Zillow Home Loans, LLC Reviews

Tried to work with them online to see what they have to offer. As soon as I completed the information, I had 10 different mortgage companies call me immediately and not one of them was actually Zillow. For days now I got dozens of calls and texts from different companies about mortgages. Very bad harassment that is relentless. All Zillow does is sell your info. Do not work with them. Its a scam!!!!!!

I would give them a zero if it was an option. Do not use Zillow Home Loans. The will sell your mortgage to a 3rd party vendor within weeks of closing and they sell your personal information. They also screwed up paying off my equity line and requested it be closed even though I didn't approve it.

I had the pleasure of working with Kim Brown. She was by far the best thing that happened to the process. We bought "by owner" and it was a tough process, but she helped make it smooth. She kept in constant contact with me on where we were in the process. She walked me through the craziness and was always there no matter what time of day. If I ever choose to purchase or refinance, she is my only choice! Thank you for making my dream come true -Ken and Amanda Schenk

I had an AMAZING experience with Mortgage Lender of America because of Janet Samson! Janet was incredible. I was amazed at how responsive she was. She also ALWAYS looked out for me. There were plenty of times through the process you could tell she had my best interest in mind. She exhibits quality customer service that is unheard of in any part of the real estate process. Truly a job well done! I would not have been able to get through this process without Janet's help. Thank you once again!

Patrick Lamour is simply the most unprofessional loan officer we've ever worked with. He is impossible to get ahold of. Doesn't answer emails or return calls. Our closing date has been moved several times. We are supposed to close today and haven't heard anything from him. We are very upset and it's almost impossible to get ahold of anyone on Zillow that can actually help us. I'm very disappointed. If this falls through and we lose our ernest money and the house, then we will drop this company and report to BBB.

I hope it's never to late to write a review. Approximately 3 months ago my husband and I worked with Mortgage Lenders of America. I was very skeptical about going outside our local banking area. But when I discovered our local bank would be selling our loan anyway we looked for better financing outside. Loan Officer Chris R. and his supervisor Eric stepped in and did a great job of getting our home refinanced. Both were very professional and knowledgeable. Chris answered all our questions and if he didn't know the answers he would find out and get right back with us promptly. He diligently worked with us even though our loan process hit a few snags during the way. Chris made us feel very comfortable during this process. I would highly recommend MLOA and Chris R.
We always appreciate hearing from our borrowers - it's definitely never too late. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience refinancing with us!

Mr. Steven Elliott is the ABSOLUTE BEST Loan Officer EVER!!! He is a true angel on earth with all the knowledge, guidance and comfort any borrower would desire when buying a home. He made our process: easy, even in the most difficult phases; fast, when others tried slowing us down, smooth, whenever a speed bump appeared; comforting, reassuring us every step of the way to keep our faith. Most importantly of all, he saved us from buying a lemon. Every buyer's biggest fear. Mr. Steven Elliott went way above his call of duty as a loan officer. He was our realtor, calling everyone involved in the transaction to keep the ball rolling; our coach, letting us know what to expect with all the uncertainties; our defender, making sure we got the house we wanted for the right price and best of all, a true friend. He always made us laugh and smile when we wanted to scream and cry. He always maintained constant and clear communication, even just to check in on us. It was very helpful that we spoke via text, email and phone calls. He showed us completed respect as a same gender married couple, which we found almost non existent in the real estate world. Knowing we had Mr. Elliott on our side was all the confidence we needed to make our dream home come true. I would tell anyone that buying a home is the most complicated stressful process one can endure, yet with Mr. Steven Elliott on your side, it is the most Beautiful experience anyone could have. We are so blessed and thankful for all his hard work. We highly recommend him to everyone and anyone looking to buy a home!
Marissa, Thanks for leaving such a glowing review of Steven. We hope you are enjoying your new home!

This was my first home purchase & I was scared to death especially after getting the run around from another lender. It took 6 months to close on the home (which had nothing to do with the lender or me) but my loan officer, Julie Adams, would NOT let me give up even though she thought I was crazy for not walking away. Everyone I dealt with was professional and made me feel like I was their priority and not just a person on the other end of the phone or an email. Julie and her team of great people worked and reworked numbers over the course of the 6 months to make sure I was able to stay qualified for a mortgage and everything she had me do was spot on all the way to the end when I got a check back at closing!!!! I am forever grateful for their professionalism, advice and support during the purchase of my first home. I couldn't be more grateful!

My wife and I would like to thank Mortgage Lenders of America, especially Janet, who kept working for us even though our loan process hit many snags along the way. From the IRS losing our tax return to helping us through the self employed part of our income they were champs. They never gave up and always kept working for us. We live in Wisconsin but had no problems working with them even though they are located in Kansas. Closing was quick and efficient and handled professionally. We feel that anyone who chooses Mortgage Lenders of America for their loan needs will have made a great choice.

Very unprofessional. I have owen multiple investment properties and a few primary residents the last few years. I have worked with different lenders and By far Zillow has been the worst. I am comparing rate just as everyone should and the loan officer straight up hangs up on me. I DO NOT recommend a company that is rude and unprofessional. If they treat you like this from the beginning what makes you think they will treat you any different through the rest of the loan process.

Do not waste your time with them. They will give you the run around. Just go to a bank. Hate I even attempted them first. Got all my information and ran my credit report I talked to someone twice and haven't heard from anyone in over a month.

I worked with Charles Jones Jr at Mortgage Lenders of America and he was awesome!! He made you feel that he was personally vested in your process and would be there every step of the way. He called and emailed me with new information to help keep the stress minimized. He explored all of my options to ensure I was getting the best deal possible! I'm just so happy that we found him! They closed on our loan on the estimated closing date. I'm so happy in our new home!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are always happy to hear from our borrowers. We're glad that you had a great experience with Charles, and Mortgage Lenders of America. Congratulations on your new home!

I recently financed a home with Mortgage Lenders of America, and highly recommend their services. I got a great rate, but most of all I was impressed with their customer service. Unlike a lot of lenders, I never felt pressured or hassled. My agent was always prompt, answered all of my questions, and worked hard to make sure I was well informed about the mortgage process. I will absolutely work them again the next time I need mortgage services.
Mr. Hickson, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience working with Mortgage Lenders of America. The stories and feedback that our customers share is very meaningful to us. We're glad to hear that John Salter and the internal team were able to help you through the process and deliver excellent customer service along the way. From all of us here at Mortgage Lenders of America, congrats on the new home!

Several months ago, I got in contact with a lender named Lisa from Lending Tree. I'm a first time home buyer, and really relied on her guidance throughout the home buying process. Let's start out with the positives first: Lisa was always available when I needed her. She was very quick to reply to my questions, and quick to process paper work. Now here comes the negatives. Lisa ended up costing me 1,000 dollars and without a home. It was absolutely devastating and left such a bitter taste in my mouth as a first time home buyer. TWO WEEKS before we were supposed to close, Lisa calls me telling me that none of the banks that they work with would give me a loan, telling me that the 'property was too risky.' At that point, I had already paid for the appraisal and inspection.I had already set up home owners insurance. NOT ONCE in our conversation did she apologize for express sorrow. I was clearly devastated and she did not even leave the slightest of empathy. Now, I understand that lenders cannot guarantee anything the bank does, but good/experienced loan officers can often times predict the outcome based on multiple factors. I got ZERO warning ahead of time. It came out of nowhere. Now I am out 700-800 bucks, no home, months of time wasted. Lisa gets to walk off Scott free, albeit with no commission. Everybody else gets their share of the money and buyer and seller gets screwed. I trusted Lisa as someone who knew what she was doing. Obviously, I was foolish to think so. If you are reading this and were seriously considering using Mortgage Lenders of America, I would seriously consider looking at someone local, preferably someone you can meet face to face. People like Lisa lives hundreds of miles away and they don't give a rats behind what happens to you as long as they get a commission. I received no sorry emails, phone calls, etc. My loan officer simply disappeared into the ether, moving onto her next slew of clients. TL:DR - Loan officer calls me 2 weeks before closing tell me the bank denied my loan request. I am out 7-800 dollars as a result.

We absolutely loved Mortgage Lenders of America and all due to Kimberly Brown! She is hands down the best and without her we would for sure not be in our first home so quick! I was totally new to the process and she virtually held my hand threw everything, she always answered my million questions really quick and was so patient and never got frustrated with me, even if i double asked the same questions to double check things. I honestly can NOT say enough good things about Kim, but I will gloat on her since she deserves it. She kept my updated every step of the loan process, she explained in detail what paperwork I still needed and after things were submitted, she emailed me right away to let me know it was accepted and whats next. My to-do list was never overwhelming because she gave me a short list each time until I finished it and she never rushed me or pushed to sign and she made sure I 10000% understood every part of my loan. I've read some of the other reviews and it really does depend who actually services you, and Kimberly Brown was A+++ service, so try to request her! And for final thoughts, she had me closed on the loan and my letter of commitment much earlier and have me a peace of mind during this stressful time to start packing and she followed through with everything that she said and promised as long as my paperwork was up to par and I was always honest with her about our finances and our situation and most important she treated me as a close friend who I felt really cared that I was satisfied and was getting a great deal with my current credit score and finances, what more can you ask for? So call Kimberly Brown and see what I'm raving about! Seriously!!

My husband and I recently purchased a home. Matt Wildy was fantastic. He took time to explain every question we had and more. He promptly returned every call and email we sent his way, no matter what time of the day is was. Matt was very professional and knowledgeable for the entire process. Even now, after the purchase is complete, he continues to check on us and wish us well. We appreciate him making what could have been a stressful procedure flow effortlessly. Thanks Matt, great job!

Let me just say, the Lord sent me Kim Brown, from Mortgage lenders of America. She walked me step by step through the Process and even checked after everything was over to make sure I was satisfied and happy. She was very meticulous and honest. I absolute loved working with her. I hope when I buy my next house she's still with this company! Kim if you happen to read this, my family and I absolutely adore you!

I had a great experience with Scott Ponick as my lender. Scott kept us apprised of what was going on and was always quick to respond to emails and calls. I have gone through the loan process a dozen or more times and this was the easiest yet. The ability to do some of the paperwork on line was great. I would highly recommend both Scott and Mortgage Lenders of America.
