We’re disappointed with Academy. We used them on referral from a friend that worked there, who has since left. Our disappointment is in the advise Academy provided. Their inaccurate, ultimately untimely, advise regarding refinancing options has cost us incalculable amounts of money and when discovered was only recognized with a halfhearted apology. The person that gave the incorrect advise is now laid off. Three stars because I recognize that they helped us get our first home but we feel abandoned since signing with them. I would not recommend to anyone at this time.

As a first time home buyer, I did not know what I can afford and was not even if I am eligible as noncitizens status. They explained everything single details along the every step of the whole process. We could not be more happier with our loan with them and new townhouse we bought. Despite COVID situation, they made sure that every single request and email are responded in short notice, and they were really responsive on phone calls and emails. We shopped around with other lenders but academy mortgage offered a competing deal and safe choice for us. There were many ambiguous things come up as noncitizens but academy mortgage was the first one to let me know how it works and what documents I needed to provide etc...
