This was likely the easiest refinance I've experienced. Tanner and his team were greatly helpful in not only breaking down the process that was transparent and easily digestible but also keeping me well informed of the progress of the refinance along the way while also being available and quick to answer any questions I had. If given the opportunity for an even lower rate or maybe even a cash-out refi I would definitely want to do business with them again.

I had a great experience using 1st Rate Home Mortgage to refinance our VA home loan! I had looked up reviews before calling them. Their reviews were overall good, so I gave them a call along with two other lenders. After talking with Cody, I decided to go with 1st Rate (he was offering a better closing cost rate than other lenders and was very friendly and easy to talk with). The overall process took longer than expected, but that's understandable with everything going on with Covid-19. Cody was always easy to get in contact with. He kept me informed throughout the process without me having to call and ask how things were going. He was always professional, helpful, and friendly. The entire process was online except for signing the documents to close in which 1st Rate sent someone to our home who brought all of the paperwork and helped us through the signing process. I had been thinking about doing a refinance on my house, and had been receiving mail from different companies. I received one from 1st Rate Mortgage that caught my eye and decided to call. I worked with Max at 1st Rate Mortgage and had a great experience. He did a great job of keeping me informed on where we were in the refinance process. I was able to roll all of the refinancing fees into the new mortgage, and outside of the appraisal, I did not have to pay any cash out of pocket. I ended up saving 1.25% and cutting my monthly payment by almost $400.00. All and all it was well worth the phone call!

I’ve gone down the home purchase and refi roads a couple of times now and I was thoroughly impressed with Steve, Maria, Nicole, Joe, and the entire 1st Rate team!! Steve delivered the origination with transparency and detail. Maria and Nicole executed the loan and completion of documents rapidly.
