This company received a debt from Cox Communications against me. Williams & Fudge, Inc. has professional, kind, and helpful people who want to make sure your credit is not ruined by a crooked company, such as Cox. I spoke with a few different people at Williams & Fudge and every one of them was kind and wanted to help me. It is refreshing to have polite and helpful people to deal with...maybe they should diversify and train Cox Communications in quality customer service. Thank you so much Williams & Fudge!

It's obviously never fun to deal with debt collections, but of the places I've head to deal with this was on of the more pleasant ones. I had an old debt from college (like 17yrs old) that came back up. I asked for a lower settlement amount and they were able to lower it about 20%. Payment was easy and person I talked with was helpful and professional.

Honestly the kindest debt collectors you'll ever deal with. They genuinely want to work with you here, and will do everything they can from their side to help. Obviously nobody enjoys getting a call from debt collectors. But being treated like a human being instead of acting like debt is a massive moral failure makes a huge difference.

They leave voicemails without stating why they’re calling or who they are trying to reach. They come at you very aggressively on the phone and when I try to explain the situation that I’m in with the school they demand payments I didn’t even know about. Overall very rude, demanding, and aggressive people.

Just bought a home and a car. I know who I owe. So anyone they are representing to collect from me are confused. Glad I have a block on them. Ask for a married name I had over 40 years ago. Are you serious? Good luck with that🤔🙄😲

I have never had such a pleasant experience paying off a debt like the one I had with them. I didn't have a ridiculous hold time. And they were compassionate about me being in the process of being approved for a mortgage loan and was willing to submit a removal with the credit bureaus immediately. They even offered to speak with the mortgage lender on my behalf if they needed any additional information.

Very accommodating for me. Not a fun experience to have to pay off debt from a debt collection agency but they worked with me and understood my situation. Once or twice when I could not make the monthly payment I called them up and they said no problem.

Listen, nobody likes having debt in collections. I was against my debt with UofL one hundred percent at first but it’s just something that had to get paid. Mr.Hope was great and was always available every time I called. He was super knowledgeable about what I could do and how much I could pay to get my debt paid off fastest, but he was also really understanding if I just needed to pay the minimum (which is exactly what I did for 6 years).

This is a very bad company! I have paid off my debt with them and they are refusing to tell my school about it. Every time I call they tell me something different. The first time I called they told me they would report to my school the next day, the next time I called they told me that they report to schools on Fridays every week (once a week), and the final time they told me that they tell the schools at the end of the month. They are unwilling to help or communicate at all. Whoever is answering calls is very rude and unprofessional. I have been lied to every time I call them, if you can, find another way to pay off your debt because this company is a huge scam.

They are very rude when you try to work something out. They claim they are working with you but they aren’t they use scare tactics to get their money. No other collection agency is this bad. They should never be used by a business any other collection agency is better then this. If you do have to work with them avoid working with johnathon. He has to be one of the rudest people. Like you try to make a payment and you literally need it extended and he is very rude about it. Poor customer service they really should check their recordings for quality because they would see how terrible theirs is.

I would like to genuinely say I'm very pleased with the professionalism and caring nature behind this company. I have been working with Renee Barnhart for the last 5-6 months or so and she has been so flexible, attentive to my needs and completely understanding at every corner. She truly has made this process a lot less painstaking and I'm glad she's there for my support! Bob Duenkel is really great too, I had a recent issue and he contacted me very quickly and took care of the matter instantly. All in all, you're in great hands with William & Fudge by your side!

Awful customer service. They will hound you for money and then when you send money they act confused where the money they recieved went. They did not send me a receipt for my payment and then the next day had the nerve to ask me for a receipt! Luckily something in my soul said take a screenshot because they are all slimy! Now they are saying I still have a balance from interest because they did not process my payment in their system on the correct day. I promise I will sue this terrible company before paying them another penny! Bunch of scammers! Not to mention every person I tried to have this solved was completely rude! Saying the original debtor has to approve of me not paying the extra day of interest when it was WILLIAMS AND FUDGE MISTAKE!

When Williams and Fudge first contacted me they seemed very professional. They later showed their true colors. They called at least repeatedly even though I had fully fleshed out a payment plan. They would call as early as 7am, even though on multiple occasions I informed i them of my sleep apnea and ptsd. It's plain rude. Disrespectful to vets should be all you need to know.

Customer service is horrendous and beyond unprofessional. The lady was so rude. She talked to me like I couldn’t hear or understand,I offered to pay small amounts on what I own and she refused and wanted all of my money in my account but couldn't do it because I needed to also pay other bills. I also wanted to pay online and not give my account information in a public place.

I was in a tough place to pay off a debt at one point and they were very much willing to work with me in my situation. If I could give them no stars I would. Sandra was very rude an don’t know how to talk to people. Obviously they notate accounts with what they want to put. Also talked to a supervisor an they all talk as though they are beneath you an better then you. I withdrew from classes and south university didn’t do what was needed an I now have debt go figure. Leave it to the debt agency to talk to you like you owe them personally an if you don’t pay it’s coming from their check. They talk like you are scum on the bottom of their shoes. They talk like you are a complete no body. Of course when you are fed you start to talk the same way. of course they can’t take what they dish out. I would say if I ever thought about paying them back after my experience it would be because of Ashley she was a lot more pleasant than anyone I spoke to an understanding. So to all the scums are this agency take a couple pointers from Ashley...

My son was in collection with this company for college...mind you he is 19 and has his own opinion about how to handle life but if you’re smart you will ask for help. Matt was my contact person. For three weeks we kept in contact. My first loan did not go through. When I called Matt he said we go to plan b. What stands out is that he said our company has the student in mind and they will help me solve this for my son. There are companies that care...these people do. Justin, Sheka, Michelle and Erica were respectful and kind, also helpful. That is something we need in life and work. I was referred to Bob so he could know his team is awesome. I thank him for his time. He is also awesome...thus as well is his people. Oh and I did get a loan with their Matt’s and Justin’s guidance I am proud to say Blake’s balance has been paid. Yay! Best wishes to you all and again thank you for your kindness and helpfulness. Be safe. Happy holidays. Theresa Rosseter

I was set up to use W&F when I owed some money to a university when I left and I have had no problems with this debt collector they are the most professional and friendly debt collector I have ever used. They will help you set up a payment plan that is good for you and work with you if you can’t make extensive payments or large payments. There lowest rate for me was very low in my opinion and worked out great to help me pay off my debt and I will be finished in December and can’t be more thankful and excited after two years thank you so much for the great customer service.

Great collections company. Always professional when dealing with debt. People like to complain about them but those same people like to complain about paying their bills. Further more, good fudge. Marilyn also happens to be the best client support representative. If she left, I'd quit my day job and take up a juggling act. I can't even juggle! I've been dealing with W&F for 7+ years.

The gentleman, Mr. Ronny Jackson, that called me today to inform me of my account being referred to their office was extremely professional in dealing with what it considered a difficult situation for most. He assisted me by providing resasonable options in reconciling the matter at hand. His professionalism is much appreciated and I hope he is recognized for his outstanding performance in representing this company.

So, I had a guy continuously call me, I answered once.. while I was trying to get a few groceries. He was beyond pushy, he was downright rude and didn't seem to comprehend what I was telling him...That I'd make a payment or payment plan as soon as I was able to, and he insisted we could set one up right then (I couldn't have). Then he said that he needed to inform the school that I'd be making a payment and I said that I could even do that when I was able because I had planned on going back anyway. I eventually just hung up because he continued to get more pushy and rude, and I wasn't going to give any personal info over the phone. Pretty sure his name was Aiden or Hayden. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've never once gotten correspondence through the mail from them.

I receive DAILY calls, sometimes multiple calls per day, from this company. They are looking for the person who had my phone number before me, I've had the number for about 8 years now. I've told multiple associates that they have the wrong number and they each assured me that they'll update their system and remove my phone number. Yet the calls continue as they have for the past several months. Each time I block a Williams & Fudge phone number they turn around and call from a different number. Please oh please, when someone tells you that you have the wrong number then STOP CALLING THAT NUMBER.

My account manager Shelly is honestly a delight. On top of that when Williams and fudge contacted me about my debt they were willing to give me time to adjust and confirm all the things I needed to do. They’re a very reasonable and professional personnel. And they’re always willing to help with any questions and concerns and ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH YOUR INCOME AND HOMELIFE. I caught covid this year and during that time they gave me my necessary time to readjust to my life. It was extremely helpful and empathetic and I’ve only had pleasant experiences. Thanks guys!

Look, here's the thing. Pay your debts people, it's that simple. There's your disclaimer. In practice, Williams & Fudge is simply doing what they were hired to do. However, I certainly do NOT care for the incredibly rude, shady, and borderline nasty people working for this company contacting my friends, family, coworkers, AND even my ex-girlfriend who I haven't seen in 3 years, all in an attempt to simply find my brand new phone number (Christ, a simple email would have sufficed). This harassment all happened during the pandemic no less. A few months ago, I completed my 9-month loan rehabilitation program with them, and while I no longer have to deal with them (as my loan is now back with the original creditor, and paid) ... they're wrong if they think that nearly a year later, that I've forgotten about that scary, and frankly embarrassing experience. I have no idea how they even managed to find the contact information for the people that I mentioned, particularly if they couldn't even find any info for me, but randomly contacting them one-by-one on a Sunday evening and saying "Hello this is ___ on a recorded line, do you know how to find ____? I have personal business." ....... is absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable. Very glad that this experience, and this company, is behind me... but I'd be remiss if I didn't (at the absolute very least) share my thoughts on that. Again, just pay your debts, no matter how small.

A Ms Coley, Ms Thompson, and Mr Dunkle were all amazingly helpful. They were able to help me pay my debt off easily and quickly no rudeness you associate any other collection agencies with. When I emailed them with concerns on getting the negative info off of my credit score, they got back to me with in the hour and swiftly assured me when my credit bureau would get its new report. Excellent customer service and care.

I spoke to a representative this morning about changing my payment method and price of payment. I asked it to be lowered, and she immediately responded with a higher negative voice/tone saying "what all of a sudden changed from the time we spoke, to now?" and proceeded to ask me "who gave you this advice?...They don't know what they are talking about" as well as "we are helping you...". I then informed her I was seeking budgeting advice from a local friend. She persistently kept pushing me to try and tell her who exactly it was that gave me this advice and I was not going to name names. She was quick to get upset and so I mediated with her and said "how can we meet in the middle.". She immediately changed her tone and responded as if she didn't just "reprimand me severely" (chew me out) and proceeds to help me out properly with no confliction. I didn't have any tone in the conversation as well as being understanding of their job throughout the whole conversation. I hope the company brings up this matter with her and can reach out to me with further questions on the situation.

I've never had such a nice experience paying off a debt in my life. I wish I could deal with these people more (though preferably outside of collections). My school gave me the run around, left me in tears, and wouldn't help me. The lady I spoke to was so sweet, funny, and helpful. She honestly was more helpful in ten minutes than my school was in the last 4 years. If more places were like this, I bet more people would pay off their debts.

Here’s the thing. When you have a debt sent to collections, you are obligated to pay. I understand that, but collections can be awful. People aren’t understanding. Just rude. The first lady (Peggy) I dealt with was pushy and not very informative. I demanded full info, but she didn’t want to share the info: just seemed off to me. I didn’t like her at all. She kept wanting me to agree to the debt and start payments. I was beyond angry and felt like she wasn’t caring at all. I Was dealing with a lot in my life health wise and my daughter and it was the week before Christmas so I blew her off. When I finally decided to make the call back I was assigned to Christie Childers instead. Don’t know why, but so glad I was! Different as night and day!!! I can’t believe I’m saying that I don’t mind calling a collection agent, but she is kind, supportive and understanding and genuinely wants to help you! Has your best interest at heart but isn’t pushy! So, for those who are saying they’ve had a bad experience. Ask for someone else! Most of the time when you call back the phone routes you to the person you are assigned, so if it’s bad, ask for someone else! From what I can see they have multiple good agents with just a few bad ones. And you can do it! Pay it off. They can help you find a way that works best for you and take the weight off of worrying about it. And I hope the company actually reads this...because she deserves amazing credit! To be in the business she’s in and still show empathy and compassion is rare. She’s an employee you want to keep!

My husband and myself had the privilege of working with Tim Shaw to figure out some of my husbands debt that had gone into collection. He was extremely kind and overwhelmingly helpful. We are young and trying to straighten ourselves out financially. He did an fantastic job making sure our communication was clear and that every question was clearly and thoroughly answered. We communicated over the phone and throw email and he proved such an amazing experience that most people are afraid to deal with.

I don't think I have ever had anything positive to say about a collections office but this one!!! Literally the best people I have EVER dealt with! I owed a significant amount to my college and this collection popped up literally less than a week before I was due to close on my house! Originally, I spoke with the representative, Tanya Gordon, who I truly believe was an angel assigned just for me! She was the sweetest person and went above and beyond to help out knowing my circumstances. We were able to settle for a reasonable amount and let me tell you it has not even been a full week and they have removed the collection from my credit report!!! Of course, my mortgage lender was being a little difficult on the wording they would accept and how the letter looked and read so when things got above what Tanya could do I was sent to Mr. Bob Dunkel. I left Bob a voicemail after 5pm and by 6:43am the next morning my request was in my email! THE MOST RESPONSIVE, FRIENDLY, AND DOWN TO EARTH TEAM I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH! I thank God that this was the agency that I had to deal with at one of the most important times in my life!

I would like to start off by saying, im not a great person financially. Ive been hit by a lot of life milestones in the last two years since I went to college for ONE semester, and these people had the audacity to call me while I was pregnant and without a job to demand a payment. Nearly made me late for my job because the man on the line wasnt listening to me say I did not have money and that I had a job and would be more than happy to talk when I wasnt running late to my FIRST DAY. Now, in December and January I asked two, TWO, representatives to mail me the detailed breakdown of my debt that I owe to my college and they both said that they would and that Id recieve it by mail. Today I had a female representative call me, Michelle Dawkins, call me. Not only did I ask her where my paperwork was that was supposed to be mailed to me but also asked why I was getting calls from them in the middle of the night. She asked me where and who else I owed money from. I went from one angry person to a livid person. I asked her for her supervisor, she said no then later on in the call she asked if i wanted a supervisor and I said no, because you already said no. So, Williams and Fudge, not only am I upset you havent sent the paperwork youve promised twice now, your employee that Ive spoken to today should not work in customer service, and everything is on that recorded line cause i agreed to it unless she deleted it. Fix it. Were in a pandemic by the way. Theres something wrong with you people asking for people to pay off debts in your laid out plans. Some of us cant afford it, but according to Michelle we probably owe a lot of money to other places. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Michelle, Thanks for making me feel like you did. Youre such a "wonderful" person.

A collections representative by the name of Derrick Goodyear just called me. I tried to explain to him that I was in an Uber and could not talk at the moment. He decided to be rude, disrespectful, and over talk me. He told me he would just write down, "refused to pay!" Which I never said, and I'm sure the recording will prove that. He yelled and hung up in my face. I have never experienced anything like this with a collection agency. I'm in the process of paying off all my debts and this small student loan is one of the debts I was ready to repay. The loan isn't even $2000. I will be following up with the FTC, BBB, and someone from Williams and Fudge management team. Update: I just received a call and the representative was extremely understanding and professional. He assured me that the type of behavior I experienced from the debt collector was unacceptable and the situation would be taking care of. I am now waiting on a call from someone who will help me consolidate my loan. I am very happy with the outcome of everything!

Called in today for the rep to tell me my account has had a 0 balance since April 2019.My credit report has not been updated as 0 balance. I thought debt collection agencies report accurate information and follow the FCRA. Once explained that to the rep she got very hostile and said the college would have to be the one to report the balance . I told her yet you guys are the billing company and the ones reporting to my credit file. She transferred me to a supervisors voicemail of course I’m still waiting for a call back. This needs to be removed from credit due to not follow the federal laws of the FCRA

I felt inclined to leave a positive review today. Now, this is a debt collector and everyone leaving a negative review has put themselves where they are with their credit on their own just like I have. Only mine is from rescuing my dog, Hazel in my dorm room at Spring Hill College and accruing move out fines from illegally housing her to take her home with me when I graduated. Worth it. Williams and Fudge did not accrue these debts, I did and they are just doing their job. Most of the negative reviews are out of anger due to the money one owes from what I can see. My first rep, the account manager on my specific account Wesley was a nice human and my experience I believe will provide him with more knowledge that he did not have on the phone call with me. I received my second account manager, Jason Ryan, a supervisor who I really vibed with. He was a nice man and was a human not a robot. He allowed me to formulate a smaller payment plan over a longer course of time after talking with him. I am a very inquisitive individual and he handled that in a mannerly way and with ease. He did answer my questions outside of my account to the best of his ability regarding the bureaus and such. If you need to ask for a supervisor do so, but my first rep was not bad nor uninformed of his job he just wasn’t prepared for certain questions and scenarios so it was a learning experience for him and I learned more on my call with them as well. For the demonized debt collector stigma they were pretty angelic. I actually think as a youtuber myself, Jason would perform well with his own youtube channel discussing debt, giving information on collections, and credit and informing the general collective of information most of us don’t know when it comes to collections, credit, ect. Just a thought if he sees this review. I believe he would be successful with a channel like that. Thank you for the help. I appreciate the humanity. - Katie

The fact that this place has been calling me about. About Some collection that I have no idea about based on the information shared from the Rep i spoke with. And me explaining to them that I never had this account. And am working on my own research because its definitely fraud, If some one used my info and got an account with out my acknowledgment. Not to mention that they have called my job about this matter. Not taking note. That I told them its not me. I never had account such as mention. Stop Harassing people!

Williams & Fudge has been an amazing company to partner with for our student debt collection process. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with the legal aspects of debt collection and best practices. They are also very responsive when we have questions. They treat our students fairly and with respect. I have never had a student complain about the way they were treated. I would highly recommend Williams & Fudge.

The way they approach calls makes them seem like a scam. Very robotic customer service, and not very understanding. Overall, a very suspicious call. I gave them 100 dollars, let’s see if it goes towards my loan! Edit: he was professional. I told him to have a great weekend and he said “ok.” Rude and honestly, just very awkward and suspicious. Bringing it up to 2 stars.

Justin and the others that I have spoken with are phenomenal; providing sound advice and suggestions to satisfy the debt and working with me on payment frequency and amounts. Thank you all again for helping me tie up loose ends and clean up owed debt.

2 years ago, my partner got a scholarship from a college. He had some issues with them receiving his transcript (after we showed proof the previous college sent it 3 times, and he finally handed over a paper copy to the finances office, twice). So they declined all his aid, federal and scholarships and said he owes 13 grand. It went to this company. Let me tell you, this is the WORST loan collection company in the history of the world. They sent us a letter stating since they never received the transcript and now we're seeking this money. It was supposed to be simply 3 grand in a federal loan. So he sent a reply, with screenshots showing they got his transcript from multiple sources. No response. He then called. 6 times... NEVER answered. All on different days. All during business hours. So we forgot about it and assumed it was taken care of. Just started receiving notices from them AGAIN. Once again, we have emailed multiple times, and called 5 times. Never any response. This is a scam company trying to avoid us so they can keep trying to take our money. Im so sorry if you ever have to deal with them.

A college claims I owe them an amount but never felt the need to reach out to me. Until a month ago, my address was the same for 3 years and my phone number has been the same since I got my first cell over a decade ago. Called Williams and Fudge and Jason was insufferable. I asked why, if I owed anything no one contacted me until the letter stating my credit would be hit in 30 days. I asked for proof of when they supposedly contacted me because it’s not probable that every letter went missing for years and for proof of the debt. He kept talking over me and stating that they didn’t have to show me anything and if I kept “arguing” with him that he would hang up on me. I went into the conversation willing to work something out with them if they had proof - I had paid the college but if something didn’t go through I’d pay but it upsets me they did not contact me or send me proof of debt - but at this point, they need to show me proof and prove they made attempts to contact. At this point, I will involve my lawyer and have already contacted them. Absolutely shady company.
