Zions Bank Head Office Reviews

I just had a horrible experience here! It started on Saturday when I used a Zions Bank ATM in City Creek Mall. It gave me a receipt showing the amount approved and that I paid the fee, but did not give me my money. I was told by the mall’s help desk to talk to Zion’s Bank to resolve the issue. The branches were closed, so I couldn’t talk to anyone over the weekend. Today I go in and spoke with a young man about my problem. He told me that even though it was a Zion’s Bank ATM, because it was in the mall, it’s not their problem. He said it was mine and my bank’s problem. When I tried to ask for more help and information, he asked with a fake smile on his face: “Do you understand what I’m telling you?” I was so insulted by this! I may be a woman with an accent, but it doesn’t mean I can’t understand what he’s saying! What I don’t understand is how an ATM with their name on it, that they placed in the mall, is not their responsibility. Ultimately, he was not helpful at all and still need to get my $260 back.

Worst bank ever!!!! No customer service and have built in communication walls that stop customers from getting problems corrected! I made a 121k payment to a loan to zero it out. It was zeroed out. They then returned the wire A WEEK LATER, that was admitwly their mistake (emails to prove admittance of the mistake), but they still say I didn't have a zero balance because this was returned by them by mistake. They are trying to charge payments based on the 5 times higher loan amount, which I paid to zero. Even if it was zero for a few days (which it was), that's all I needed for the lower payment. Zions/Vectra refuses to help and switch things! I am considering a lawyer to straighten this out. The statement I got says one thing, the online statement says another and the online ledger says another. Yes, 3 different ledgers for my loan!!! Also, the "most up to date" ledger changes dates of wires and I have wire confirmations on the correct dates. This all makes me think, how many people had problems like these, where Vectra/Zions were in the wrong, and refused to correct it and people just move on because they don't have the time money for attorneys? If an attorney reads this, feel free to reach out to me!

We’ve been a business account customer for over 3 years and Zions Bank is on strike 2 of 3. Strike one, they messed up processing my personal loan payments from the loan we used to open the business. They came at us with fines and late fees. We had to spend hours showing them documents and statements that payments were actually made on time, funded, but processed/allocated improperly by the bank. Crazy how they can’t process payments properly from one Zion account to another! Strike two, on 4-29-20 we purchased supplies from Lowe’s using our business debit card but never received the goods. On 5-1-20 we were charged by Lowe’s. On 5-14-20 we disputed the charge and got an email response saying it would be reviewed within 10 days. Upon reviewing my account on 6-24-20 I noticed we’d still not been refunded. Upon calling Zions bank I was informed they tried to call once for more information and had closed my dispute earlier that day. They didn’t try to call the other number on file, email us like they had originally done when I opened the claim, or even mail me a letter as I get mail from them all the time. They simply tried once, didn’t get through, and gave up. I’ve now spent over 6 hours trying to dispute a $145.41 charge of product I’ve clearly never received. It should have been simple, and easy. I’ve never had such bad experiences with any other financial institution in my life. It’s been nearly two months since the purchase with no product delivered and Zion’s Bank still doesn’t have my back. Instead of pushing the burden of proof of sale on Lowe’s, they pushed it back on me for some reason. I don’t feel my money is safe with Zions Bank.

What a disappointing experience. I had heard that Zions Bank offered quality service, and so, starting my new ventures in Utah, I opened accounts with them. The Zions Bank online banking platform is mired in outdated 1990's technology, with a very poor interface and confusing and poorly planned programs. For example, I opened an account and thought all was well--until I tried to wire out funds from that account. NO! You have to sign paperwork to be able to wire funds, and they need "wet" signatures--unless you fax it in! What is more 1980's than a fax? Do any of you have fax lines? How is that a superior document to a scanned PDF? Yet they WILL NOT let you email a scanned PDF of the same document. What do they prefer? MAIL. How ironic is it to MAIL "wet signature" documents via US Post--guaranteed to be received in no less than 10 days--to the Online Banking Center at Zions Bank. In the meanwhile, I'm trying to wire funds to increasingly impatient customers, and trying to close multiple deals--with NO HELP AT ALL from Zions Bank. I was told that their IT department WILL NOT SPEAK WITH CUSTOMERS at all. That tells me that they are a lazy bunch mired in outdated technology and literally "mailing it in" to make a paycheck. Frankly, THEY SUCK. If you're trying to do your business online, I have a strong suggestion to take your business elsewhere. If I had known this, I never would have opened accounts with Zions Bank.

I wish I could give zero stars. 1-star is not very truthful. Terrible customer service. They just don’t care which is unfortunate but true. Switched all accounts to Chase and am much happier and better serviced there. They would never let you fall through the cracks like Zion’s. Too bad.

Online bill pay does not show you when the recipient does or does not cash the check. I paid a business via bill pay on April 13th. The money was withdrawn from my account on the 19th. The business did not receive the check. The mail was returned to sender. Its now 7th June. Over 7 weeks latter. Before I called today I had not received any notice about the check not being cashed. I have not received credit. Zions bank needs better user accessible online bill pay tracking. If a check is not cashed then you should receive a timely refund.

Very attentive managers, came with a lot of questions and immediately resolved everything. True, the card went for 2 weeks, I thought it would come faster.

Friendly service, tellers greet the customers with a smile. Nice clean lobby. This branch is located next to the Macy's in City Creek Mall, and right across the street of Joseph Smith Memorial Building

Dealt with Jon Boyle for an important issue.. Super punctual. Honest. Responsive. Everything I missed with my 20 years with Wells Fargo. Thank you Jon for everything. You earned a customer for certain.
