We dealt with willow bend for almost a year as our construction company has been slow & inattentive to say the least. While dealing with willow bend we had to work with Robert as well. The only time Robert was professional, was during the first meeting. After that, it all went down hill. During one of his meetings with my bf, he was cutting his finger nails while my bf was explaining to him that we were having to increase our loan because our construction company didn’t buy the lumber when they were supposed to & now we had to pay an extra 10k. So you can imagine how upset he was having to go in, in the first place & then to have this guy, cutting his nails without a care in the world, speaks volumes. The last time we dealt with Robert was when we were going to start the closing process. He started blaming us for the high interest rate we were going to get because we didn’t start soon enough. LIKE WHAT? How is it our fault that our construction company hasn’t finished our home?! None the less, we got a high interest rate and needed to pay thousands in closings costs. Thankfully my bf called me before signing and I told him to leave as we were no longer doing business with them. I found another mortgage company that saved us like 2-3k in closing costs AND gave us a better rate. So what does Robert do when he finds out we’re no longer closing with him? He calls my bf to tell him that he “did him dirty” 😂! My bf “did him dirty” yet Robert was giving us a high interest rate and then has the audacity to tell us that he can match the rate we were given by another company. We said no and he didn’t like that. Told us that the appraisal on the house was going to come in 20k under. My bf and Robert exchanged some strong words (cussing) & that was the end of it. 0 professionalism! At the end of the day, we went with another mortgage company, saved on closings costs, got a better rate and our appraisal came in THOUSANDS over! We’re so happy we did not do business with this company 😊

Willow Bend was not the first company we tried to get help for our home but was the best and the one that made our dream home come true. Along with our construction company, Willow Bend was with us along the whole way. Even with the small obstacle we had Robert Cordova and Saul Moreno were there to get us through. Robert, Saul and Melissa helped my family with the purchase of our first and second home. Robert was very responsive to what we needed and wanted to do. He understood that we were going to purchase a home outside the valley and he reached out to Saul. Saul called us and we explained our plans and he jumped into action. He was able to get us a pre-approval in a short time frame which in the end allowed our realtor to move forward and help secure our second home. Melissa was in constant contact with us and walking us through the lending process. From making sure we understood the document we were signing, the documents she needed from us and at times simply to see how things were moving along with the home and how we were doing. Not only were they professional and respectful, but the made my family feel as part of their family.

As a first time home buyer I remember having so many questions about this entire process. But everyone I worked with at Willow Bend was helpful in answering all of my questions. Now that I have closed I could not be happier with the decision I made to go with Willow Bend. I have recommended this company to friends and will continue to do so in the future.

Robert Cordova and Lidza González where both very helpful with the whole Morgatge process and made it easy to understand since I'm a first time home buyer. They where both available to answer any questions or concern regarding my loan at various times throughout the day. They also exceeded my expectations by closing on the date that I picked with no problem. Lastly I would like to add that I am very satisfied on how evervthing went so smooth from the loan application to closing day. Their knowledge made everything so easy and simple to understand.

Very unprofessional! Karina Vargas and Robert Cordova. I trusted the so called "professionals" with my first home. They never returned my calls. According to them i was in the wrong. After sending him emails with the proof Karina wasnt doing her job i was informed they could not help me with my loan. No one had to courtesy to apologize and admit it was their mistake. Ruined my credit in the process. Would not recommend anyone to use them.

No professionalism what's so ever, from so called best in the business. Never answered calls, or emails, and when they did I had to send paper work 2 or 3 times. Lidsa is rude and talks down on people who are in their first time doing this process. Asked for updates and never got any. Then seller canceled the sell and they did not bother telling me. Had to contact real estate agent (who didn't bother telling me either) Did not end up with a home, credit got burned up a bit, and didn't even get my earnest money back. Would definitely not recommend

I had an awesome experience with Willow Bend Mortgage in McAllen TX. I went in there hoping to be able to buy a house but afraid I would not qualify because of my credit. All I can say is that Robert is awesome! He looked at my credit and said I can get you your home. He guided me on how to improve my credit and in a couple of months I was approved. I've had my house now for one year and nine months and I am so grateful with Robert and the rest of the people there at Willow Bend Mortgage for making it happen for me. Forever thankful!

Our lender susan would loose out documents, would call later acting like nothing happend and say this is alot of money the bank is lending you need to send me the papers, AGAIN!! Change out loan type without my oppinion. They just wast money do not care for customers! Went to cordoba office to get a worst answer he sayed this was our dream like acting it was my fault. This was more a nightmare!!! Cost us money and time!!! They act like they are doing us a favor they need some customer service classes!! People read the negetive reviews this is going to happen to you!! I didn't and I payed the consecuences!!!
