ABC Title of Uptown S Claiborne Ave, New Orleans

It really is "scary fast." This place is great. I've done title transfer, initial registration, license address change, license renewal, and registration renewal here. I think the longest it's ever taken was about 35 minutes... and that was for a simultaneous act of donation, title transfer, registration, and license plate -- and they even put the plate on for me (not one of those temporary plates, but a real metal plate... that being said, this *one* transaction was at a West Bank location, whereas all others of mine have been at the uptown location). Yeah, you'll pay an extra service/convenience charge, but it's never more than $23. Well worth it in terms of saved time, effort, and headache.

I'm shocked by how efficient and quick ABC Title is. I arrived at 415 on a Friday and am in my car writing this 15 mins later. My license plate fell off and I knew the DMV would be a whole process. I came into ABC Title and Kylie had a new plate and printed registration for me in 10 mins, she was quite honestly phenomenal! It was $60 cash (its approx 4% more w/ a card) and all you need is your license (or LA wallet) and proof of current insurance. Highly recommend ABC Title!

I needed a document notarized. Without an appointment, I was in and out in 5 minutes. Everyone was friendly. $20 cash or $20.79 credit card. Better all around than the UPS store in the same strip mall I used last time. Highly recommended.

Updating my rating because someone from the company reached out and assisted me. Thank you guys Have been calling them for 2 days. Left voicemails and have not received any call backs. The operator was very rude when I called back and let her know I keep getting voicemail she basically said it wasn’t her problem and transferred the call to yet another voicemail

Edit: Dave the VP of Customer Service reached out to me and resolved my issue at a different location. I’ve updated the review to 3 stars to reflect this shift. The incident below happened on November 2nd, 2021 at 1:30 pm. Absolutely one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. In July 2020 I came to ABC title to purchase an antique plates, provided all items to the organization. Paid for everything upfront. Organization was out of plates at the time and told me that I could receive get the plate when they were back in stock. Due to Covid I was unable to return until today. I was told that I had to re-provide documentation to the organization that I had already provided, despite the fact that I had a signed notarization(by this company) that they had verified all of that information already and that they had collected the necessary documentation. No problem, so I produced all of the documentation again except 2 color photos of the car (which again, they already had). I offered to email them to the office to print. They refused. I then asked to speak with the manager, a black women who never provided her name, who then proceeded to further escalate with me rather then apologize or provide a solution and instead she told me that she had a lobby full of people and literally walked away from me mid conversation. Maybe there was a shift in management since I was last here, but the woman was completely rude and did not take any ownership of her teams failure to inform me of what I needed and was unhelpful in simply printing out two sheets of paper which she could have easily done. Buyer beware.

Amanda Aguilar was absolutely the most helpful and pleasant person I have ever worked with any any kind of DMV/title capacity! She had a great personality, was very helpful, wonderful sense of humor and went the extra mile on a salvage title scenario with regards to clear instructions and a willingness to help. She managed to cancel my plate after my auto donation and was ahead of the curve the whole time! She was amazing. I will always use ABC title on Claiborne as long as she works there!

Ramada N Pollard was the lady who helped me. She had to be the sweetest and most professional person I've ever delt with when it comes to the DMV thanks for the help and will definitely be coming to your office in the future

Stay inside! When you enter, they have a login pad, where you give your first name and phone number. If you're not inside, they say, they'll call you, twice if necessary. I sweltered outside for 30 minutes to avoid the dubiously masked crowd inside and did not receive a call. I finally went inside to ask about my position in the queue (not displayed). They said they had called me twice. I had carefully checked my number for errors, so I know they did not call the correct number. I told them this and they still made me sign in again, at the bottom of the queue. Now I had no choice but to wait inside. Sometimes you don't get what you paid for.

They weren't kidding, they were scary fast in providing what we needed - a new title in less than 24 hours. Penny who helped us was GREAT - friendly, efficient, and fast! Overall a much more pleasurable experience than working directly with the DMV.

Such a fast and excellent experience today! Just moved to the state less than 3 weeks ago and Penny really took care of me today. She clearly explained what I needed, when I needed it, and how to do it! She was so kind, thoughtful, funny, and quick! She gave me her card for any trouble I had, and told me to contact her anytime!

Tremendous customer service! Was told I’d have 10 minute wait time, however was helped in about 5. Penny was so courteous and helpful! All staff appeared to be working as a well oiled machine. Very efficiently; highly recommended!

First off, I just want to acknowledge how amazingly awesome Ms. Penny is! She is great! She honestly needs a raise! I am actually writing this as I am sitting in front of her. She runs the entire joint from her booth number 5! Just screamed I love her walking out! She’s the best. 💕

Great service! Katie at station 6 was very helpful With a great personality.. her Ginger hair was so beautiful it even complimented the blue uniform shirt.... The staff as a whole was terrific and full of jokes... highly recommended at this location.

Did you know that there are private DMVs that can do the same stuff, except there's no line? CRAZY. This place is awesome. I don't plan on going to a public DMV again. Amanda was the person who assisted me, and she was great! Super nice and very helpful. Thanks ABC Title of Uptown!

I got carjacked at gunpoint and the car was recovered but of course with registration and license plate stolen. This meant I needed to get the car off of the list of stolen vehicles in order to get a new license plate and registration. Amanda at ABC was incredibly patient and helpful and kind while sitting on the phone with central OMV to get the vehicle off the list, even after they transferred her several times and told her-wrongly- that she had called the wrong number. Even with that runaround I was in and out of ABC in about thirty minutes. I'm so glad I could skip having to deal with the OMV myself. After the trauma of the carjacking itself, getting this sort of kindness and effective service was so wonderful and helpful. Thank-you Amanda!!

It was super easy to figure out what documentation I needed to bring with me & I didn’t wait at all when I came in on a Friday morning. The service was efficient and I was out of there in 20 minutes. The website has clearer directions than many of the state or city operated ones, including the DMV! Highly recommend.

ABC Title is scary fast. After a moderate accident, Penny at ABC Title in the Uptown Branch was the one person who actually explained the next steps after release from the body shop. Not the body shop, not my insurance. Penny assisted me with securing a salvage/reconstructed title to my vehicle and instructed me on the correct days to visit the OMV on Veterans Blvd for a vehicle inspection. Penny was very knowledgeable and straightened out my red tape after repairs. Now I can confidently transfer my 10+ year old vehicle to my nephew/sister in a couple years. Oh my goodness I cannot say enough about this office! I had planned to go to the DMV out of town (due to sparse appointments in New Orleans) and was prepared to stay for hours trying to get my car title transferred over. Penny was amazing! Took great care of me, everything was done in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend their services! I’m a happy gal!

These guys got me in and out super fast and efficiently when I needed to title and register my car and answered questions unrelated to that transaction. I also called them with questions about a potential transaction and they went so far as to email me and return multiple calls. Super recommend, pay the extra $20ish versus spending a terrible day at the dMV!

The lady managing the door was unnecessarily rude to my elderly friend who I was selling my car to, but after about a 10 minute wait we got in and worked with Penny, who was much more helpful and pleasant! She handled our title transfer quickly, while still managing to be patient and friendly. She had great customer service skills and made the experience worthwhile. If the lady at the front hadn’t been so rude, I would have given 5 stars.

We worked with Melody F. for our car registration and she was absolutely wonderful! Not only was she efficient but incredibly knowledgeable and gave us information about brake tags that we were not aware was a necessity. She was kind and professional! Definitely visit ABC Title for your car needs!

Melody was an absolute all star. I showed up with a complicated situation that involved phone calls, faxes and emails. My husband and I had a long laundry list of things we needed to get done at ABC Title - updating multiple car titles, a new ID and a Real ID. Ranada was so lovely and helpful and the entire experience took under 30 minutes (including wait time!). The staff at this ABC Title has been cheerful and helpful every time I’ve visited. They’re so quick at their work you’re back out the door before you know it! Why would you go to the DMV?? **EDIT TO MY EDIT** Once the management team from ABC saw this they were right on the case. They were professional and understanding, and were ready to even call my credit union if that was going to help find the money (it was lost in the ether for a minute - no fault on anyone). The money is now back in my possession, in less than a day. The way they handled this really made me understand how they value their customers. Thanks ABC! EDIT: I was double charged in error yesterday, and while ABC title claims it's not their fault, there has been an additional $320 paid to them from my bank account. Now it's 10 days until Christmas, and at least 10 days until I see that money through disputing it with my credit union. Thanks ABC!

Really fast and accommodating - Penny is the best!

My experience was awesome! They got me in and out in a timely fashion. Great spirits, nice energy and I felt welcomed. Everyone has smile on their faces, greeting consumers as they come in and go out!! Love them, from now on this where I’ll go to handle my business with the DMV. My teller was Ranada Pollard and she helped with any issue I had! I’m grateful to have her serving me.

Penny has been AMAZING! She has been working with me over the phone and email so I won't waste a trip in with inadequate paperwork. My car title transfer was filled out with very poor handwriting... I can only imagine what a nightmare going to the DMV would have been. I have used ABC Title for numerous things and just love it.
