, who never addressed my issue. It was also free, but would have been well worth the cost of an attorney consultation. Can't thank Mike enough!

I had some very serious questions regarding my mother's reverse mortgage on her home. She has gone into assisted living and the home has to be discussed with the lender. Every question I asked was answered in clear and understandable language. Suggestions on how I can handle my current situation with the lender and the home were made and I'm happy to report I followed the suggestions and will be able to do the right thing. If you have questions, I highly recommend submitting them if you want clear and concise answers.

I am very impressed with All Reverse Mortgage. They walked me through the process and explained everything in a very clear manner. I was particularly impressed by their focus and intensity in getting things just right throughout a very complicated procedure. The appraisal was done quickly and the final signing was easy even though it was a lot of paperwork. All Reverse Mortgage gave me excellent, professional and courteous service at a price significantly less then the other companies I had gotten estimates from. Well Done!
