A Yankee Peddler & Loan Main St, Norwalk

This was my first time at Yankee Peddler, and it will not be my last. The staff was courteous and extremely helpful. The store was clean, organized, and full of great stuff! I can't wait to go back!

Alex , Josh , Matt, and Pete are always ALWAYS friendly and fair! They always have great inventory and allow me to take my time , even explaining or teaching me about what I’m purchasing! Great place to do business!!!

I must have driven past yankee peddler a million times thinking it was just a simple pawn shop. How wrong I was !! Yankee peddler on main street is not only the best local "go to" place to rent a u haul van/truck but where great customer service and satisfaction go hand in hand with the large selection of merchandise including fine jewelry they carry. I needed to rent a small truck for the day Joshua and Matt made sure the process from beginning to end was quick, easy and affordable. Joshua made sure that I rented the right vehicle based on the size and quantity of the items that I was moving. He also offered their pawn services in case there were (large or small) items that I wanted to sell and since I already had the van, it can be done when I returned the vehicle. I did just that. It was smart and simple. No need to make 2 trips. They offered fair value for my items and even told me to take a picture of some larger items to evaluate them prior to me bringing them. Saving me time and money in case , the items were not of value. Don't drive by them without taking a peak .. it the local store that always has one thing on their shelves.... Great customer service!!!

This is my go number 1 go fo place for jewelry & silverware. There is a wide variety of silver & gold pieces. The staff is attentive, courteous & knowledgeable. Prices r AMAZING!!

Trustworthy, honest, a pleasure to do business with. In one instance I was present when a customer came in and brought some gold jewelry. The owner of the store asked how much she was looking to get for her items? She replied $150.00 to 200.00 the owner examined the jewelry and smiled and said “I think I’m going to make you very happy! Your gold will bring you $1200.00 dollars. Now in my mind that is honesty to the max! Shop here for your jewelry and other things and you will be treated honestly!

They are fair and totally trustworthy. The other day, another shop offered me $303 for a gold bracelet . Alex paid me $540.

I went in with a bunch of old gold jewelry and was hoping to get a decent price. I had called around and everyone else quoted me terrible prices and Alex quoted me full price. I was hoping for $5000 for how much I had, seemed like the right price for the current rate. When I walked out with a lot more I was shocked! I will always go back here and recommend them to everyone!

I liquidated US Gold Bureau coins. I made a huge mistake and should have returned them back because the amount I would have received would have been 4 times more than I got from A Yankee Peddler. I feel ripped off. This was money I was left from the death of my brother, which was going to help in my retirement and pay for his funeral costs and now I have to live with my mistake. I will never, ever go back to this place again. I hope that my lesson will help someone not make the same mistake.

I’ve purchased and have sold many items from here, and I highly recommend this shop. They are beyond friendly and make you feel so welcomed when you are in the shop. They make you very reasonable offers for your items and also set great prices for items. I wound up getting my engagement ring from this shop and I am absolutely in love with it. The entire process from picking it out to getting it sized was amazing. If you’re looking for a local pawn shop to support go here, you won’t be disappointed. Absolutely amazing!
